From what I understand about what I have read in the news, the strike has been ongoing, off and on since at least January. I don't think there is anything to get worried about as this is a highly rated vendor, although shipping will apparently take longer than usual. If your needs are more immediate it would probably be a good idea to have a backup plan.

Yep. I've just now started researching SOPA and this is definitely a much more serious problem than I thought. The entire mail system seems to be falling to pieces. They started firing off employees on 9-11 which directly correlates to what we see in this thread. And allegedly mail is starting to move again but certain centers are only dispatching 10%, others are dispatching 40% etc.

This was posted 7 hours ago. 

When a postal strike is literally putting people out of business, that's as bad as it gets. However, the good news I see is SO MANY people are fed up that things can only improve from here on out. SOPA' CEO stop negotiating and is replacing employees. A lot of centers are working hard to get mail moving again. But the inevitable backlash of a strike of this magnitude will cause serious delays. If I knew how bad things were before I ordered I would have used another place. And in fact, that's what I'm gonna do right now. I'm gonna get an order out from my "Plan B" cause the package that was mailed 4 days ago may not be here for 2 months for all I know.

On another board, three people with 9/12 dates had already checked in today, saying they didn't get it so I didn't hold out much hope. But there it was. Like manna from heaven. /default_smile.png

Edit: It was postmarked 9/15, btw.

Hopefully that means the rest of us should get ours this week. I have a sneaking suspicion that the orders that were "shipped out 9/12" actually went out on the 15th. Good news none the less! Thanks for the update, BWooster.

What makes you think that Irow? 

I believe TTM ships when they say they do.

I made an order to see what's up with this shipping situation.

It'll probably be mailed the same day as yours so we can compare shipping times.

7-8 days is also my usual with TTM (NW USA). I expect delays of course but we shall see!

I will let you all know when I receive so we can get an idea of how the mail situation is looking. 

Edit:  I also decided to buy the insurance for the first time just to be safe.

Ahh I see. Yeah you are probably right about that then.

I never really check the postmark, maybe I should start doing that so I can provide more accurate shipping times.

Gonna place an order tomorrow or next day after, not too worried about the situation because of the fact the mail strike has been going on for many months and we're (the majority) just now realizing that.  The IOP world is anything but predictable, so newbies would be wise to ponder that before you order.  Experience has taught me that it will come eventually, even if it takes a month or more it still beats what else is out there, IMO. 

Also, now that I've been able to compare the P@x 5's with the 10's I have to say they feel pretty much the same (good /default_smile.png ).  Y'all can have your roaches, I'll keep on keepin on, lol.

Well said sl!    Good to hear the pax 5's, to you, seem ok. That is part of what i am waiting on from 9/15.

Instincts tell me my package is still sitting at the PO in SA so I ordered from SL as a backup.

I'm down to 2 weeks left of valium and 5 weeks of xanax so 1 of these packages needs to arrive in 5 weeks otherwise I'm fucked.

I know this is a relative question but I'm on 1mg of xanax & 5mg of valium / day (for years now).

There's a 90% chance I'm going to run out of valium and I have a back up supply of soma I don't have a tolerance to. So if I replace the valium with soma will that hit the same area of the brain the benzos do?

edit: NEVERMIND. I just read that there is no cross tolerance so I need to cut my vals fast. And I may cut my xanax dose in half and start dosing twice a day just cause of the shorter half life.

ive never had a problem when i replaced my xanax with any other time of strong downer...i think you will be fine...odds are that you prolly dont even notice the valium...those xanax is where the punch is at...dont stress...most of it is mental anyway

There were times I've had to taper off xanax by taking only half the dose. In my experiences, I might have felt a little bit edgy....but that was about it. You should be fine /default_wink.png its standard to take half the dosage anyways if you are slowly tapering. C/t isn't fun either. Been there done that too...uhg. Try not to worry too much about it, which can make the anxiety worse. If you feel you need to talk to someone for support, feel free to pm me. But chances are you gonna be okay
