I was a member here years ago, local BTC days. Never very tech savy, but never had problem with DNM's or with vendors I found off here. Now I can't even become a member because I CANNOT figure out how to send btc's anymore. Using coinbase, only possible to trnsfer to c.base wallet.... I work 50 hrs. a week and don't have time for this $#@%! I just want some good dissos which has proven over 25 years to be the only way to sustain from my nasty opiate addiction!:( Is zengo wallet for example the same BS?

Would start by watching Youtube videos and understand the basics.
Go from there and you will get the hang of it.

I've been..., imformation overload. I think certain companies like coinbase intentionally do that to keep you from using them exclusively.

Honestly the easiest way to use BTC is cashapp to be honest!

It looks like no matter the provider, it is a no go without some form of photo id along the way either. I heard that Exodus should do it, not thus.

It took me a bit to figure it out so i can just tell you how I did it. I bought bitcoin on Cashapp since I already had Cashapp. There are instructions on the internet on how to do that. I got the Blue Wallet app, which required no personal information-there are instructions for how to use that. Transfer the bitcoin you purchase in Cashapp to whatever wallet you have. Send $ from your wallet to the bitcoin address for the Vendor, that will give you a transaction code. It's not difficult, it's just different but once you do it the first time- it will seem easy next time. Hopefully that helped and made sense- if not, I also work 50 hours a week and am dead tired right now.

Is there a way to do this without having a mobile phone number?

Is there a way to do this without having a mobile phone number?
Nowadays, pretty much every online exchange requires a mobile number in the first few steps when you sign up. Before 2FA became popular, you used to be able to sign up with just an email address.

If you live near one, some crypto ATM's that accept cash will generate a token or QR code to be entered on their website that will 'unlock' your funds allowing them to be sent directly to any private address that you type in. Usually, you would send them to a private wallet like Exodus or Electrum, first, as paying a vendor directly using this method is not recommended. I've never done it this way, but I'm sure it has been discussed here and elsewhere in great detail.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I don't live near one. I'm trying Exodus, which wasn't all too complicated (hmmm) but going further it looks like I can't actually buy without using Sardine. They ask for my number, but don't call with a code. I guess they want a mobile number then. Who knows. Like the OP, I am getting rather sick of this, and have a really hateful cat on my lap as well. Looks like a no go for me :(

Just went through the same BS with Sardine last night. Transaction cancelled! Totally irritating hey? Going to try the cash app route. Sad that harmless researchers have to fall in the same category as criminals.

Cash app is probably out of the question. I get blocked every time I try to open the site by 'cloudflare'.

So after spending a half hour on the phone with coinbase support, I was finally able to send btc here to become a member. Turns out I was just doing a few things wrong/had to zoom out.... One hurdle complete!

Good for you👍 I finally had success myself using Exodus, avoiding Sardine due to the phone issue. Exodus's help staff was amazing, and managed to get me through my first BTC transaction. (I swear I don't work for them, and bet they are glad of that too...)

Now to get pgp down....

coinbase charges me like less than a dollar to buy $1000 in btc, I don't see how that's bad. you must be referring to the basic front-end.
Yea i shouldn't have said coinbase it's been several years since I've used them. I just find strike to be easier and cheaper than cashapp at least. The fees on strike are from .9% down to .3% depending on the amount and volume you buy. It's very user friendly and you can send it to another wallet for free using their flexible delivery option. But it can take 24 hours. You can set up automatic bill pay from btc that is free too I believe. It is just really user friendly and straight forward to me. I think cashapp charges around 2% to buy btc if I remember correctly, but then again it all depends on the amount. I guess I am referring more toward the basic front-end.

  1. C @ Clash283: I donated and just had access.
  2. xenxra @ xenxra: yeah but isn't the password restricted to sponsors anyway? why not just make that section private like the other ones? or is "brand new members" inclusive of sponsored accounts that are newly registered?
  3. Gracie5 @ Gracie5: The password isn’t given automatically, at least by me. I don’t give it to brand new members.
  4. xenxra @ xenxra: dm admin for password. i still don't really understand the purpose of the password section if it's just given out freely to anyone who is a sponsor.
  5. N @ Nebulon Kitty: I've recently donated to become an opal member, and posted in the thread after the donation. How do I go about actually getting the password to the members area and my Opal status.
  6. CalFresh @ CalFresh: @Admin Thank you so much for your support. I am blown away by your generosity. 17. xenxra @ xenxra: @Steviejay88 if there's one major takeaway i've gained from all the indictments against onion farmers it's that you should never rely on server-side encryption for these kinds of things. please refer to hansa as a case example.
  18. A @ Aarfgh: @Steviejay88 absolutely my man, good question
  19. Steviejay88 @ Steviejay88: @Aarfgh II just want everyone to stay safe
