You have to go thru verification, scan your id to withdraw your coin from the app which took a day or two for me.
I did do all of that completed and received a message back from the saying I had been verified and was good to go. It will only let me buy and sell or basically put my money back in my checking acct. but not withdraw or transfer btc to external wallet. It has happened to others the customer support said My response time was 10 minutes and I never have gotten a response from them at all and this was yesterday. People are saying the customer service either tells everyone they are working on getting the issue fixed or they just don’t answer them at all which is my case. This has been ongoing since least Feb.2019. Sucks cause I just had to put what was left of my money back in my bank because fluctuation costs me a few dollars for nothing basically. Just want others to be aware so they don’t lose money like I did.

Very strange. And you’re in the Us? My withdraw coin button is there and I’m able to withdraw. Very weird

Yup, it just happened to me, I wish I had read all this a long time ago, because now I am starting from scratch again after receiving word yesterday that Coinbase is closing my account because I "engaged in prohibitive use in violation of their rules."  I am so computer impaired, that I am having a hard time even figuring out just exactly what I downloaded on my iPad from Electrum.  I think maybe I need to do it on my desktop because I can't even open the zip file on my iPad.  Sigh, this is so damn frustrating.  My fault, I should have read all this, but I actually was able to find and work Coinbase and never even thought to check here for information.

I only read the first page of this thread as it has 35 Pages lol. I am currently Buying Bitcoin with A Credit Card and normally I just Buy enough to make a Purchase but I want to invest a small amount and see if the Bitcoin goes up some more so I can Donate more than just the 15-20USD Donations which is all I can afford for right now but I can only Buy Minimum Lowest amount of 60$ from coinmama.com.

I have looked at localbitcoins Website and I have no idea how it works or if it's even possible to get less than 60$ U.S. since if BItcoin goes down in Price that 60$ is gonna be a lot less and if it goes up in price I can Donate maybe 30USD or more hopefully. but ya any help with finding a way to Buy smaller amounts of Bitcoins would be helpful.

get amer1can expr3ss blu3bird prepay card 5$ add fiat at  waltmart free, get abra app link card add fiat to app from BB. 4% fee . use app to convert to fiat btc or other then withdrawl to external wallet.

or  ATMs for btc  8-10%

coinbas3 sucks

Massive Pain in my ass to do this even tho I have a account with pax.  Go to get some coin out of the atm, and they make me go through the entire Identity thing once again. So I have to wait another day or so,.

Y'all might want to try https://cryptodispensers.com , it's another way of buying on-line and you will see current market value as it happens before you buy. Looks simple & strait forward. If you don't have any BTC in your wallet now, you're missing the ride up! Cheers!

@Stas56 Yeah give it try. Also, if you Google "Simon Mall ( a property Group) near you", it should come up with malls in your area that have may atm's. Or search for Bitcoin machines in your town or city and it will show you where they are. The number of locations that have BTC ATM's now have greatly increased over the last 6 months.

I have had Coinbase from the beginning but I have a problem now with a second email they once re quired for a vault.  They have phone support but I haven't been able to get through for 3 days.   I am getting emails and the last I was told I had two accounts (which I don't) and they told me how to close my account and then they would tell me the next step.   I looked and only have one account which is working now but I don't trust them.  They have a history of closing accounts for no reason.

I'm looking for a new exchange.  I like Binance, cheap but you can't move dollars so that doesn't work.   It does have super low fees.   I was with Gemini so I could use that but it's almost too technical and support is bad.

Any ideas from long time btcusers?   Coinmama?  so many.  For those looking there shouldn't be a limit of what you buy.  I've bought $15 from coinbase.  You just get clobbered with fees.  Check out binance.  Downside is you can't move cash.   here's the link.   Please delete if not allowed I can't remember if I can post links.

I like coinbase but need to be prepared to buy.

@screamingmimi

Remember wherever you buy your coins always after buying you need to transfer your coins to your own private  free wallet per example ELECTRUM but there are also many others

From your own private wallet you can transfer the coins to whoever you like.

