I'm trying to see if I have a patient neglect case. I told my pain doc, the trigger point injections aren't working and I'm still in pain. He refuses to prescribe anything and can't see me for a few days so essentially I'm left out in the cold to suffer. There has got to be laws protecting patients from this tomfoolery. I'm waiting on phone calls to see if I have anything. Will report back and in the meantime was wondering if anybody has ever had to lawyer up and how did things go.

Mods hopefully this is in the right section, if not please move it.

Good luck to you. Way to stand up for yourself!
Thanks. I really hope I have something here. I have voice recordings of me and the nurse specifically saying doc won't prescribe anything and me telling her how much pain I am in. You guys keep your fingers crossed!

Finger Crossed. I too have been in the same place as you!!

After complaining about the injections hurting me more

Then I already was. The do. Not listening. Saying over and over

No meds here. I just stop going. It's been 3 or 4 months now

& still no luck finding a doctor!! Pain has ruined my life!!

Aren't there any patient advocates in your town that could help? Just my shitty two cents.

You know I'm beginning to wonder if the trigger point injections made me worse. The pain does feel worse and like you it's ruined my life. I was at work today and probably did 3 hours worth of work in an 8 hour work day because I was having trouble sitting up. I wish pain people could unite and have some sort of law passed. What state are you in? PM if you'd like.

I really haven't checked. I thought I would find some allies here in my area but so far no luck. But you certainly may have pointed me in a good direction. I'll see what I can find. Thanks

@Headbanger...you're the man.....I found a great site. Lets see how things go. Will keep you guys posted.

Allhoney75, I'm happy for you that you're fighting for your right to a pain free life.  Good job and good luck.  We should all be that brave.  I hope you get results and please fill us in on what happens.

Will do. Definitely keep you guys updated!

Tried the patient advocay group. The woman basically told me to go search around for a good doctor and tell them I didn't want to live like this forever. She also told me women who are in pain management aren't really taken seriously and that she has no faith in pain management doctors as they simply want to give you the most expensive injection just to fatten their pockets. She basically told me stuff I already knew. She did say if I continued to have bad service to simply call her back..............seems like nobody wants to help.

All the friggin doctors in this country are afraid to prescribe opiates cause of all the media hype. You got medical records for shits sake. Ask this women if the pain patient was her or her mother or daughter. Would she have such a cavalier attitude then?

I completely agree HB. It's disgusting and hard to believe sometimes.

I get trigger point injections every month for the past year, usually 7 or 8 at a time in my neck, but she also gives me 120 of the 10 mg. Hydros a month. I am also limited to 4 hours a day at work because the arm motion makes it worse. Got another MRI scheduled for end of the month. Last visit she also put me on 800 mg. Ibuprofen, 3 times a day.

Yes it is hard to believe in this day and time pain patients are treated this way. And it's universal.................all over the net, people from various states are in horrible condition because they can't get what they need. I read about people commiting suicide because the pain was too great. I wish there was a way pain patients could get together and lobby for better laws regarding pain patients. There are enough of us out there......we just gotta get a movement going somehow.

Fargo your doc sounds like my old doc. She would give me 120 vikes but that was before the law changed plus I ended up moving to another state because I needed to be around family with my condition.

Sad part about this whole thing is I've nearly wiped out my savings due to healthcare costs. MRIs, CT scan, copays, costs for epidural or trigger point injections etc all add up after awhile. At this age, I hate to move back home but it's looking more and more like I might have to.

All honey-/ I waited 3 weeks to be seen at this new doc today!

I drove 2 hours. He pretty much laughed at me..

Said there was people worse then me nothing he can do.

Not even give me Zolof or z@naflex!!

I even showed him a photo of how I welp up over my

Whole body!! & he said ah it's your neves but take some

Benadryl you will be ok ...

He said besides how am I suppose to know that's really you??

He told me young people around here like to snot things

Can't help You. I immediately text beach girl (above) lol

I was in tears being talked to like that

Nerve/Anxiety welps.

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  4. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  5. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
