DHC & Diaz

The big problem with benzo addiction and subsequent withdrawal is that it can become protracted and there's no real way of telling if your body and mind will be susceptible to this.  I was on a massive dose of Loraz££pam, which had to be tapered onto Clonaz££pam and then Diaz££pam.  TBH, I was expecting Hell with the withdrawal and I'd terrified myself by reading the sort of thing that 'theview' was talking about whilst researching them too.  I still subscribe to one benzo support forum tho and there are peeps on there that are titrating ridiculously small amounts, maybe breaking down 5mg Yellows or even smaller.  Thing is, I can't tell them that they're not helping themselves by prolonging things because the mind is a powerful thing.  Having experienced having to go sometime without a med that I need and being conscious of the fact that I haven't had it, it always seems a hundred times worse than if I just forget a dose, so I don't want to upset anyone and have them freaking out and maybe thinking themselves into a horrid withdrawal..

It still sickens me tho that there are a million or more people in the UK still with some sort of Benzo addiction which has been caused through trigger happy prescribing and this is never discussed  ever.  Nada mentioned by the media, health services, shitty CRI type places.  Talk about a government hush-up.  It disgusts me the most when state influence means that people are largely kept in the dark about situations and dependencies like this.  Whenever I have told people that I have had a problem with benzodiz££pine dependence, they assume that Ive been buying them online and that this wouldn't have happened through a GP service, whatever! I used to drink on them too and I would go Spazz, I mean really nuts and no-one ever takes into account these tablets, it's all about the alcohol, the cops don't give a shit about why I've acted how I have.  Ive seen others go Banana's on benzo's and alcohol too, this is such an explosive mixture.

Sadly, even on this forum, Benzo's are massively underestimated and sometimes peeps really don't understand the potential consequences of swallowing down a load of little blue fellas like they're smarties.  I don't want to be mentioning it to peeps, especially on here tho because, understandably, it pisses them off.  Whilst the government and the NHS could potentially be sued for destroying so many lives tho, people won't be made aware of just how nasty these tablets can be.  Bring down the bastards!!

Yea ,well when i had started taking benzos i swapped drink for them ..as it sort of felt like getting drunk without the hangover ..Then when i did realize they were a big problem i had read lots of horror stories still id say do not do to much googling ,as everyone is different i got of Xanax using a bloody opiate, now that was never in the note book but it worked .Allot of people are hell bent on seizures but if im honest i think we get allot of comments from people that do not want to come of them so blaim everything else , yes there dangerous no getting away from it but the mind plays a big part .

Well in the UK it is now illegal to drive with a prescribed, yes prescribed, dose in your system. Went live today with no mention online etc. That is extremely worrying. People will be charged as a drug driver, lose their licence and possibly job. In son cases to make an example a 6 month jail sentence is handed out. All because we can't control our chemicals in our brain and need some help with it we are now committing an offence even if driving is not affected.

BULLSHIT

@Solid Snoop  I didn't know that at all and I wouldn't if you hadn't have mentioned it TBH.  That's bad, bad, bad and you're right.  We're being punished (for financial gain largely) because we all use a service.  So, you can no longer legally drive if you have a morphine patch or something like that for pain?  Can you get some sort of exemption??

Any opportunity to take a bite out of us!  This society stinks sometimes.  I know how much we all have to be grateful for, but the idea that with progress comes problems is often said but much less often true.  In the US, doesn't any medication appear on your Driver's Licence or have I confused that??  I was never educated about Benzo's at school and yeah, I should have educated myself, however, they've been so widely prescribed for years, yet before I started to take them, I knew nothing about them.  I even believed all that old shit about rohypnol, there's never been a case of 'Roofie Rape' in the UK.  How can a drug that's caused so many problems and is so widely used by all different kinds of people. not be known about  Because it makes money for someone deemed 'legal' because they have a trade name and make 'some' effort to pay tax.

Same with Leah Betts too, well, actually a polar situation.  The Poor girl died because she sat at home and drank far too much water, it's not one bit more necessary to drink water than normal in that case.  it does feel good to drink water tho.  MDMA didn't kill her at all.  I'm ballising on again now.  But why all the misinformation, ignorance and confusion all the time.

That law come in a while ago did it not ?

its true your not aloud to drive with medication even if prescribed however if your doc sees you fit to drive with meds its fine , for example its your doctors job to tell the dvla if she/he thinks your unfit to drive , i was at my doctors the other day as i need to do a medical for drink driving before getting my license back i explained about them asking about meds etc , she said it does not matter .She said if i took what you did id be unfit to drive but your used to what you take so 100% fit to drive ..You can still be charged with drug driving (if that is the cause) ..Silly i no but its your job to make sure your fit while driving threw drugs ..What country is this law ? as im Scotland and it come in a while back .

It's just came into effect in the rest of the UK @theview. I'm where you are also and known about it for a while.

Alright .Its not as serious as most might think .As long as your prescribed things you should be fine

And allot of pills/meds you would think would class as bad are not on the list , this is partly why i decided to cut right down on the benzos .But then i read up about it in depth.Id never drive if i felt i wasn't fit anyway as id never live with myself if i caused anything .

