Good lord, I'm just reading this and am, well...for lack of any better word...astounded!

I'm usually one that looks for the good in people.  Whomever is guilty of having committed such atrocious acts towards this vendor has defiled my faith in humanity.

I have had nothing but the utmost professional dealings with this vendor.  They took the time to personally come in on a Sunday afternoon to help DBG Members!!!

I'm pissed for Jewy.  Shame on whomever sent such juvenile and ridiculous emails.  I'd love to kick you in the teeth personally.

I'm far off from being a VIP member, I haven't ordered yet and was looking forward to receiving a new menu next week (actually, I was going to go ahead and place a small, initial order tomorrow - I will to show that some of us on DBG have integrity).  I'll continue my polite, professional communications with Kelly and hopefully establish myself as the loyal, honesty and respectful customer I would want to work with myself.

Shame on you whomever sent such ridiculous communications.  You obviously enjoy hiding behind the anonymity of emails since you haven't bothered to speak out here and apologize to those of us good-standing members you have harmed, not to mention a huge-hearted Mod who went out of his way to stick his neck out for a community that was hurting for vendors offering such products.

wow.....  sorry to hear this and thanks again for opportunity to bring this vendor to some of us..  Just can't  believe there are members out there that can't conduct themselves in a proper manner to a proven legit and professional vendor... 

 
I am just now reading all this and, like tri_gal, I am just disgusted.  I feel as if I've been slapped in the face.  Jewbacca and Heisenberg bring us this FABULOUS opportunity and...already people are conducting themselves in unbecoming ways?

This is a high-end vendor who provides a service...a highly desired service at that.  What genius contacts them using vulgarities, unprofessional, sexist language?  I believe, if you WANT something, you behave graciously if you are to achieve it.

I have received their menu, which, MSD it IS super classy, and after a few days asked if they were able to special order something.  That was today.  Who on earth would believe anyone would already have received an order besides J and H at this point?

And OH MY GOD hooter1, AMEN...Jewy put his name out there for us to his most reliable vendor?  Not me not in a million years unless they were family or, as you said, I knew them well.  How humiliating is that for J AND H?  J vouched for everyone here and a few select make us appear to be street-corner junkies.

Bravo!!!  FABULOUS opportunity ruined for all.

What has happened to our new vendor is so embarrassing! With regular orders, proper communication and time, the embarrassment can go away. I am emailing for the menu and I will certainly place a larger order, based on the items I have surmised are on the menu from this thread.

Jewy, from personal experience, the referral process can be a bit dangerous and unpredictable (especially in property management. Lol!) OR wholly rewarding and profitable. Thank you for trusting us with your vendor. I really get what a big deal that is.

I just want to thank Jewbacca and Heisenberg for trying. Pisses me off to no end that this has happened. I, like many others am not surprised to be honest, considering the way some people conduct themselves on here. but what the hell!? This vendor is professional as they come and people are are acting like idiots and even questioning if people are receiving. Our staff would put their names on the line like that if they knew the vendor was not top notch!

You sum it up perfectly. I only stumbled into the thread today, not having visited since just after Jewys announcement - oh my word, the words we use have such power, even a dumbass like that - unfortunately!

The simple fact that Midtown is maintaining a level of professionalism to the point of not revealing the identity of the offending "members" in accordance to privacy standards speaks volumes of the integrity of this vendor.  If you, the atrociously offending "members" of this community cannot see that, you are even more ignorant than you have already shown yourselves to be.

If you would like to continue to be cowardly and hide from those of us looking to establish a good working relationship with this vendor, do at least one thing correct.  Send a heartfelt apology note immediately to both Midtown and to Jewy and then stay the heck away from this vendor and this Board.  You aren't welcome in either place, IMHO.

Good morning, Tri.  So... please tell me how you really feel?  /default_tongue.png   Kidding aside 100% agree with you.  The offenders IMHO should be banned and they get off easy.  So silly how people cannot / will not follow the most simple requests / directives.  Loved your post BTW... Have a good one, I think those of us who have conducted ourselves properly with said vendor, we will be fine.  S-

MODERATOR UPDATE

After speaking with this vendor's owner last night, he has asked that I allow the thread to remain in the general email section through the weekend for the benefit of any remaining quality "non-VIP" members who have not yet requested a menu. However, please note that ALL new customers from DBG are being properly vetted by their security staff as a result of the issues I mentioned yesterday. Some very odd, modestly disturbing emails have been received from low and / or no post count "members" of DBG, and some other irregular issues have come to light on their end that had never been an issue prior to their introduction here.

In any event, this is NOT anything alarming by any means, but is the reason that some of you may be experiencing modest delays in receiving confirmation of requested orders. Don't worry, no one will be peeking in anyone's windows or running background checks, LOL, but there are certain commonly accepted vetting practices in the industry that they typically do not employ as a matter of routine course, but that they've chosen to implement in light of what's transpired since their introduction here. Kelly has assured me that she will be back in touch with anyone and everyone who has emailed her requesting an order today, and for anyone who has already initiated an order and made payment, those orders will be going out as promised, albeit with a minimal 24 - 48 hour hold due to these heightened security protocols. This is for the safety and protection of all of the valued, great members of DBG who have expressed an interest in joining Midtown's ranks, as well as for that of Midtown themselves. Everyone will receive a personalized email to this affect today, but Kelly and their owner asked that I share this information here on the board.

Finally, as indicated yesterday, Midtown will become a VIP only vendor as of Sunday night, although anyone who has already been "white listed" will remain able to conduct business with them. Thanks for your support of, and interest in, Midtown. They're truly unique, and have been great friends for many years. While I'm sorry that their DBG experiment didn't turn out quite like they had hoped (in terms of the general membership anyway), I'm happy to have offered those of you who are true professionals and great friends the opportunity to make their acquaintance.
