What Do Benzos Feel Like?

It's interesting how many people including myself have changed 1 DOC for another DOC. I managed to get off opiates with Alpraz. Now I'm looking to get off Alpraz with Valium. Than probably back to opiates again. I use in extreme moderation, for the most part, and will miss the Alpraz for the amazing sleep!

A couple cocktails or beers before bed, and a little blue K, and I'm sawing logs for 7-8. Never slept better! (Yeah, I know, it's a dangerous combo)

A combo I'm very familiar with YB, but seconded on the potentially dangerous combo..

However, I suppose it depends on how generous you are with the cocktails :-) but, those little blue K's are very sleep friendly...

Oh you used benzos to stop taking ops. too? Do you mind telling me how you did it?

The problem I've got (I've tried one zanacz) is that it made me tires, and that is the exact problem I want to counteract when stopping the ops. I have a pretty full on day and the effects lasted well into the next day. I've noted your experience of swapping one addiction for another. Thanks for the heads up. Tbh I don't think I'll be trying the zanacz again, made me very woozy and forgetful. Ive started a taper plan so if I get to the stage of having trouble sleeping I might have half.

Good luck with your attempt to drop them /default_smile.png

Yeah, cross addiction stinks. I am so paranoidafter quitting trams that i only allow myself to take an opiate or soma no more than two days in a row. Say i take soma for two days then i cant take any more for a few days. It is a lot of worrying. I even keep a calendar :(

I can agree with what's been said so far. Anxiety is something that I've struggled with over the years, and it can get pretty close to paralyzing if something big happens. I had a life-changing event about a year ago, and l0ras helped see me through to the other side.

I feel no euphoria from them, they just calm my nerves and usually make me very tired. They're not something I take in the daytime except under extreme circumstances.

I usually keep my doses low, and haven't had to deal with much in the way of addiction.

Has anyone ever tried x@n@ax with diaz and PKs?  I am scripted 15 mg O*Y 3 Xs per day with Ro*y 10 mg 3X per day.  I have x@n@x .5 for muscle spasms but it isn't working.  I have taken up to 2 mg of zanies with PK but have never added Vals. Unfortunately with that experience I was also drinking alcohol and my husband had to take me to the ER.  I woke up from the black out laying on a gurney with an IV in my arm.  Evidently I was talking the whole time...no idea what I said!

kiki, no more that two substances at a time. Benzos and pk's can be seriously fatal if taken in large quantities. A lot of the recent death in Hollywood have been a combo of pk's and benzos.

If you have to take them together try to stagger the dosages and don't lay down.

Thank you H.B.  I appreciate the advice and will take it to heart.  I am trying not to take the amount of scripted meds I have been given but the benzos help out the pain immensely.  Time to invest in a pill box so I know how many I am taking.  That is my problem lately.   /default_sad.png

So easily done kiki.. Just keep popping them until woops they're all gone. I'd watch it with alcohol in general as it doesn't mix well with pretty much anything. And you can get so drunk so quickly. Pill box with a 6 number combination lock is a good idea for me.. Or even a time delay one, like 24 hours.. Wonder if they make those?

You have no idea how many times I have wished for a timed lock box. Lol! Ok no seriously.

Or maybe one of them pill organizers. I vaguely recall in the past when I was drinking and taking benzo I wasn't sure if I could take another cause I did know how many I already had. Luckily God or someone else was watching out for me.

I never took them recreationally but when I had feelings of doom and when my heart was pounding so hard out of my chest I would take two pills and what relief I would get in 15 to 30 minutes because I thought I was going to die. That relief to me was called euphoria. But I think if I was to take them just to take them, they would probably make me sleepy. But they do work wonders if you have anxiety and panic.

It's probably dose related for most folks and also depends on the amount of tolerance you have developed. But for a serious panic attack when all reasonable thought flies out the window they are a godsend and can make me feel relaxed again in 20-30 minutes. They do make me sleepy though and this is potentiated by alcohol intake of course (not a good idea).

Well when you have a major panic attack and pop one of them lil tic tacs, you will feel so much better that you will want to get down on your hands and knees and thank the dear lord for it. For me they are a miracle.

Where do you look for these. I have not tried one but would like to see if would help ne. I looked at C4H and CR but noddy

Popular topics on the International List are the way to go, you'll find something.

If you've never taken them before, read up on the risks. Beginning to take anything can often be pretty life changing.

If you need them medically, though, like I do, they feel like a god send, but I guess that's part of the problem.

I never felt euphoric but I still got addicted, so idk. I think they make me bitchy but I have lived with anxiety since I can remember, a feeling of pressure in my chest every second of every day. So I take them just to be a little less hype. I have been trying meditation and visualization as a means of ridding myself of the anxiety but thus far no dice.
I believe a Benzo called medazepam is meant to be quite euphoric but it's not very easy to source from what I understand

It all depends on what benzo you use they all have dif effects it just very relaxing no anxiety dream like take on a stressful day and everything's good.

  1. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.

  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  6. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
