I became so good at playing Ms. Pacman that I could play for an hour on one quarter on a sit down machine.   Lived in a small town with only one bar and I was there playing every day.  This was before there were home or hand held games.  The bar owner hired an artist to paint a mural on the wall and me playing was in the mural.  Probably long since painted over, lol

But see I had an 8 track in my car an then they came out with that thing you could put a cassette in it and play it in your 8 track. Then I got a real cassette player and then damn!!!!,, I didn't have to hear a click during the song, "sharp dressed man" or that Frampton song???Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LMFAO. Me too! I had an eight track to cassette adaptor

Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of the bands already mentioned but what about the birth of Rap music!

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five

Run DMC

LL Cool J

Fat Boys

Afrika Bambata

Public Enemy

N.W.A.

2 Live Crew

THE BEASTIE BOYS!!!

The only thing I hated about the 80's was the anti-drug President. Just Say No........more like Just Say Mo.......re!

Class of 86'
I preferred 80s rap over the gangster stuff that came along in the 90s.

An endless stream of excellent action films like, commando, red heat, predator, the running man...

And the mother of all action films..... One of the only sequels to better the original.... Aliens!!

And Sigourney Weaver as 'Ripley'?? Oh my!!

Spandex. Lots of spandex. Just about every music video had spandex in it. And lets not forget about all the celebrity workout videos.

All the goofy sitcoms, Gillian's island, Brady bunch, Barney miller, WKRP in Cincinnati, on and on, Different Strokes. Nighttime shows, Magnum PI, BJ & the Bear, Fantasy Island and yes Dallas. The night time shows were hit & miss for me cuz I was usually um out.....somewhere. And yes Phrenicz there will never be another Aliens. Crazy movie!!! How about like JAWS, wasn't that 80's? That might had been later 70's. I remember seeing that with my family and so I'm thinkin that? Guess I could google it. All the Horror movies, Friday the 13th, Carrie, Nightmare on Elm street.

Your are right on when you said the seconds Aliens was one of the best sequels EVER!

I used to play for free for hours. One way was to tape a piece of thread to a quarter, then drop it in slowly until a credit came up and then pulling it back up again and again. I would have so many credits I would leave game because I couldn't play them all and the next person was lucky.  /default_biggrin.png There was a party store by me that had a Donkey Kong and he must have been wondering WTF because we would play for hours for days and I'm sure he was wondering why the coin box wasn't full. LOL

The other way to play free was knowing some of the cheats.

Before I figured out the thread and tape trick, I bet I spent thousands on them. Expensive addiction! LOL

Fila track tops, fred perry polo's, old football jerseys, (proper football i mean lol) still have many of them, but far too small for an adult. Still buy my fred perry polo's though, love them,