From Scotland but live down south now.

The new law is that if you have benzos in your system you are not legal to drive. Even if prescribed and your ability to drive is not impaired. Morphine and Methadone are also included. 8 benzos and 2 opiates. Good news is alpzzz aren't in the law just yet but they are reviewing substances and expect to update the list soon.

How can it be an offence if you're prescribed them, taking prescribed dose and your driving is not impaired. They are planning stop checks. If caught you will be treated as a drug driver. A common myth is clomazepam doesn't show up in drug tests. It does on this one. They take a swab.

Not saying your wrong but from what i read when the law come in was .

Yea its something that you can be charged with ..But it does not happen unless the police suspect its impaired your driving .My mates on Zomorpth and other strong meds and it does not affect him , it does say yes your only aloud such amount in your system but its not just like they stop you test you and go "oh he has benzodine" in his system take him down il see if i can find the thing i was reading

https://www.gov.uk/drug-driving-law

I agree with @theview that it doesn't necessarily take a law for peeps to do what we should, sometimes a law means that we do exactly what we shouldn't be doing.  But it's why we haven't been told that's suspicious.  Surely that would be something that should have a bit of a run up campaign and because we don't know, we'll only find out when we get done for it and it raises difficult questions about medication and medicine too and the role which drugs play in our lives.  It's all "shut up and take the pill".  But when no direct profit can be achieved, drugs are vilified.  Or, perhaps more speculatively, when no influence can be asserted or even gained through the use of a drug by 'the man'.  That's not too far off how I feel about things I suppose.

From all the reading i done it does not worry me one bit for a couple of reasons .

If you are dosed up on to much meds you should not be driving anyway as your reactions will be allot slower .And if you are worried about it get your doctor to explain it to you .It really is not anything to worry about Sunny old Scotland get all these things to test first for yous guys further afeild and it did not affect us so use will be ok lol

This is an English law that came in today. My doc told me yesterday then read it on newspaper websites. They will do spot checks, if you have one of these substances in your system your pretty much fucked, no matter if driving is impaired or not. On the daily mail, bbc, daily express etc websites. Greater Manchester police have already refused to enforce it.

Yea ..Its one of these laws (in my eyes) that will only be enforced if you start to be a utter cunt with the officers and there looking for anything .Id say its nothing to worry about , see the medical for HRO drink drivers well ive been caught twice in 10 years ..Not proud but this time before i get my licences ive to do a medical ..What was scary is the fact the letters/forums did not mention much about pills was only interested in drink , which yes is fair as it was for drink driving .

But i do think anyone on meds should go threw something to make sure there 100% able to drive .my mate on the morpth drives a little to fast and doesn't realize hes doing it with being full of morpth :/

@Solid SnoopTen Years ago I would have stuck up for the Beeb there and asked how you could possibly compare it (even as state television) with the two newsgroup papers that you've also mentioned (two terrible, life raping newspapers), but now the One Show exists and BBCThree would rather show 'youth interest' programmes than Family Guy), although, there's the irony because we're right back to newsgroup and fox vs the BBC again.

all papers and the bbc are full of propaganda fuckin fools .

There a local guy been missing here for 2 years and the lads father (my mate) got trolled by a guy claiming he had murdered his son etc etc ..The bbc went and done a documentary about trolls giving the actual toll airtime without telling the family .utter disgrace the way they work ..

Yeah, that was one of the programmes that I was talking about Dude, it was on BBC Three two or three nights ago.  Yeah, it wasn't exactly ground-breaking Documentarianism (should that be a word!).

Yea ..The guy in mention Stewart was smirking ..Blaming it on booze ..it was the fact the Beeb never contacted the family to tell them nor did they do any work to find out what was actually said to the family ..I read some of the messages he sent the dad and if it was my missing son id have had to go get the guy and do something , he was saying things like i shot 240k volts threw his head and fed him to pigs etc ..All very sick ,but the beeb gave the mutant air time all the same .

It was just more of a warning guys. I find it unfair that one of the most prescribed medicines in the uk can get you a ban even if your driving is a ok. They are doing it on serum levels which we all know differs from person to person. I'm also annoyed it wasn't announced as such. Just kinda came from nowhere. I know my driving is fine. It's actually worse off benzos and painkillers as I have awful road rage if I'm not chilled out and in pain.

Stay smart and safe guys!

Yea there is certain levels of drugs your aloud . But its silly amounts that work out like a tiny little bit of a 10mg pill .i agree if i woke up and had no pills id be a proper cunt of a driver .Even tho Scotland had it before yous there was not much coverage about it ,kind of sneeky .

I visit Scotland once a month as most of my mates are still there. It's funny how many police are at the beginning of the M74 north bound trying to catch out drink drivers who are at legal levels don't here. I've been stopped twice but don't drink so just an unconvinience for me. They do catch a lot of folk though.

  2. The Doctor RC @ The Doctor RC: So I had this idea of creating something called capsule kings so like instead. Instead of pr355ing bars I would use color coded capsules. A food processor would mix anything pretty much almost perfect so I would just need to find some form of p0wd3r that has no effect to add some weight to it. Does anybody have any thoughts on it?
