District Spelling Bee Champ here...

Lost at Regionals...for "laid".

Talk about anticlimactic, and horrible for a 6th graders dating future.

I even attempted to salvage the loss by asking that they read it in another sentence.

Hated and have avoided usage of the word at all costs ever since.

I won the school spelling bee in 5th grade and made it to the County spelling bee.  Went out on my second word, "Colossal".  I can't stand that word to this day, and still google it before typing it (like I did just now) just to be sure.   /default_huh.png

  2. D @ drdso: It's scary now fr. I'm guessing we're gonna see a lot of exit scammers for former "reputable" veteran vendors. These tariffs/supply chain issues are causing them not to receive product due to seizure/denial. At a certain point they gotta get there money somewhere. Just be careful who you buy from y'all

  11. Alkazar @ Alkazar: Technically they were forced back to work the last time they went on strike in 2024, so this is the same strike for the same reasons in 2025.
  12. Alkazar @ Alkazar: I dont know how to direct reply to people on here. But the Canada Post strike will affect any mail coming from the US. It will be held at a facility until the striek is over. Mail that is being sent from CAD to the US will just not be picked up. It all has to be private delivery services now.
