What's your favorite beer? I prefer a nice dry cider. Since my hubby works for a craft beer company I've become a beer snob. I used to never ever drink beer, jager was my drink of choice. Straight, no chaser, but water. However, my palate has widened and I'm not a fan of dark beers like stouts, but I'll try pale ales and lighter beers. (Going along with the topic things that annoy me, I'm procrastinating again!!!!)

Overall, I love a good German Hefeweizen. I got to spend a week in Germany in August and that's literally all I drank. I think I had a glass of water at one point though...

My new, easy to find favorite stateside though is Not Your Father's Rootbeer. Out of all the trending "root beer" beers gaining popularity, it's by far the best. I always loved root beer as a kid, and this stuff tastes so legit you can make a root beer float with it, which I highly recommend trying!

@Scootover88 I just realized you responded to this, but that "not your father's root beer" is yummy! We tried another one made from a different company and it was super sweet and just not a good flavor. We haven't tried making a float, but I think that may be the plan this weekend!

I love a nice Blonde Leffe.
Ahhh Belgium's produce my favorite Ales.

I enjoy...

I grew up in Germany and absolutely loved any Hefe Weizen I could get my hands on.  It was the only style of beer that would quench my thirst after enjoying a nice spliff of tobacco and h&sh.   Since I have been stateside the last 25 years my beer tastes have varied.  Some people may frown upon this but I am a huge Stella Artois fan....yes I know its a corporate monolith that is brewing beer by the billions of gallons, but I think it tastes pretty damn good.  I also enjoy Heineken and Moosehead....they are all kind of in the same family, a little skunky but if you let them breath a bit, they taste great to me.

As far as craft beers go, I am really digging Allagash White..nice and dry but not overly fruity.

when i was younger i used to love carlsberg. i stopped drinking for a while as an effort to get healthy, And when i went back the thought of carlsberg made me wretch. when i do have an occasional swally its carling or harp. but i do love blue moon also.

I go threw fazes ..Even tho ive given the booze up mostly i went onto stouts ..Loved Guinness but after 15 pints of it the stuff coming out the other end was not nice ..

Lol it feels feels like a fresh bullet wound, and looks like a japanese flag.

So many beers and so little time.  I agree with aintnouse and enjoy Stella Ortois. Very tasty.

I'm with you on the Stella, @aintnouse. My favorite local craft is Sweetwater 420 pale ale. Refreshing.

  5. CalFresh @ CalFresh: Thanks everyone. My family and I are safe ATM. @mellowella thank you, but they cleaned me out. the shelves are empty but I'm hoping to call in some favors to restock ASAP. @xenxra I will reach out to set up a secure comms channel for us. Thanks again all. Yesterday was tough, but the support I've received from those I can share is with has been a Godsend.
  6. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Mad love to you and your family @CalFresh
  7. xenxra @ xenxra: @CalFresh if you are able to DM me (in a secure manner) the transactions associated with your btc theft, i can look into that part for you at least. i;m still 99% certain if the fbi didn't discard my leads they could have gotten some of my coins back and considering you had your coins stolen within the us, you have a much better chance of recovery than me. unless they went through mixers i could probably trace them myself.
  8. O @ Outsider9173: @CalFresh Haven't been here long but I want to wish you a fast recovery

  13. mellowella @ mellowella: I will always remember what you did for me the very first time I donated. I have been waiting to pay that kindness forward.
  14. mellowella @ mellowella: @CalFresh are you and your family safe? You’ve helped me in a pinch and were more than generous, and I’m sure you’ve helped others. How can we help you? Does it help at all if we completely buy out what’s left? Maybe that gives time and funds to restock and rebuild? I don’t want to break any rules here, but please let us know if we can do anything. All on your time of course.
  15. CalFresh @ CalFresh: thanks guys. I'm pulling together what I have left and leaning on the kindness of folks who support me to restock my shelves so that I can keep the lights on. Having my savings drained and my security vanish in an instant is paralyzing and the repercussions will only be realized in the coming days and weeks. for now I'm just trying to stay focused on the immediate priorities for ensuring this doesn't. cause cataclysmic failure to the life I've built for my children and I.
  16. H @ hotdog45: @CalFresh hey man if I can do anything, anything at all to help you get back on your feet let me know. Truly my heart goes out to you. I sent you an email also
  17. G @ gfunkster: @CalFresh im really sorry to hear that. But remember karma is real my man. They just fd their karma for a long time.
  18. Telp @ Telp: @CalFresh Thats so fucked man. Im glad you’re safe! And wishing you the best. What a bunch of scumbags.
