Ketamine Vs Everything Else

I've been reading about studies on ketamine.

Ketamine is fairly new to the medicine world as far as serious research goes, for human use.

But there has been many benefits found to come from Ketamine.

K or Ket for short has been "demonized" by the same type of crowd,

That used to call marijuana the "devils herb" or simply "dope" in a very offensive manner.

And completely ignoring the beneficial facts of this wonder drug.

The "happy" pills prescribed by the educated fools,

Often have the opposite effect, specially when they run out.

Even giving me thoughts of suicide.

I suffer from depression, post trauma and anxiety attacks. Often being overly worried about

people's safety. Paranoia would have my heart pounding in a violent kinda way.

I stopped taking those "happy" pills on a daily basis for a couple of years now...

After discovering Ketamine. I think I perceive things much like a Buddhist monk would LoL.

I don't take it as often as I would the "meds", and it really seems to help with my depression and anxiety.

There's been many studies on ketamine to be used as a moderate or severe pain reliever also...

Best thing about it is, no physical addiction at all. Unlike the oxy hydro or morphine pills,

Which can turn u into a synthetic dope fiend.

Im Not saying "YOU" should exchanged ur meds for K...

But K def' helped me slow down taking my "happy" or "chill" pills, A lot!!!

Somedays I even forget all about them. Thank The God for that.

I just wish that the search studies on ketamine dont stop until its as available as it should be.

It has been listed in the world's essential list of medicines.

So I guess that's a good start. Right?!?

Anxiety, depression, and pain relief all in One.

I think that's beautiful.

Blessings.

I recently heard a similar story on NPR about studies that basically support what you are saying. They gave ketamine to depressed people and within 1-2 days the symptoms were basically gone. I just think this is amazing. My mother suffers from depression and i watch watching her go through all kinds of BS with her meds just to not give up. To think that ketamine could make that go away but is illegal pisses me off.

@boo - agreed. Big Pharm controls what is legal and what is not. Their pockets are so deep...you would think a persons health would drive the legality of whats available.

I've read a few studies on Ketamine's antidepressant properties in the past and was very enthusiastic about it's possible status as the next miracle drug for depression. My only real problem with it is the dangers that dissociative drugs have in regards to neurotoxicity and brain damage. This isn't to say that there aren't unknown dangers in taking antidepressants which I believe can restructure the brain to the extent that this restructuring could also be termed brain damage. Given my personal sensitivity to dissociatives I would never take Ketamine under any circumstances if only to protect myself from further harm. There would be a lot of money to be made in marketing a Ketamine based antidepressant. Maybe not ketamine itself, but rather an analog of the drug, so expect to see several more studies on this controversial drug in the future if you are indeed looking out for them. There is still a great interest within the scientific community regarding Olney's lesions, which have not yet been proven or disproven to exist because of neurotoxicity. But to go all out to say that this drug is being withheld from the public because of beurocrats and big pharmaceutical companies just indicates a lack of research and an abundance of personal belief. This drug is being studied. It's pros and cons are being weighed, and in the end the FDA will have a slew of paperwork to review before approving the use of Ketamine for anything besides anesthetic purposes. I believe the true value of this drug is not the drug in itself, but the properties of the drug that make it appear to be an effective deterrent of depression. In the coming years, I would expect to see a Ketamine inspired medication on the market brought to you by one of your favorite pharmaceutical giants. Until then, the jury is pretty much out on whether this drug can do more harm than good.

Please take care in self medicating.

Don't let "Personal sensitivity" cloud ur judgement, Soldier.

They are making watermelons with out seeds, bro.

If they want to make K safer for public use, they can. But they choose not to.

Pharma companies r not as righteous as ur post makes them sound.

They need billions of dollars for hush hush money, (fines)**, on the products they R selling.

And if this chemical takes over the industry, their shelves would look a lot smaller. (Less money for them).

Blessings.

I think my post was very objective "Monk". Proof read your own for subjectivity.

Many blessings, Namaste, Ah-Salami-I-Like-Em,

PS I'm bored with your stupidity. You're on my ignore list.

When ever u think u kno too much...

U will find out there's a lot that u don't kno.

Ignore this...

