why isnt it standard practice that vendors use pgp?

Shhhh. That's enough out of you. Lol It would be a bitch to have to ask for a menu over n over again or a screen shot while using various vendors. Or God help us if the vendor has specials. It's about as safe as you'd expect...never fully but better than hitting the street

Maybe try using privnote if concerned with payment & addresses security. To teach thousands of people to use PGP encryption with public & private keys on here would cause vendors on here way too much grief.

im speaking for sensitive info payment/addresses
I agree to a point but at the point your being Monitored like that..your IP is aLready fucccct. Sorry for the weird caps n lowercases. Sometime I re read my posts and realize I sound like a mean tw@t. Please never take it this way.

just curious why they dont use pgp and the ones using just countermail is it safe? not just another hushmail problem.
You can hide your IP address by using a VPN, Proxy Browser, or TOR for anomonity. This way if your email isn't 100% secure atleast it's not logging your real IP everytime you check your email. The only problem is sometimes trying to fly too far under the radar like using TOR will attract unwanted attention from the law after SR. Lately LE in every country has been all over the deep dark web aka TOR/.onion sites, if your not familiar with TOR I'd just avoid it.

Some vendors do use privnote or encryption note to help themselves and they're customers  safe...

Bliss. ..

  2. The Doctor RC @ The Doctor RC: Yeah donated snd once I got emerald I was able to chat.
  3. C @ Clash283: I donated and just had access.
  4. xenxra @ xenxra: yeah but isn't the password restricted to sponsors anyway? why not just make that section private like the other ones? or is "brand new members" inclusive of sponsored accounts that are newly registered?
  5. Gracie5 @ Gracie5: The password isn’t given automatically, at least by me. I don’t give it to brand new members.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: dm admin for password. i still don't really understand the purpose of the password section if it's just given out freely to anyone who is a sponsor.
  7. N @ Nebulon Kitty: I've recently donated to become an opal member, and posted in the thread after the donation. How do I go about actually getting the password to the members area and my Opal status.
  8. CalFresh @ CalFresh: @Admin Thank you so much for your support. I am blown away by your generosity. 15. Steviejay88 @ Steviejay88: @otbotf I believe you need to get it from an admin
  16. O @ otbotf: how do i find the password to the locked pages?
  17. H @ hotdog45: @Mokachin0 thank you. Truly those words are not enough, but it's all I have at the moment. You are an amazing person.
  18. M @ Mokachin0: Search vet bills if your a member who needs help with vet care or basic staples for your pet, admins will verify I’m extending a real offer
  19. xenxra @ xenxra: @Steviejay88 if there's one major takeaway i've gained from all the indictments against onion farmers it's that you should never rely on server-side encryption for these kinds of things. please refer to hansa as a case example.
  20. A @ Aarfgh: @Steviejay88 absolutely my man, good question
