I finally got a reply from A regarding my bunk addies. I have been trying to get this resolved since I opened my refrigerator box with much disappointment. 5 days later, and little to no communication he finally agreed to send new ones. I am glad he did, as most guys would say too bad (Juan has resent before. I think he thought I was bs'ing him. He wanted them back but wouls not give me the info after I pressed him for 5 days. We will see wont be here for 2 days. Upset but glad he is attempting to make right. Time will tell.

Have had a few recent orders with A, and wanted to provide some feedback.

Product availability continues to be an issue, but when he has the stock, his quality is as good as it gets.  His t/a times are also almost always as promised, with the lone exception being the same snafu that took up a bunch of space in this thread a few weekends ago.

However, I'm getting far beyond annoyed at mistakes on his part that are slowly adding up to cost me $. 

I was originally supposed to receive a credit b/c of the aforementioned shipping mistake.  The next issue came when I was shorted 10% of an order from last week.  At first he claimed it was a mistake on my part, but after repeatedly explaining the simple math mistake he made, he finally conceded that the mistake on his part and promised that it'd be made up to me the next time around. 

Well, "next time around" came a few days ago and another simple math error happens again and I'm shorted even more.  Because of lack of product availability, my order had to be split in two (this was my idea, so I knew I was paying an additional shipping charge).  However, I factored this all in and when the second half of the order showed up, I was SIGNIFICANTLY short....as in 45-55% short (there is a range b/c since I substituted product, it didn't work out to a round number.  I figured he'd even throw in a mountain climber at less than actual cost as a favor for my patience with the recent mistakes OR give me a credit towards my next order). 

I immediately emailed him and alerted him of the mistake.  Of course he immediately tried to tell me the mistake was on my end.  I don't usually take things personally, but given his recent history of mistakes, I thought he'd adopt a little more ingratiating tone and offer to look into it rather than being so blunt and calling my calculations into question.  Well, I looked back over every detail of the my recent orders and after double/triple/quadruple=checking my math, I emailed him and took him step by step through my calculations to show that I'm indeed in the right. 

Normally I'm really jovial with A even when he's made mistakes.  He's a nice enough guy and I don't really see a point in being a dick to anyone who means well.

However, after a series of mistakes and his repeated insistence that I was in the wrong (only to discover the errors were on his end), I had to adopt a less ingratiating tone.  I don't plan on ever flying into asshole mode and acting like a pouty bitch, but I had to be really firm with him on this one.  The point I kept coming back to in my email is that I'm simply a loyal customer who is looking out for my own interest and making sure that I get what I paid for.....every last bit of it. 

I'll update as the situation (hopefully) gets resolved.  I've got faith in A, but it's waning in huge amounts each time this crap happens.  I don't ask for perfection, but damn, just give me what I'm owed.

I think they were commenting on the p3ercs, not the Rocksies? I had no issues with the p3ercs I received (3/14 ish), but the information here is awesome and I was able to inspect mine with a better guide. 

This board is awesome. So is Alex in my book, but the situation down wherever is just indicative of the way things are. A Chinese company was busted for flooding the UK with fake meds, sold through Pakistani distributors in 2010, 2011. Awful, simply awful and the cause of more suffering than we face, I am sure. Stories of distilled water in vaccinations or battery acid in Chemo drugs - appalling. Sorry mods - rant is over........
I totally brain farted meant to comment on the perks. thanks for the polite correction, rdkdanny, while I prefer rocks over the perks but do both, I think I read the last five pages all at once and there were good info on both that week, hence the  typo.

Once again my favorite vendor continues to prove, in my opinion why I think he's the best. Ordered on April 8th then received the TN around 11 PM the same day. Received yesterday on the ninth however I was missing a couple things nothing major. I emailed him right away he didn't question it or give it a moments hesitation and had it in the mail that day, just got it about 20 minutes ago. I give this guy a 10 out of 10

 
I have been in contact with Alex and everything seems normal and I think his crew are just busy. Consistently the best communication and I would like to remind people, he does know about all the posts. I have never heard of a legitimate claim of loss going ignored. I would be very surprised if that started now?

@jacknapes: Awful story man, but I would just be patient. Orders are being received, processed and shipped and investigating any loss will take time. Thank you for your detailed reporting here, but I wrote Alex and this was his reply::

It is always best to talk to the vendor if any problems come up first.  Like that problem is reallllyyy shitty one to have but if it happened to me I would go for a compromise first in private.

A genuinely seems to care for his customers.  And lets be honest, this isn't exactly like ordering from amazon.  THINGS. WILL. HAPPEN.

Alex is great.  if/when something happens he is really quick to respond and willing to work with his customers.  Just... be patient and willing to compromise.

Read back and see if you can find any post that a member was outright scammed. Hasn't happened. But we can't see the future.

I wanted to talk to Mr C and 2 weeks ago after his PR fiasco, he has gone MIA. Hope he's OK. Anyone?

 
Alex made good on the bad addies I was sent. It took an EXTRA bit of patience on my part, due to not getting replies for 5ish days, but they arrived today. Replaced all with legit, excellent quality ones. It took a total of 6 days to get resolved, but I am glad he ffixed the issue.

I had a few emails today, definitely the person I am used to dealing with and he commented on the thread and appeared concerned as reputations are so fragile. I cannot comment further than it appeared to me to be genuine concern. I have never experienced such good customer service and I have to say, such friendly and prompt replies. Will order here exclusively until something changes and that really is up to us?

It may be b/c what I like is not a more popular item, but I've been lucky not to have to wait on inventory or anything, & have never rec'd bunks of my "usual" item.  He always seems upfront about issues that may affect shipping, etc.  & he seems like a sweet fellow.  I know there are no guarantees in this business, but Alex seems as close as we can get.  I'm not arguing that other folks may have had different experiences w. him, but all I can say from my own experience is that he is #1 in my book.

I got my letter. Not looking promising with the eightfittytrees. I broke one apart with my hands. No real gloss to them. Hard to say about things like imprint or if the "O" looks like a 0 or and O.

I won't be able to report back on quality til tomorrow, but will do so when I can.

Alex has come though one again.

Order placed on the 8th-never received a TN until the day of delivery and A was unusually quiet,but he came though.

Order delivered on the 10th even though shipper wrote slightly wrong address we were able to notice this early enough in the day to change it..Val A++++ customer service is probably as good as it get's, but I think some of the people That work for Alex are screwing up  addresses & orders a little too much lately..He is still the best vendor on here as far as I'm concerned but I still worry..

  4. B @ bigblueallda: Well it was a state id renewal. Before that there was a mixup and I had lost my birth certficate and social security number. After a couple of weeks and finally getting several documents in order I was able to get a state ID. It had been expired previously for a little too long and they wanted all kinds of proof. It was a mess. But nah I looked up what to look for an my state's ID to see if it is a Real Id or not and my card as the symbol it is supposed to have. I'll take a closer look though

I am not due till 2026 and I am sure they will make me go in since my pic would be 8 years old - they used to make you go in in my state for aging when I was younger, then went paper - then back to picture ( I think 9/11 to blame for that ) but relaxed it.

I never knew what a Real ID was and never bothered to ask - I think I somehow was under the impression that it was for either military / gov't workers who had to travel over seas. WRONG lol.