If you not follow this, one day Coinbase will close your account.

 Very Easy to use   https://paxful.com/

Good site to buy Bitcoins in Europe

https://bit4coin.net/

@Admin   I Just looked at both you listed and paxful seems like a good place to buy.   I'm with coinbase (see my post about 3 down) but there is a problem and like you say they tend to just delete you instead of working out so I'm looking for other options.  One thing I liked about Coinbase is you could also keep cash there.  I liked that if there was a big drop.  Binance does not allow that.  Does Paxful?   The bit4coin.net I think has pretty high fees.   I want something equal to coinbase.  Gemini takes too long and has bad support.   Thanks all.     I was just reading about paxful and I think I need an exchange that uses Fiat.  I have that on electrum but don't know about coinbase.  Seems lots of places let you buy but no place cash wallet.   which is what I want.

Coin atm's are far and few at my location,  and this is suprising since I don't live in the sticks and in a popular and populated area. So if the atm is down and i need coin i have to go the online route.  Or have to travel close to the city and find a working Atm. The fees are a pita.. fees non stop and i already got confused with the fees so it cost more to get more coin to cover the old and now new fees. Was nice to have a few hundred in coin left from mining after the bubble burst and seeing btc go from 6k to 13k . Not much but a nice little bump so i cashed out  'fees suck btw' and got some pc parts.

i started with coinbase and still use it its really simple once you get the hang of it an i never have problems with it

hello

i am setting up paxful - and using a wallet.   in paxful i can verify through them rather than at each trade.   does anyone have input here on how much we trust paxful to store such rich (pardon the pun) information?    looking for feedback beyond what i am searching for online.    thank you in advance.

You can't trust anything 100% really. If some tried to hack the site they may get info, depends how good you are. If you mean will paxful sell peoples info you can never really know. Worldwide companys have done that sort of thing before.

I was using cash app and recently tryed paxful I have a btc atm near me are they simple to use?
they are simple to use but know they charge HIGH fees.  they'll be pretty much the highest fees you will ever pay for coin. anywhere from 5-10%

Coinbase is convenient but always use a personal wallet such as electrum to transfer funds to before sending to a vendor. I was banned from coinbase for violating their terms of use. Basically implying my purchases supported illicit activities, even though that was false and very vague. There are endless exchange s to pick from. I personally think the best way to buy or sell btc is localbitcoins.c0m. you can find a seller that accepts whatever method of payment you want. You and the seller are protected by escrow. You even have the option of meeting people in your area to do in person cash transactions. Whatever works for you. I'm just seeing people talking about fees that are unacceptable. 5% is high. If you are paying 10% restart your research on btc. It sounds like a more complex system than it has to be. If you think it's too hard or your too old or technology overwhelms you than you probably don't need these products that bad. Im not trying to be harsh but people do alot crazier and difficult things to get right than watch a couple tutorials. Stick with it. The days of cc, wu, p@ypal ect are over. No one worth dealing with is going to stick with those methods. Get btc and get what you are looking for.

Much love,

Brokenkey

@Natty what do you mean by atm us so low like buying btc off an atm has low fines or what do u mean by low as i am trying to go buy btc directly from atm and send it directly to my electrum mobile app and from there send it to vendor or do u recomend me to send it to another wallet after the first transaction and then to vendor im trying to do this way so i wont have to use id verification or do you know of a bitcoin exchange where it dont ask bout id verifaction

@juan.cantu12  im pretty sure all xch@nges have to ver!fy your id including the atms which have an outrageous fee$ its big brother mandated if im not mistaken

Just a heads up to members. I use Electrum and CoinMama for my bitcoin needs, have for a long time, very happy with both. My most recent transaction with CoinMama got flagged and a hold was put on my account. This was a first, have used Coinmama with no issue in the past. It was easily resolved with a call to my CC/Bank to verify I had made the purchase, but just wanted to make others aware.
