I appreciate his time and effort, but this is not new ground being covered. There have been extensive discussions of this vendor's domain situation over the past week, including the "locked" status with their domain registrar.
Sorry, Jewy.  I was AWOL for a little while and a lot seems to have gone on, so I'm still catching up.

I've been reading a lot the past 2 days over the entire site but especially about this situation.

I saw where the site was no longer up & working, that the domain had been closed etc.

Saw about the emails sent to people and lot of other info

but I missed anywhere it said "Site Locked" (and how long they'd been operating)

Now I have already used up my daily PMs (however many that is) and still many PMs to answer (I got quite a few when I went on my little rant).  I'm still trying to answer some of those, few at a time.

Not criticizing!  But, could you tell me why there is a limit on PMs which prevents members from commumicating after a certain point?  I could see preventing "spam" as one reason but that involves large numbers usually with cc's to others.

And it would be reported quickly - spammers don't last.

I'm sure there's a very wise reason Admin has for this, I just have never seen any site limit members from communicating with each other this strictly.  Do you think Admin would ever reconsider the number of daily PMs allowed if enough members wanted that?

Wow - Locked

Wonder if that means they can't even access their own site.

That could be problematic and take longer when getting back on line

Hopefully they backup their files every night like I do my site.

If they do, they'll have their own copy to go to another server with and it won't take too long to reconstruct, get hooked up and running again.

Looks like they had a good four year run before the SHTF.

Thanks for digging up the info.  I appreciate it and I know others do, too.   /default_smile.png
Locked doesn't really mean anything. They could have locked it themselves. They still have ZERO DNS setup so they are definitely taking their time or have not done anything since they lost their DNS.

Hopefully, it's them taking their time to do everything right and as safe as can be, come up with good strategy to prevent same problem recurring......... they may be restructuring site format or appearance, functions....no one but TT really knows.

We can't assume this soon that they won't be back or lose heart.  Frustrating tho it may be, we must wait & see what happens.

I don't mind a little extra time waiting to have TT come back better and more secure

I don't think it is so much a limit on PM's as a space issue.  Do you delete your PM's?  You only have so much space allocated for them, just like your uploaded pictures etc.  If you have not deleted PM's, try deleting a bunch and you may see that you can send them.  This is a guess, not fact, just FYI.  Have a happy day!  S-

Thanks for suggestion - I cked and still have space left in PM bar and % - but it's something to keep an eye on.

When I try to PM now it says I've reached my daily limit.  /default_sad.png

That's what I'm trying to do, answer these PMs & deleted quite a few yesterday.  It says I still have space left in PM bar, but it's filling up rapidly.  I was gone few days and had PMs from then to answer - along with new ones I sent to friends & then asked mods couple questions - not an excessive amount.

On Twitter, they send you to Twitmo if you send too many tweets within a certain period of time - then all you can do is read.  I was tweeting a lot until, well until I came to DBG    LOL   But even I never tweeted enough to go to Twitmo.

That's why it seems a low threshold here before daily PM ability used up - has happened 2x before.  Has never happened on any of other sites where I've been a member.  Wish I knew how many we're allowed per day - I'd make sure to use them very wisely!  And not max out by 11 am in the day  LOL

/default_sad.png   I want to answer more PMs.........

LOL, but I'll get over it.  Guess I'll have to look for something productive to do.  Darn.

Sorry... thought it might work.  Have to say, I am glad I don't get as many PM's as you do.... LOL.

I once had a stupid question, why not TTM operates the website easy to Tor/Onion (Deep Web)?
It would be much easier and risk-free for operators of TTM ... /default_rolleyes.gif

I'll leave the merits of operating on the Tor network to more qualified members, but to categorize simply moving the site to the Tor network as making their enterprise "risk-free" is, quite frankly, ludicrous. Just ask the guy who recently had his e-wallet and Bitcoins confiscated by the DEA on SR, or the former SR vendor in New Zealand that is now doing an extended 10 year hitch in the LE fun house as a result of his "risk-free" SR enterprise, also hosted on the Tor network. My guess is they would disagree with this assessment.

Somebody out there must know how to do this ...sounds like a real challenge, but anything can be done.  It would be great as long as the buyer wouldn't have to pay in Bitcoins, ugh! SR and the Bitcoin thing didn't do anybody any long term favors IMO.

I have to LOL@myself with the Bitcoin thing.  I was so obsessed with it!  I had computers I was building and configuring to mine them all over the house.  My kids were about to put me in the funny farm.  More war on drugs and pretty soon war on Bitcoins too!  Sorry off topic....

agreed, if they want you bad enuff theyll get you regardless of how you operate. the trick is to cause more work than youre worth....

I know as a newbie (well, ex-lurker) my word holds very little weight, but I placed an order on the 17th. It was split into two parts, mailed 17th & 18th, and both arrived today - the 23rd. The items were in the same format as previous orders, and appear to be the same quality.

I'm in the UK, and I *just* switched ISPs - I wondered when I visited their site today whether I'd screwed up setting up DNS on the new router, but from the above it seems like it's a bigger problem. I haven't had the dodgy email either. Fingers crossed they're back on their feet ASAP; they're one of the best IOPs I've dealt with for their particular shopping list.

great news, mine was shipped prior so I can worry a little less now

So you're right, the entire Internet, including the Tor network is no longer what it once was. It is increasingly difficult to sell on the internet "illegal" things ...
The thing is not much better in Germany, before the doctors prescribed a everything you wanted and the health insurance paid the medication. With us, 99% of all doctors prescribe benzos no more, only in exceptional cases.
The only thing left is a still to forge prescriptions and pharmacies to run danger of being caught by the police.
I really hope the TTM back online soon. Although AMC is also great but very expensive ...

Sorry for my poor English language skills /default_sleep.png (I drank too much beer)

Nothing is risk free in this game, absolutely nothing.

Yep, what he said. I could write 2 pages worth of explanations that would state the same thing, but the bottom line is that enforcement agencies have budgets, enforcement costs money, and people get promotions based on the results they achieve with the budget they're given. So, as Gator said, the trick is to be more trouble from a cost-benefit perspective than you're worth.

Indeed. And no apologies are necessary for your English, I'm a rather big fan of Germans, particularly your automobiles! LOL
Jewbacca sticking up for the Germans, I love it! These are my people lol.
