your right, it was correct address all the way around and zipcode...they just did I guess what you said, and sorted to the main town. there are 2 of the same streets in my area. I was lucky that it was semi-close to home anyways. and yes I was pretty sketchy the whole time thinking about everything that was going to happen possibly...it just makes you question just how secure all our email accounts are and the things we say and type online. whenever I send funds, its always to help my friend who does mission work down south. I wish we all could do what a member suggested by somehow pooling funds together, doing something bulk....somehow. or find a good stateside vendor who you could deal with and not worry at all. being able to just send a thank you card or birthday card with $ and BAMMM!, 2 days later you have a present in the mail /default_wink.png  Oh how we can dream, but seriously there has to be some good sources on this side of the border that would like to do well and undercut these sy vendors. although, I must say that J has been nothing but straight and deadon, everytime with me.                  

 
I had same thing happen, expect I caught it before it was dropped off to wrong house. TN online said it was delivered to my doorstep, which is was not, so I called up and turned out it was on wrong truck. Delivered to my house within the next two hours. That happened over a month ago and I pray it never happens again.

UPS usually just claims that they can't do anything about it, and the shipper has to initiate a "trace" on it.

How did you convince them to call the driver? Did you call the local hub?

What happens sometimes is the driver "delivers" the package (in the system only) before he actually does to make it look like it got there by the guaranteed time. Then he shows up a couple of hours later.

Anyone get a reply today yet? It's about 12:30 EST. I know Mondays can be slow sometimes.

edit - it's okay now, got response. But didn't get receiver info. Okay, fixed now. Looks like info is same from weeks ago.

Are you using IE? His website only works properly in Firefox and Chrome.

Also take into consideration that these guys only operate within a certain time-frame window, outside of which there is little chance of communication.

Be patient. You have posted this on several threads. I'm sorry if you are in a hurry but it takes time to form relationships with these guys. Above all do not use any email given to you by members including me. Just contact the vendor from the website Nd hope for the best.

Looks like all or some of the overnight del. were sent via 2nd-day del. instead. e-mail said they had a problem with UPS.

So another 24h + 8-12h for the late evening truck...

One time J sent me 99's tracking number. I was like WTF ? and so I posted it up and 99 was like hey WTF ? That is me...

He got his package later that morning...LOL

Anyone know if there will be a $35 credit or "extra" on next order to make up for the difference between shipping prices?

 
Just made my first order with J today, 2/5. Will update when it arrives. I will say he communicates very well and so far I have no problems with him. Also he said he would give me an extra sample to cover my MG fees, so I am very happy with J. Will keep everyone updated.

I can't tell what the process they use is from that message, but the only way I can make sense of it is...

To get overnight packages out they have to either go to a counter inside or get to it by some specific time, and for 2nd-day something easier is done like dropping it in a box outside. And apperently it was either late or there were too many people inside.

Is someone here familiar with the UPS process that varies by service type? There should be something online.

Something I don't get is at what time they package everything inside the UPS envelopes and print the labels (before or in store). You would think before, because they can just drop it off outside as above (and charge it to a UPS account once scanned - is that how it works?). But then we would still have overnight shipping out, but delayed one day. But it's all 2nd-day in the system right now.

Anyways... For those receiving the 2nd-day shipments later on in the day tomorrow due to 2nd-day non-am service, we'll have a chance to hear from those that ordered today for overnight a.m. delivery. Please post if you receive everything okay.
