Best telling us that after you receive. You endanger not only yourself but the full shipment when tell us you have just ordered.

Try keeping the review until you receive or there is an issue. You can tell zone via email that you have sent funds.

 
I have a tale to tell.  Hopefully one can read between the lines.

My friend, the SWIM, has an exotic bird he calls His Jones.  His Jones has a peculariar appetite for things, some would consider crazy.

So my friend, the SWIM keeps an eye out for these items.  Back late January the SWIM came across this series of links here on DBG, actually in this thread, and reached out to this guy here for a menu.

Several emails later the SWIM and the gentlemen here struck a deal.  Late January the SWIM covered the expense and the items went said to be into transit.  This gentlemen provided a tracking number to ensure his word was valid.

Weeks went by without anything.  Then 3 weeks and four.  The Swim reached out and said, can you confirm the bird seed actually shipped.  I sent you a tracking number, and I have other shipping info show it was headed toward your prescribed destination.  

I asked what his policy was on reship as we were outside of normal delivery times.  He replied that IF I could provide the Love Letter from those folks on my end say "got cha", he would reship if I were to pay half of the original cost.  I thought that to be a bit much, but followed the link he provided and entered the tracking number provided.  This touted tracking number showed the birdie candy traveled several hundred miles and entered the Cu$t0ms facility in Belgr@de late January and that's where the trail ends.

So, now I send another email.  Explaining the items were snagged in his country and I would not receive the Love Letter, so I'd be out the total cost and Jones my birdie would go without.  It goes without response.

My next correspondence went unanswered, where I told him I should be paying nothing if he couldn't get the chit out of his own back yard.  I felt he should do a reship of the total order free and as a compromise at least reship half the original order.  I told him he needed to make this right.

I told him of how another Bird treat supplier from DBG, had a shipping issue and how he reshipped at his expense. That little piece of good will netted him far more in the long run than it cost in the short run.

Over the last 2 weeks I have sent 4 emails.  All I can see have been read, but no response back.  Not even a FO.

It just goes to show, sometimes you land in the Zone and sometimes the Zone lands on you.
I'm looking for a good receive for Crow.  I never like to eat it or even think of eating it.  Well sometimes it's served up anyway.

No sooner did the mail ran yesterday than I found a note, which said I had something to pick up. Low and behold it matched the TR#.  Suprised to say the least.

Today I made a run to the USPC and  there it was.  60 days it took to arrive, never had that happen before.  The Ku$0ls did not disappoint.

I sent Zone a personal apology and I'll issue one here as well.  Reputation is all we have here.  This wold be one on the + side for him.

I hope we can do a bit in the future.

 
Pleased to hear that skinny, big up to you for apologising also, but I can understand the frustration you were having.

 
Let's hope a few others begin to recieve also,I would love to see a few more members recieve.Of course it would instill a lot more trust on the thread.The prices are great but time to receive (not so much?).Hopefully things improve fom here on in??

We can read Zone's post of March 4th, promising to reply to all emails.  It hasn't happened for me, asking twice for the re-ship policy. The funds were picked up early 1/27, no contact until 2/1 ship (same as Ryan), and last contact of 2/20 for me saying mail can be slow.  Reading back I can see the next successful post was an order of 2/8, ship 2/9 and rec'd on 2/18 on West coast.  All I can assume is problems on home country soil for a period of time there, as one poster says all Serbs package similarly. Possible, but what has that got to do with communication?  D hasn't had problems.  TTM clients sure have, but different arena.  Glad to hear there are recipients and not jealous!  2earls, or anyone that has emailed, any replies?  Zone, can you please reply re: re-ship here or privately?

 
I placed my first order today,  just 100 @tivan.Hopefully it will go well.

its best  to let us know you placed your order until you received,that way ppl who monitor dont pay attention to special detail like you placing a order and your pack is leaving the next day for export, its best to post a few days after your order date...... j/s to minimize risk friend :)  

for piece of mind i did receive my Jan/Feb orders, no probs..... Zone has no control after the tn# shows it has been exchanged for u.s export, once the TN# says it has been sent for export for exchange to U.S , that its out of Zone's control, it means its stuck between export and customs, than to you... 

i also know that letters get stuck in sorting machines and sometimes can rip the envelope apart at U.S grounds, and if it rips and the post office  cannot put the letter back togather  without knowing whats inside your pack or the contents were exposed as-well than that could be one reason for a delay or loss pack, i talked to a former usps employee who told me sometimes when mail is being sorted to the different zipcodes for the carriers, mail gets stuck in the machine and sometimes requires a person to pull the stuck mail out of the machine, when the sort facility is processing allot of mail through the sort , for example Holiday season allot of mail goes through those machines and those holiday packs sometimes kills or makes our packs invisible if a worker is not paying attention to the machine sorting mail out .

I am speaking from regular letters that i had get stuck in the sort facility machine, where the post office would try to re tape it back together and attempt delivery, i have  an issue with ebay item , entered my facility on the 12th and still not delivered til i put a missing mail report, than all of a sudden it gets located today, i get a phone call saying they located my ebay item and its out for delivery and yet its still not here :/ and this is a EBAY ITEM , so yes even regular mail within the states get fked up

 Well I thought it was a dead issue but lo and behold I received my full order today quite surprised to say the least. He's a great vendor and the prices are awesome shipping time needs a little to be desired I thot that my shipment was gone and that was that I apologize to Zone for assuming the worst the only reason I did is because my first order was so quick I will you Zone again maybe I'm tempting fate but this is definitely restored my faith in zone after this long I had already counted as a loss I'm glad that that is not the case too bad it cannot be counted on more precisely either way today was a good day Thank You zone ?

Thank you bliss, that is what certainly a surprise today and a welcome one at that I will use it again but if there is such a long time in between that will be that again sorry for doubting you Zone from my point of view I just got ripped off have a good night and I will talk to you tomorrow again thank you Bliss if you were in this country I would take you out for dinner you seem like such a nice girl and everyone on here is so supportive and offers their advice I am very thankful for that Booyakasha Ryan

 
They replied to my email promptly a few days ago. Seems they're still around. At least I hope so. May mak a small future order to confirm.

 
Zone replied a day later saying he would P/U the mg and have TN for me but it's been 4 days and he hasn't been responding to emails.

Is this an issue?

Only if you let it be, it appears, after couple of people here who replied to me.  From one of your posts in Feb., did you ever get an email reply from her?  

 
Easier  said than done waiting for anti-anxiaty meds can make you anxious at the best of times!.

But waiting an eternity with no tracking# and very little communication sends me nutty!.

I'll stick with the tried and tested but a bit more expensive vendor that's 100%  with her timescale as you know how long you will wait and if anything they may arrive early!!.

Yes she was busy or sick for a few days, national holidays and such. I understand, and they did reply, sayin it would be shipped and have a TN ready for me the next day or two. It's been 5 and I have not heard anything back. I have faith and i know Zone is a member here so I'm just anxious...

 
I sent the orders on Friday but tracing numbers for these orders I e-mailed today because I was out of the town from Friday afternoon till now and I did not have computer there. 

Sorry for this, please. Your order is sent on Friday and today I emailed to you your tracing number.
