Meprobamate Vs Carisoprodol Vs Zanaflex

I had a friend who was sending me zanaflex (2mg) a couple of years ago for back pain. To me they were strong and I could

only take 1/2 tab at a time but they worked really well!!!   Im still having problems with my back and last month

and my doctor gave me a script for Zanaflex (4mg).  I was looking forward to getting some relief but these do not work as well

in fact I don't think they are doing anything for me.

Here is MY experience with muscle relaxers. Except for Soma I had bad luck with them.

Flexeril: Similar to Elavil. I was on it for a year and it caused weight gain (just like Elavil). Use very sparingly - it stops working and you have to take more. It has a long half-life and wasn't for me.

Zanaflex: Used 2 and 4 mg. If you take it with food (which it advises) it knocks you out. But, only for 2-3 hours. Then you wake up feeling a hangover effect.

Meprobromate: Similar to Soma. It works. But, it works better when mixed with cod.

Soma: The best of all of them - but take too much and you will be a zombie. Again it works best mixed with cod.

Baclofen: When I used to see a pys. he gave me these. Really odd feeling. I couldn't stand them because they alter your judgement. They are suppose to work with alcholics - I have heard good things from those that I know.

I have given up muscle relaxers. Val works best FOR ME. Usually (I suffer from migraines) I take val and cod.

Those are my experiences. Yours may be different. Just thought I would share them.

My MD used to prescribe Soma with Cod. Up to about 2014. It worked wonderfully. It is hard to find at pharmacys. I had to go to a mom and pop pharmacy. The MD retired though. And now with DM programs good luck getting a Dr. to prescribe it for you - cause I live in a state which implements this program.

BTW: For those who don't know Flexeril is an old time antidepresent either a tertracylic or a tricyclic. It will put weight on you if you take it regulary.

So I've been prescribed just about every muscle relaxer under the sun. Skelaxin, Flexeril, Baclofin, Zanaflexx, and S0ma. Nothing helped my muscle spasms like a S0ma did. Yes they do have the strong effect but that's honestly the whole benefit to them. My doc has finally just kept me on va1ium for the last several years and they don't help as much as soma does. I typically use the va1ium for anxiety purposes but when I don't take them I can feel a muscle calming effect from them. The great thing about S0ma for me is that when I have trouble sleeping from muscle spasms or even general anxiety a s0ma in conjunction with a xan from my wife will put me out in a nice deep sleep. But not deep enough that I couldn't wake up if needed. I've never tried metr0bate but from the reviews I read they act slightly different than s0ma's do. So my 2 cents is if you can get a doctor to prescribe you s0mas then that's great. But in the US its getting harder to come by them. I had a good friend who got them up until the end of last year and the doctor finally stopped giving him them. He would help me with a few here and there but in all actuality they were no better than the ones I source from overseas. I've been getting them from the same place overseas for about 4 years off and on and they have always been great. I think that since the downturn of there presence in the US that the foreign suppliers stepped there game up. Hope this information helps the next person and best wishes to those who haven't found the right one for you. We all have to remember that everyone's body reacts differently to meds.

I'm not familiar w/ Zanaflex but Soma kicked my butt. Have you tried flexeril? I've been using Flexeril w/ good results, flex taken w/ valium, great results. Much luck  /default_unsure.png
S0m@ taken with V@l!um beats it hands down.  If it weren't for that dam tolerance thing.  Sometimes I feel like a dog chasing his tail. lol

I have a question, I hope I can get it answered in this thread.  I have tried Flexeril and I cant keep my eyes open after I take one.

A couple of years ago I started having lower back pain and a friend of mine helped me out and sent me a few 2mg zanaflex.  I would take 1mg and

they worked great.  Not too long ago I started having lower back pain again and I asked my doctor for a script, he gave me one for 4mg zanaflex.

Ok I had it filled at a local family pharmacy and the bottle says Tizanidine hcl 4mb  and then (Substituted for Zanaflex)  Im understanding Zanaflex ingredient is

tizanidine.  When I purchased this the pharmacist told me "zanaflex is not going to help you, it doesn't work very well)  I have taken up to

1 4mg tablet and it is not helping me at all.  Are there different Brands? of this medication and if so do some brands work better ?   Has this drug store

sold me a generic brand that (by their own words) doesn't work?  I have refills left on this, Id like to know what some of you think.   If any of you have any advice about this please post and educate me.  Thanks!

Yup, this stuff gave me hunger pains like nothing else. I had no idea it was an SSRI type antidepressant until one of my other medications gave me problems..

$0ma is the one and only effective relaxant for me. I've been prescribed the list of relaxants and only $0ma was even close to touching the muscle pain and stiffness. Sometimes if can be a bit sedating but the benifit far outweighs the risk.

Re: S0m@ - I'm looking for something to help with sleep & pain from years of labour and training (was a thai boxer, now mostly retired from sport).

I've tried most all sleep meds you can think of - my Doc was kind enough to work with me in that regard as I have PTSD, but wouldn't budge when I asked about muscle relaxers.

From what I've read, s0m@ seems to be the best of the batch but I would hear from those with experience & thanks to those who have shared in this thread.

