Inderal

No but I take a beta blocker(Lopressor) for hypertension and my doc did mention that sometimes people who have to be in front of a crowd of people for whatever reason sometimes use BB's since one of the effects are a slightly lower heat rate. So yes I think it could help someone who is nervous about speaking in front of people. Or a few pops of Jack Daniels.

I have never used them for public speaking, but I have been taking propranol for about two years to take along side of my ADHD medicine to combat the adverse effects of the medicine. If I had to do public speaking than I think that it would really help. For me it takes away the physical symptoms of anxiety. It helps for my body to feel relaxed. The physiological symptoms of anxiety are still there; so you would still have to fight the thoughts. But for me- anxiety is a lot easier to deal with if I just have to correct my thinking versus feeling the symptoms of it also.

it does help!  also, pop one 30 min before going to the doc if you're nervous about asking for meds or what not...  I hate docs, so just walking in the door raises my bp and hr considerably... if you have probs getting the beta blocker, go to a new clinic, tell them you have anxiety and your new job requires speaking in front of groups.  tell them xanax and propranolol have helped in the past.  99% chance they will be relieved to write you a script for the beta-blocker as a first step /default_wink.png  my 60 count bottle has lasted over 2 years...  in 30minutes, by hr will go from 90'ish to 60'ish

I have taken propranolol for years.. It helps with anxiety issues and keeps my migraine headaches in check..

  1. moai @ moai: @MorphineOrfan how fucking stupid is this shit. We better see some new shit come out, I’m most upset about banning regular kratom because really? Millions of people have got off hard opioids with it. They must want everyone on methadone instead.

  4. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: If bans were done to logic so much of what is illegal now would end up prescription only and I think the powers that be react faster than they think... if they think at all

  6. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: @RiftChems well sr-17018 is an orphine analogue after all, and they are banning all orphines so that makes sense. Orphines are spiking the OD death rates majorly these past few months.
