Best for weight loss?

I just can’t get behind the glp antagonists… I’ve heard it’s killer if you don’t keep your diet clean. From the studies I’ve seen it can result in a lot of muscle loss (biggest issue with losing weight too quickly). I did try (trying to stand by rules here) a di-nitro phenolic oxidative uncoupler once. It was more to experience the heat than for weight loss. I slept under an open window in 9 degree F weather so yeah… the heat thing is real. I don’t recommend it to anyone really.

Odd to say here, but body composition changes are better done without supplementation. Slow and steady wins this race.
Triple agonists don’t seem to demonstrate any muscle loss with proper diet and training. DNP is the only thing that will actually burn fat without all the fundamentals in place but you are gambling with your life. Couldn’t pay me to touch that stuff.

Retatrutide plus strength training and adequate protein results in no muscle loss. I lost 22 pounds in a month and lost no muscle, confirmed by dexa. I did lose strength until I went back to maintenence calories. 18% bodyfat to 10%, and Retatrutide made it easy. Science rules.

I think the mindless use of the GLP-1s leading to severe malnutrition is what gets people that coveted melted candle bod rather than it just being the nature of the ᎠᎡuᏩᎦ themselves. ᎦtᎥms can also be an effective weight loss tool, if you maintain sound nutrition and training, but can also completely supplant caloric requirements and lead to muscle, hair and tooth loss if used with reckless abandon.

Fair enough. I started on the skinny boi end of the spectrum. Finally got to 220 by supplementing 2 family sized jars of peanut butter a week. Most of the negatives I’ve heard are from folks that have not changed their diet and don’t exercise. I assume there is something downstream of ghrellin that makes you feel off on a bad diet.

GLP1 work better than anything bc first and foremost it gets rid of food noise. You don’t even think about it. But you HAVE to eat and keep your protein and strength training up bc you can rapidly lose weight and then muscle and end up with loose skin before you can blink. Especially if you’re just trying to lose like 30 lbs. it’s like magic IF you keep up your end of the healthy habits. If you don’t you will lose the weight still but not in a “pretty way.” I can’t stress protein intake enough if you’re going that route. Never tried the stronger ones. I took a non-branded semiglutide (glp1) for 3 months and lost waaay more than my goal. Do I have diabetes or am I onese or even overweight? No. But I worked my ass off for years to get stubborn 20 lb off and I was getting depressed. Btw I did a real online doc and it was pretty $$$. I just wanted to say u know there are stronger ones out there now but glp1 usually does the trick for everyone I know who has been on it. But see now I’m in the gym to try to get my muscle back bc I got lazy and just let the med take the weight off me not listening to advice to keep up my weights and protein. But like I said, it just happened so fast!! This was a year ago. I really miss the lack of food noise though. I wish they made something that just took that out of my head lol.

P.S. I was fully aware I was irresponsible even taking that med and that I didn’t actually qualify for it. I’m not condoning it. Just sharing.

Be safe!