Cheers,

- Savage

I've tried mepro and it isn't the same as s0ma, despite being what Som@ is metabolized into. Hair ~o~in is supposed to be metabolized into mor~feen but I'm on a relatively high dose of 'feen and the one time I tried the other, via insufflation (sniffed not eye v, it packed a much greater punch. And zanaflex was a disappointment. S0ma is the best muscle relaxer I've ever used, but in high dose it causes tremors and higher doses causes s0ma coma. Mepro has fewer of the side effects like tremors, but it never really made me feel good like s0ma. It was also cheaper to buy the s0ma, and given the amounts my GF and I can go through that is a big help financially. In the email only section they can be purchased for a real good price, thanks to H-man for posting the link. I've heard some people can get a lower quantity and better price, but 500 for 155 is a great deal so despite the large quantity it's a pretty good brand.

I hope that helps, just be careful not to over indulge.

That is because m0rph1ne has less of a QUICKER SET than H3r01N hence they make H3r01N illegal as it has no Health Benefits and more Abuse Potential than the same Substance it is metabolizes into. I believe S0m@ is Metabolized into Meprobamate and that is basically the same thing as a Barbiturate with all the same Effects of them along with horrible Withdrawal the Amount produced is most likely very small and different from person to person...   I am 100% about this and both these Drugs mixed together no wonder it is a great Muscle relaxant and that a Barbiturate like Effects from Meprobamate I'm assuming would reduce Tremors hence it does not cause them like S0m@. Unfortunately I got severe back pain except S0m@ Prescribed in Canada and I got no idea how much of a cross Tolerance it has with Benzodiazepines or how Safe it is to take with my Opioid Prescription that I'm Prescribed together.

SOM@500:
1/4: nightcap, euphoric, relaxing, sleep aid
1/2: pain relief, euphoria, pass out
500MG: Couch-locked!!! “What back spasms?!”
SIDE EFFECT: Uncontrollable sweating all day long

No other rel@xers work. None. Tylenol or Advil would be better than 99% of these prescribed muscle sugar pills! And yes, maybe of them DO cause insomnia. With 0 benefits to p@in relief.
And since PKs are no longer a long-term solution for me, SOM@500 is the next best thing for my injuries.
If clinically possible, I would love to use SOM@500 year round!!
But rel@xers are known to stop your heart in your sleep. SOM@s (and old school d@ns) were notorious for this; especially if alcohol and other m3ds are involved. People go to sleep; but never wake up — because their hearts stopped.

PS: Hearts have muscles too, yeah?

So be careful. Use sparingly @ minimal dosages (easier said than done; but it’s a must with these types of m3ds. The heart)

Soma I felt just like i was melting into the floor, very good muscle relaxant. Do not tale too many or drink on it, even a couple of beers made me shakey, so to speak. Mepbrobamate felt alot like a benzo to me..

I always recommend starting with 1/4s (125mg of SOMA is usually a good, safe place to start) 🙏🏽

  1. moai @ moai: @CalFresh Nah it doesn’t hurt to me but some ppl complain abt it, but I do 200mg per pin. So if you wanted a higher dose than that each I’d do multiple spots. Also I only recently got gluta from somewhere that wasn’t pharma grade, and these don’t even hurt either.
  2. moai @ moai: @neurowoot Bro no offense but that protocol seems so cope. Why aren’t you just on TRT?
  3. D @ drdrizzy13: I started going slightly grey in high school
  4. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: I'm 35 with a full head of hair so very grateful. I take that shit serious haha.
  5. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Enclopmiphene raised me to 800s and I did gailn more muscle but nothing compared to 150mg.T. I don't have male pattern baldness as neither of my older brothers are, and our mom's dad had a full head of hair which is where the gene comes from. I just found the minimal effective dose that also gave me the look I like and I've had no estrogen issues or acne. But there's always aromasin and accutane
  6. N @ neurowoot: Layne_Cobain, slightly cheaper option, has an okay success rate... HCG and Kisspeptin, alternating days (mostly). Brought me from 319 to 540. Not the worst. HCG specifically helps with balls volume haha
  7. L @ Layne_Cobain: I’ve always had severe anxiety also but I think the chronically low t (125 total) for 5 plus years now is making it worse…did trt help you with anxiety or depression if you had any of that?
  8. L @ Layne_Cobain: @tiquanunderwood did the enclomiphene not do much for yah? Yeah it’s not so much being on it for life as the side effects-shrinking nuts, hair loss, infertility exc
  9. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: But if you're afraid of inj3cting or being on it for life, once I started it I was more than cool with being on it forever. I feel so much fucking better.
  10. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: I used enclomiphene for a few months, then hopped on TRT a few years ago at 32. 0p1ates destroyed my endocrine system, even while off them for over a year my T levels were about 150 ng/dl. TRT best decision I ever made, and $200 covers the whole year for me. Excluding bloodwork of course.
  11. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Think you've had enough :) Happy almost Friday everyone!
  12. MrFuszy @ MrFuszy: Grab some dope*
  13. MrFuszy @ MrFuszy: Dude when did my life change From going down the steet to grab some sbkrz to scoring from Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Spain, EU -_-
  14. MrFuszy @ MrFuszy: Load*
  15. MrFuszy @ MrFuszy: Someone loae me w bowl of GO
  16. MrFuszy @ MrFuszy: Hey wait not with ou4 me
  17. L @ Layne_Cobain: @TheNinez thanks bro I think I’m gonna give it a go even tho it’s quite expensive but if it can make me feel much better it’s worth it
  18. CalFresh @ CalFresh: @moat I considered it but the recommended doses sound huge for IM. Doesn't it hurt like a MF to inject so muich? I remember getting a PCN shot at the local planned parenthood long long ago and even that little amoutn had me sore for a couple days
  19. proton369 @ proton369: 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
  20. T @ TheNinez: @Layne_Cobain would reccomend enclomiphene, trt made me feel soooo much better
