Christmas!

I remember seeing a famous shot of a tramp/hobo melting into a toilet! I used to have The Bride of Re-Animator, even the sleeve was a gore-fest.

I watched Hobo With a Shotgun on Christmas Day 2011. My Mum was out and it was boring on TV. Just an attempt an an old exploitation film, a bit like some of Tarantino's efforts.

Yeah, Jeff Goldbum is okay. Not into Jurassic Park though.

And I agree about animals. It's bad enough that we eat them than to have them slaughtered for our entertainment.

I was born in 80. Only started getting into things culturally at about 10. Da Vinci, Beatles, Kate Bush. It takes a while to build up a big list of interests, and to discover who you are. For me, it was my 30's.

The toilet scene! One of my favourites! Oh my god, I just love it, hehe. The Bride of Re-animator, I know it's gory, but because it's tongue in cheek I don't mind it so much. Oh yeah, there was a scene in Re-animator that just ruined it, really. It was the bit with the woman towards the end. I just hated it! Why put that in!? So if a film has *any* violence against women in it, it really pisses me off...it's just needless...

And Hobo with a Shotgun...it was just way too much...

I love animals. I love my rabbit, and I was vegan for several years, now sadly I've reverted back to vegetarianism...the restriction got too much... in fact it was only in the last two weeks I gave in, after nearly seven years of being vegan...but the way so many vegans are so preachy and...eugh, I felt ashamed to say I was vegan eventually...

And, yeah... I guess I'm about 10 years after you, but I always preferred older films.

Oh, one type of film we haven't talked about yet: Romero's early zombie films! Are you a fan? I think Day of the Dead or the early 90s remake of Night of the Living Dead directed by Tom Savini are my favourites. I was watching the original Dawn of the Dead when I was about...12...that's bad, maybe that's why I'm so...er...disturbed now...eep. But then they had to remake them...grr...why? Just...why? =/

Why unfortunately? I admire vegetarians/vegans, as long as they don't act like Morrissey! I love cats, just adore them, but won't have one due to my smoking.

Yeah, as much as I love weird 70's film's - Argento? It was not the greatest time for women in cinema, Fulchi being a particular culprit, and the 70's was renowned for increased feminism! The Female Eunuch being an obvious example.

I like Romero's film's, though the constant remakes and needless additions are tiresome. As a teenager, I watched the original "Day of the Dead" it was repulsive but I was transfixed, somehow.

  17. xenxra @ xenxra: also, to that effect, i'm a bit behind on the whole C/R situation, that being said - this is the first time in 16 months that the market pulled back and C did not DM me on telegram about it.
  18. xenxra @ xenxra: i want to apologize to the people on here for my calls about the market moving up three days before the crash. the crash we had was essentially a black swan (i.e. an accident) and as is the very nature of "accidents", they usually cannot be accounted for beforehand. a LOT of people got wiped out on that move but I do think we still push for new highs across the board sooner than later as long as Bitcoin stays above $105k.
