My engagement with DBG began here, and it was immediately evident that this is no ordinary resource. The depth of information, the professionalism of the vendors, and the remarkable efficiency with which questions and orders are handled all point to a community committed to excellence. These are not small conveniences—they are indispensable assets to anyone pursuing rigorous academic work.

For those encountering DBG for the first time: recognize the magnitude of what you have found. This is more than a website; it is a foundation upon which serious research can be built. The administrators and volunteers who sustain it do so with extraordinary effort, creating an infrastructure that allows scholars to focus on discovery rather than distraction.

Such work demands to be met with more than the most basic level of support. While an Opal membership may feel like participation, it does not reflect the true scale of what DBG provides. If your means allow, I urge you to advance your sponsorship to the highest tier. This is not charity—it is an investment in the collective pursuit of knowledge, an affirmation that you value the very structures that make your own research possible.

To contribute generously to DBG is to strengthen the ecosystem of scholarship itself. Few opportunities in academic life offer such direct and tangible reciprocity.

Beautiful words, very moving indeed. Perhaps I too shall further my contribution… in fact, I think my annual donation to my Alma Mater shall be repurposed / redirected in support of this Ecosystem of Scholarship.

Thank you for your inspiring call to action, @TheDarm. May your packs be swift and your reading fruitful.

  1. D @ drdrizzy13: Yeah it was definitely a hold. Can't blame the refs for calling it. But I've seen many sketchy calls in the past to help the spread or over/under lol.
  2. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Wonder how much money was impacted by that last touchdown and holding call back. The refs were flirting with the over/under payoffs… that flag either cost a lot people some money or won them a bunch. But I guess you can’t say it was a bad call, just a very impactful one.
  3. shoutback @ shoutback: Fucking A nfl season is over :( Those were by and far the best teams this season. That Elite D will just stifle mofos. And ya gotta give Darnold his flowers for taking care of the football. That was professional.
  4. M @ meepmoopmeep: Too bad that football season is over now
  5. M @ meepmoopmeep: Seahawks offense left more to be desired (esp during first half) but patriots offense was just abysmal. A win is a win though. Squawk squawk!