Blessings.

quick example he has to stick a tube in his dick to piss and needs a transplant to live past 40.

it aint all good

I just had to post this as I've had a rare life changing experience today. Being given K as an anaesthetic, mixed with benz, all IV was not whatI was expecting. I'd heard people say it just makes you feel drunk, or woozy. The dose I had took me to a place that I have never been before. I touched the edge of some kind of plane that exists, but is not noticeable in our waking life. These were waves of being that my brain had never explored before. Whether it was truly visions of an altered, parallel reality, or just chemicals in the brain making me feel this way, it still felt it.

I can describe this as a total near death experience. Even though I was never in danger, K is very safe and that's why the doc uses it, I came to the end of the line, and I prepared to let go. I imaged it with a warmth. Lke I was ready. To be brought back from this was something I cannot describe. K is f'cking wild. I've done alot of drugs and nothing has ever been like this one.

Ketamine allows you to explore the depths of your mind only acessable with this level of psychedelic or intensive meditation

Having undergone 4 seperate doses of K (non-recreational use) I am learning now to control the experience. It is not really like the experience of typical psychedelics such as acid or mescaline, but it is closer to those than to opts or ha$h.

With K you have zero control. You are not able to move or make decisions. You cannot  experience the external world through your senses as you would being conscious on recreational psychedelics. This all takes place in the mind. Minutes become hours. You cross dimensions, unfathomable distances. You accept death and then are brought back to life, or at least that is what feels like. Who knows if it's actually death. Probably it's not and a religious person would claim to see god, just as I saw my version of god as I floated over fields of ripe op!um poppies.

Waking up is like being sucked through super strong vacuum. K is definitely not fun, but I'm starting to like it anyways.

I had to have surgery and before they put me under I was on suboxone and nothing worked over that crap ! They tried morphine , OxyContin, fentanyl through my drip line and had no pain relief at all. Then the ansthesiest used ketamine, I was so happy the pain was gone and I was tripping one of the coolest trips I had. It didn't last long because I wanted to feel it longer but they rushed me into surgery. So I go to my doctor in my in California, he was a one stop doc , gave me my 99 plant license, suboxone, and general meds , like synthroid and also gave me ketamine for depression and pain. At first I tried to abuse it, but found after two days it was like injecting water. After I only used for what it was prescribed for when I was really in pain or was in major depression like not getting out of bed for two days, it improved my life tremendously. Now I'm in Ohio and cannot find a doctor who will prescribe it, I'm grateful for my source who provides ketamine fressnesus (sp) the kind I was legally prescribed, not keterol or calypsol, I think moderation is the key. Only use as prescribed and don't abuse this wonderful drug. When I first ordered from an iop, I went straight to the K hole, scared the shit out of me. But experience with it has helped me in so many areas of my life, depression, pain , and it has helped me detoxing off my suboxone, just my two cents!

Ok sorry, but the thread even says ketamine and everyone else wrote down their own experience with it and called it by name, so what did I do wrong that everybody else wrote containing drugs name, I'm not trying to be a smart ass, I just want to learn, because everyone else in that thread used the drug name, please tell me what to do, I don't like or enjoy getting you pissed off at me, can I change my nickname here to just lee? My husband says Heavenlee isn't fitting for me in the forum! Thanks! Marci

I feel like the kid that sits in the back of the class for getting into trouble all the time, sorry Jewy and Heisenberg will use k, would that work?

That's fine, but I wasn't really referring to the K in this case. As you said, many have mentioned it in this thread. Hell, its in the thread title.

See the strong PKs mentioned in full in your post? That's what I was referencing.

Ok, I see that but these were given to me by an anesthesiologist, I will refer by other names. I didn't go out and buy these drugs online or off the street, they were given to me in pre op by a doctor. I am sorry I messed up, I don't want to mess anything up for this board or for my fellow members, I apologize again and will use other names! Promise!

@HeavenLee,

We just want to stay as far under the radar as possible. Just say things a little differently, such as " I love Ket@meeen!," or

"OXEE¢ODON£ is da bomb." I realize I did say a¢id and m£$caline in my post with no censoring.

It's a bitch if you care about spelling, I know, but nobodies judging.

Or are they….? (I'm sure you can do better than my crappy examples in your day to day).
