TY KK. She had to travel to Shriners in SC today to have a device custom made for her to sit in. Her back is so crooked it's making a bedsore from the inside out, so idk if it will work or not. For those who don't know, her condition is believed to be caused by her mom taking Lexipro (sp?) when pregnant. When she is 30 lbs they will operate to try and straighten her back, but right now shes only about 13 lbs even though shes 17 months. It's hard to know how bad the hydrocephalus affects her mental capabilities, but she can (kinda) blow kisses. /default_smile.png Once she can talk it will help people help her a lot more. That is a very nice thing you are forthat little girl AuBree....
But I think we can all agree things like her and her condition help us see our problems in a much different perspective. She's an inspiration to say the least. Seeing her smile even though she has so many problems can make a gloomy day seem a lot brighter, iykwim.
If anyone wants to help they can do so at http://www.gofundme.com/42h81o. Unfortunately it hasn't worked as well as we hoped, though I personally have given them a CC to use over a year ago and I've "donated" about $1200 by letting them use it for gas, food and anything else they need but can't afford. I'd pay for the A/C through it myself but my fixed income doesn't leave enough room for even the minimum payment on a 5k unit. If not having to spend about 2k in repairs this summer to keep my homeowners ins intact I would have helped more myself.
Thanks for reading and commenting though, H~T
