For 80s kids, what are some of the most memorable things about the 80s. It can be good or bad but I'd like to hear and chat about stuff.

I was going through a box and found all of my kung fu movies. Kung fu movies were big in the 70s and 80s and I especially as a kid needed my daily dose of those poorly dubbed movies. Wu Tang Clan, The Five Deadly Venoms etc. I watched so much of that stuff,  I even had favorite fighters....Carter Wong, Ti Lung, Angela Mao, Polly Shang Kwan etc

Ahhhhh............then the music espcially new wave and glam metal. They don't make music like that anymore.

If your talking movies fine, but don't forget - shoulder pads, headbands(Olivia NJ), RAP, PC's, shitty keyboard synth music, Michael Jackson,  AC/DC Van Halen, Def Lep, Motley Crue, Police, Bon Jovi, Madonna, U2, Ozzy, Dio Metallica........

You guys fill in the rest.

Oh yeah and ludes for all you who missed out. If I could have one thing before I die......

Wasn't there some urban legend about Hugh Heffner stocking up on all the ludes because they were getting rid of them? I hear they are still around in Africa. (((Mandrax)))

Ahhhh................Van Halen....Ain't Talkin Bout Love..............was just jamming off of that.

The Human League

21 Jump Street

Crazy Mullets

Come on guys....get in here....lol

Mods.....this picture has been floating around on the net for years. If it's not okay to post, please remove.

Ah just what I'm talking about honey. But sorry Ain't Talkin Bout Love is from Van Halen 1 -  1978. Nice try but you're forgiven for your song choice.

I was a teenager in the 80's and I must say, they were the best! I was more into alternative like depeche mode, the cure and oingo boingo but also loved glam rock. Poison, Bon Jovi, Warrant and White Lion were a few I was/still am very fond of!

Ah, loved the big hair on everyone back then!

Yes, MTV was so awesome in the beginning. I used to record all my favorite videos on a VHS tape and then my mom got ahold of it and recorded an opera over it. Yeah I pretty much thought my life was over. And I was wishing horrible horrible things on her. We had it rough w out dvr's back then. Lol.

Yeah that was the late 70s wasn't it..lol I tend to blend late 70s and early 90s into the 80s.

Remember waiting for your favorite song on the radio so you could record it and then you end up either missing it or they never played it. Kids today got it easy... Lol

Voltron anyone?

My best friend and I had these pants around 84 and I haven't been able to find them. They had fold down pockets at the waist and knee. Anyone remember them?

OMG.....I had a pair. Did they have a name. I can't remember but definitely had a pair. Now I'm gonna be on the hunt to see if I can find them. I also remember those cute little girlie baseball caps. All the chics were sporting them and I haven't seen em since.

85 or 86....one of those. I remember watching the explosion....very disturbing. And watching all of the astronauts smiling, waving, marching to board the Challenger, only to die minutes later....truly sad.

  1. M @ Mammasboi123: Also, keep in mind that if a thread topic doesn’t already exist for a particular mag after searching for it, for a particular msg you’ve got questions on, you can always open a new thread under the appropriate section to get member feedback. I only mention doing it this other way due to there being a rule against members/vendors advertising or soliciting mags via the Shout Box. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets removed at some point.
  2. M @ Mammasboi123: @Poppycock, I would encourage you or any other member looking for current options for various mags to first check if an existing thread has already been created on the topic by using the Search bar found on the upper right corner of the site. For example, here’s a recent thread that was posted just a couple months ago that shows up when I type in ‘5APB’ to the search bar: https://drugbuyersguide.info/threads/4-fma-and-6-apb.11276/#post-268359.
