I mean, I appreciate the acknowledgment. But replying to tell me you’ll reply when you have more details, then not replying again kinda makes me concerned and leaves me in the same position

Well I never did hear back but my mag landed today so.. thank you very much and nevermind the details lol. Opsec is incredible best I’ve seen. Quality is incredible. Communication could’ve been a little better but it is what it is, the necessities were communicated. It really is just a matter of the post sucks and extra patience is required, unfortunately, for those of us with required reading assignments. Anyway, respect Jax, solid story.

The ski catalog arrived as promised and within expected turnaround time. Highly discrete, opsec on point. Pages are clean and product is quality.

Went with dry fish pages instead of the aqueous containers. Highly competitive pricing for what you get!

Hrm... This vendor has a magazine I've wanted to read called the Giraffes Hugging Bananas and I heard it was funny and a good time. Never read this magazine. Wonder if its any good? Guess I can check out the latest edition...
 
Great quality great ospec solid communication. Half my order was missing for a very respectable reason and a slight hiccup being my fault. Had another book of a similar genre otw anyway so asked if I could just take it off my next subscription and he happily agreed. Even when things don’t go 100% Jax will make it as easy as possible for you. But they will probly go 100%
 
Jax pulled through for my subscription as a first time customer. Threw a few extra in for me too. Took a shot in the dark dealing with Jax but thanks to all YOUR reviews I took the chance and he not only came through but checked in as well and communication was on point. I even did a “F” test and everything came back clean these were the blue magazine copies written in the year B.C. 707. I can’t thank him enough. 10/10 coms/opsec. Quality will be updated later this evening (probably morning lol) I haven’t had the chance to read yet. For any first time buyers I’d highly recommended Jax and FFS please don’t go anywhere bro, I need a new subscription service 😂

Dude I really concern myself with this with every glowing review I write about Jax … not that it’s undeserved or I don’t want him to flourish I just know given the track records of others who’ve been such great magazine publishers that it ups the ante. Fml. Why can’t we just have nice things ? Why can’t we all win ? If it’s not the alphabet teams it’s the scammers and the other assholes who ruin shit. I look forward to the day where Jax just goes private where he accepts current customers lets us discuss openly but stops taking on new ones …. A fucking selfish pipe dream I know … but god damn I can’t think of a safer way. In the meantime I’m just enjoying what we have currently and don’t take anything for granted. I know it’s a ABSOLUTE blessing to have Jax around.
 
Just decided to grab another subscription for what I know to be a great read. Sorry about the multiple emails Jax. I got confused and sent more than one, rather than consolidating all the details like I know what I’m doing.

Update: quality seems to be great as I enjoyed a long nights sleep after reading my novel.

I hate to put a vendor on blast, but i would NOT order Jax’s ĞeeHBee - at least not at this current moment…

I ordered this mag within the past few weeks, and I was sent 1,4-BĎǑ instead. I knew immediately it was BĎǑ because it came frozen in the bottle (outside temp was under 68F, so below the freezing temp of BĎǑ. G doesn’t freeze until -4F).

When I emailed Jax about being sent BĎǑ, he let me know that they were out of G stock, so they’d sent BĎǑ instead. He also said he’d send me the G when it was in stock next week.

This would be OK normally if I was made aware of the change. However I was given no warning that the product I wanted was out of stock, nor that it was being replaced with a much cheaper and more potent product, BĎǑ. I had to be the one to call out the mag mixup for any acknowledgment to be taken. Not only that but it took 3+ weeks for the order to arrive.. it’s been an all around not very good experience, unfortunately..

As of now I’ve got $100s of $$ of mags I don’t have use for. I very much dislike BĎǑ and find it gives me terrible heartburn, and the line between a good experience and complete KO is razor thin..

To Jax’s credit he did admit to the mistake. He also did say he would be sending the correct mag ASAP when it was restocked next week. So I will come back here and add to my review when it arrives.

I’ve had very good experiences with Jax in the past, and his comms are always solid, so it made me very disappointed to have this most recent experience. Again, I hope to have better news to follow up with when the restocked mags are resent, but as of now I would not risk buying this particular mag for fear of getting a knockoff version.

I’m confident it will get corrected, but I too asked for the GeeAchBee mag and got frozen BeeDeeOwe instead…I have a TON of years with experience reading these particular mags and know with all certainty I have frozen solid BeeDeeOwe and not GeeAchBee …definitely agree with @Mammasboi123 it’s important to keep other members informed if considering this read from this vendor at this time…will update once things get resolved.

I sent him an email after I made my post and asked him a few questions about the book 'Giraffes Hugging Bananas' to get some clarification and he mentioned that the book was sold out. He recommended reading the book 'Bad Decisions Only' and I have not replied since that isn't what I want to read.

However, he at least told me about it. I am not sure if he would have, though, had I not asked some specific questions. I mean, I would ASSUME a vendor would, but after reading the above comments...

