Bitcoin Suppliers

I use multibitHD as my private wallet to pay vendors , and transfer bitcoins that I have purchased to that from the bitcoin exchange sites own wallet. I have heard of electrum @Jellopanda, and believe it to be a good quality bitcoin wallet.
Same here..  Use coinbase to buy and transfer to multibit. I was suprised how easy it was to use

one of the new vendors i am dealing with recommended i use bitcoin, so i signed up for coinbase.com, but it requires me to upload an ID

is it safe to provided ID for these bitcoin sites that sell bitcoins? why do i need to show my ID

this vendor is legit but ran into issues recieving payment, because the account kept getting locked so either WU or Bitcoin

It is gonna be the future @Def_Starr, I would get on it. Upload ID, you won't be using coinbase except to purchase the coins, you'll be using a private wallet to pay vendors etc.

I hope more places start accepting bitcoin. There aren't many that suit my needs that accept it.  Currency inflation or deflation don't affect what a cion is worth does it?

coinbase is having a difficult time verifying my ID, I keep uploading , tried 2 diff webcams, ARGHHHHH!@

why is it so difficult

maybe,

is there another bitcoin supplier that is easy to sign up for ? will any bitcoin supplier let me send to any other bitcoin receiver that uses a 3rd partner bitcoin processor?

Definitely look around, there are many exchanges @Def_Starr, and yes, you should be able to transfer to any 3rd party private wallet, once you have purchased them, they are yours!

I like this thread...talking about btc.  I just recently set up coinbase to buy and blockchain for my wallet.  Coinbase is notoriously slow.  Waiting till I can buy larger amounts stinks but I was looking at bitquick.co and it looks easy to buy coins to load into my blockchain wallet.  You pick from a list of banks where you can make cash deposits into account selling bitcoins.  You physically have to go to the bank and then snap a pic of receipt, upload it, email it to said whoever(not sure, can't recall offhand) and wait for maybe 3 hours and the bitcoins should arrive in your wallet.  I haven't done it yet cuz I am still wary about how it all works.

Circle sucks.  I used them until they pulled the btc trans.

Thanks for posting your experience @YoMan. You've given us a great insight there. Don't be afraid to take the plunge and pick up some coin(s), though I advocate purchasing, just before you are going use them anyway. Unless you have an interest in speculation of them.

this was a tough thing to wrap my head around at first.  It takes some searching and researching and asking around and thinking some more until you grasp how the BTC idea works.  If you set everything up right tho you can be totally anonymous.

I have good relationships with all sorts of vendors that do BTC and some that ONLY do it, so I have to learn and get comfortable and just take the plunge, like you said.  Also I am getting more familiar with this site(such as finding who to talk to).  There could be SOOO much info added here and if I ever have the time I will.  I know a good bit about everything talked about here

That's great @YoMan! Please do add if you get the chance, you could even start a new thread. As I keep saying, everyone should be getting proficient in this method of payment, it is the future!

I've spent the morning reading this and downloading apps and trying to understand, but after every step there's something new?  Like what's the differenbe between a vault and a wallet?  I understand now but in the middle of it my brain was melting.  And my bank turned down the request for coinbase

Is there a "bitcoin for dummies" which tells you step by step what to do and how to do it?  I understand sort of but what is the difference between coinbase and electrum and localbitcoins and how do they interact?  And what is the key and where do I get it?  and I just read about Xapo?

Everyone here has been great but I'm still confused.  I know this is the wave of the future (one place I use now is only bitcoin or bank transfer)

Off to look for a Bitcoin Primer.  I don't know if they can dumb it down enough for me.  Lol.

@4815162342 did you try these guys out? TY
Haven't tried myself, I just bookmarked the site if needed in the future.

They were suggested to me on another forum. Current BTC price on their site is $ 1042, but the market price is $ 895. Fees not included. This puts me off a bit, but I guess that's the price if you wanna pay with PP.

Yea I suppose that's why the Market value is so high due to the fact that pp is involved. That's quite a mark-up though

That's what I'm trying to grasp, setting it up right.  I used Coinbase but right now my credit union is calling in fraud alerts when I try to connect.   Then I found some localcoin site, not sure what to do with that and I see a tab I have open with electrum Bitcoin.

I understand the concept I just don't know the steps 1,2,3 etc spelled out like I'm a 3rd grader so that my wallet is secure (do I need a vault?) and then I can buy.

We need a seminar or something.  Learn as we go.   And then how do you pay?   Gah!!!

@PTFCI don't know if this is legit to post, if not mea culpa and delete but I found this video really helpful.  I'm doing it on my computer which seems to work better than on my phone.   I had loaded coinbase before I saw this (US only).  If there is something better (cheaper, more secure please let me know).  Tanks!

Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
