Jewy's Angels - A Place For Classy Dames

Thanks for all the beauty secrets and makeup hints, misery, I tried using kosher salt to exfoliate and damn, my skin is so smooth, loved the Lorac Pro mascara mentioned? Is there a confessional here? Went to sephora the other day and they had these 'miracle line removers that were over $100 to $200.00. I don't shoplift but I did take one of their half used sample bottles, so since it was a sample for everyone to use is this stealing? No need for remarks, just reading what I'm writing I know the answer, a thousand Hail Marys!

For future reference, next time you go to Sephora and see something you'd like to sample, just ask them. They are very accommodating with samples. No need to get all sticky fingers in there.

I LOVE Sephora! Does anyone else use any philosophy products? I am so mad at the original business for selling out to coty, yuck!

Also, does anyone know a great trick for unpuffing an undereye circle? Yes "an" undereye circle. Just one...lolo! Sometimes, if my allergies are acting up, it looks like i have a black eye! I am still trying to get my pic resized...........lol! Then you can see the undereye bag! Lol! Just nobody google image me and find my facebook page! It is private! Lol! DGSB READ YOUR PM!

Did i forget to mention....lol!

Beranda this is the first chance i have had to read this entire thread from the beginning. I hope your heart is okay.. I just wanted to say that a friendship is over...if you feel pain from it. No, matter the reason. One of the biggest regrets in my life is losing a friend that i had for twenty something years...knew her since fourth grade. We stayed friends all through high school and college. We even went to the same college, St. Norberts in WI. Anyway, life had taken me down a "rougher" road for awhile. She had no place being around what i was around. We were good girls prior. I simply stopped talking to her for 2 years. Then i called her......she said she no longer wanted to be friends. Looking back, that was one of the DUMBEST things i have ever done. I feel SO bad to this day! What a piece of shit i was! Anyway, my point was kind of that sometimes people leave friendships for reasons that don't have anything to do with the friendship or the other person. Much love everbuddy!

I just got a pedicure, thankfully, usually my nails are a mess! Cannot paint my own nails I need all the makeup hints I can get, love this section!

Hey Cat,
It is so true what you say.
Keeping a friendship on life support so you don't have to witness or participate in its certain death...that's just insanity.

And thanks maybe, I felt so bad I went back there today without saying anything and put it back! How can I be a good example to my son when I do crap like that! Thank you for advice!

You did? Awwwwww! Do you feel better? Karma is a bitch, i think. Good 4 u and how sweet are YOU? Yay!

God I love confession. You can basically do whatever you want, and then have it removed from your "permanent record"! Lol!

I have to if I don't use dry shampoo. I HATE washing/drying/styling my hair every flipping day. Second day hair is a God send for me. Ulta had some travel size dry shampoo sprays that you could give a whirl and see. IMHO it's totally worth it.

I hate it too! Maybe i should try some and see. I am such a fitful sleeper these days, my hair is REALLY CREEPY when i wake up

I'm with you, I barely have any hair, I used to have long blonde hair but through chemo I now have really short hair, luckily people say it looks cute or maybe they are just being nice! Anyways, my hair gets greasy if I don't wash it everyday, and I don't want to lose anymore by shampooing everyday, I heard its rough on your hair, so I'm going to try the dry shampoo and will let you know how it works, thanks for info, never even thought about that choice! And Catinthehat, I love confessionals! Loved your comment! I do feel a 100% better, it made me feel so guilty I couldn't take it anymore. How do I tell my son it's bad to steal and I do it! It made me feel like a complete moron! No more sticky fingers! After all I've been through the last few years, I want to teach him to be a good decent person, he has to follow by example. I'm not the best mom, I went through addiction and I know I hurt him, but today I'm trying to be the best mom I can. One more thing, I learned you cannot buy love! I let him have my amazon password, he stays in the basement, he has a nicer setup than I do! He bought a 60" smart tv, a $1400 laptop an iPad he doesn't even use, and I cannot even count the number of Xbox games and points he bought! I have changed my password, that will never happen again! I grounded him for stealing from me for not asking permission then I do that, I felt like a total hypocrite! Sorry about long post, had to vent to someone! Thanks!

Awwwww! What is important is that you are the best mom you can be. And you sound like a great one!

I bet your hair does look cute, us short haired gals are VERY cute. It is what we do! I have lots of hair (and i am grateful every day) and it is really fine so the way it is when i wake up is OMFG! It is either smashed, greasy and against my head OR standing straight up and knotted in some weird way. No matter what I do to it...it stays like that all day!

So guys, for Christmas, i bought myself this little "pixi" brand make up kit (from target). It is called "fake awake" kit. I am a huge minimalist when it comes to make up....this kit is DA BOMBDIGGETY. It has concealer, lip gloss, lip and cheek stain(to die for, so natural), highlighter (works great on eyes) lip color and powder and powder blush. I freakin love this thing! Every color in there is super natural/nude/pink. Anyhoo, just thought i would share. I have used this thing everyday since i got it.

Ok I'm new to this nutty thread ...... 4 things. 1. Page 1 or 2 - I dig the Jewy suggested outfit. With all that fur no more waxing for Aunty!! Yee Haw! 2. That Carlton dance is fucking stupid. Stop it. 3. Yes Berada ..... The great fade away always works with men and women. Just never text back. She'll think you're just busy then hopefully you'll avoid here. 4. Stop washing your hair. No dry shampoo and no wet. Eventually your body will reset and you won't feel greasy. My hair is pretty decent if I do say so myself (it's really short so no hiding in a bun or braid) and I don't shampooed in I don't know how long- my hair stylist doesn't even wash it. Only water.

Ok so I think that sums it up. APP will be back later with more sage advice/comments

I have to go to target and get that kit ASAP I'm so lazy I hate painting my face, I like the natural look with using concealers gloss a little shimmer etc... You have got me on an errand! The kosher salt I have used two nights ago and have been using since, no more expensive exfoliants. Have I ever told you guys and gals I LOVE this thread.

I have to share cute story: so I am basically stuck in bed today, not having a great weekend, so hubby took baby to see my mother and sister.  Bugaboo was running around her formal living room and saw my high school grad picture in frame and said "Mama"!  I was shocked b/c it is 24 years ago and he recognized me... I thought I looked soo much different but I get not.

That's so cute, how olds your baby? I think you said 18 months but can't remember, children are a blessing, totally transformed my life, wait till they get older though, they will push your patience, my 16 year thinks he knows everything, can't wait till he goes to college and learns the truth!

Miss Miz,

Now that's a compliment any mamma would be tickled to receive. Even when we are feeling tired and wiped out, you can't ignore the honesty you'll get from a wee one.

Sounds like the last few decades have been kind to you, keep up the good work.

Hope you feel better soon!

  1. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  6. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