This kind of has me in doubts about a vendor who would ship $100's of dollars in literature to a client that isn't even the correct books. I mean, yea it is nice for a vendor to "correct" and reship the actual magazine books that were originally agreed upon. But that's really sketchy to even have to have that situation take place. And would they have done anything unless they were emailed and called out?

Will you both update on here to let us know if he resends the correct books you all wanted to read? I am going to hold off on ordering until I hear a happy ending.

I’m sorry this happened to you as well, and I’m beyond happy to hear you were able to quickly catch the mistake before reading the mag, which could’ve ended up with you waking up 2hrs later in a pool of your own vomit, if not worse…

The most concerning and frustrating part to me is that there was a clear lapse in communication between the manufacturer/distributor, the customer service rep or whoever is in charge of taking orders and fulfilling them from Jax’s team, and then finally us, the end customer.

The second that someone on Jax’s team learned about Ğ being OOS, the customer should’ve been notified and given clear options to either:

A) offer a replacement mag in the form
of BĎŐ (before shipping it out)

B) offer a full refund so the customer could shop elsewhere in case they needed the mag ASAP.

C) offer to ship out the Ğ when it is restocked (it would’ve been perfectly good customer service to also send out BĎǑ at this point as well to hold the customer over, so long as the customer knew that that’s what was coming first before the Ğ).

Again, not trying to beat a dead horse here, but I think lessons like this can be turned into positive changes so long as people don’t let egos get in the way. Which, to Jax’s credit, he has not once seemed angry or short with me when I brought this to his attention. Comms have remained very professional through the entire time. I’ve also been in contact with him today, and he let me know he’d be getting my reship sent out ASAP.

For sure, I’ll update the thread when/if the correct books arrive (Jax has given me no doubts as of now that they wouldn’t arrive). Hopefully I’ll have an update to share with you in the next few days.

Sounds good. And I saw the vendor replied above as well. Yea I get a little shaken when something like that is sent out and is a different item than what is ordered... Even if by accident or whatever. But the resolution has a huge impact on the overall reputation.

I'll hold off just to see how things go. I mean, any sane person who just read this as a new reader would do. I've never ordered. I plan to order. Just going to wait first and see... I'm sure all people who read this would understand that logic.
 
I wanted to make this post to update the community about this vendor. I ordered 10 days ago and when pack had still not showed up and was not even showing any pending deliveries in my app I reached out. He said that mags I ordered had “extra” material in them and so he was waiting on a new batch. This is 10 days after I ordered and never reached out to tell me this. In my mind source took money for a product he didn’t have and couldn’t deliver in advertised time frame so I should have been offered a refund but at the very least been informed without me having to ask and after checking the mail for almost 2 weeks. The source offered no extras no discount not even an apology. How a source handles mistakes is what separates the good from the bad and this source couldn’t have done much worse. They claim the pack will arrive in 3 days but I don’t even have a “label created” status yet. My delivery app has never let me down in this regard but I know some people have alot of problems out of theirs but mine has always been accurate.

Bottom line for those who didn’t want to read the whole post is the source took money for a mag subscription they didn’t have and couldn’t deliver in advertised timeframe. I was not informed until I inquired about it 10 days after payment received and still no mags. Wasnt offered any kind of extras for mistake or even an apology. How a source handles mistakes says everything you Need to know about them. This is why we do small test orders

Edit: this is not the same mag other members are having trouble with this is a completely different subscription

This is a game and when you sign up to play you need to be aware of the rules and consequences that come with it. Things don’t always go perfectly and that’s frustrating but that’s part of the game. Have some patience and be nice. Treat the community with respect. It’s also a two way street. Catalog companies have lost items and money and so have I. We’ve all been scammed. Never from Jax tho. Jax is the truth. Jax is like your brother that when you need a favor no questions asked, he’s got you. Done.

My experience with Jax has been phenomenal. His communication skills are outstanding and his response time is quick. He’s reached out to me several times just to check in on me and see how I’m doing or If there’s anything he can do for me. I’ve placed a several orders and everything is always on point.
This is how far he went for me last time.
My comics got lost in transit. He quickly got back to me to inform me what happened and that he will be sending my comics back out free of charge and shipping. Again, for whatever reason those comic editions didn’t make it. It’s that time of year. Guess what he did? He sent out a third set of books and comics yet he only charged me for the first order. Incredible customer service. If that doesn’t show Jax character then I don’t know what does. He was honest, and in communication the entire time, cool as a cucumber. Sometimes it just takes a little patience but look, this person went to hell and back for me during busy season and while there were and still are extra problems with You 5 Pea S. Jax has always took care of me and if this doesn’t prove what kind of person Jax is then I don’t know what does. Great prices and great quality. I’ve gracious, appreciative and very thankful for how Jax handled this situation. That’s how a professional does it. I’m very happy and I highly recommend.

For what it’s worth, this also happened with my subscription that contained the wrong mag. Roughly 10-13 days after ordering I reached out to inquire about seeing no updates on ID or in person. Jax said it must’ve got mixed up with someone else’s and would be sent out ASAP that very next day. It took another 8-10 days to get to me, which was the BDO instead of G order.
