For those that are serious about treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy actually works very well and over time is much better than taking sedatives for the rest of your life.

If one chooses to take benzos for long periods of time, you might do some research on the correlation between Alzheimer’s, dementia and very long benzodiazepine use.
