Mmj And How It Helps You

Awesome plan J!  I wish you the best in this crossover, LMK if you need any help along the way.  The natural way is the best way!

Sorry to hear, LWD, hope you can find something soon to take care of these issues that are affecting you.  Lack of sleep/insomnia is something that I can say I hate more than most anything, really affects my mood, motivation, outlook, you name it.  Adding pain to that equation complicates things even more.
Thank you H! I feel the exact same way. It's a snowball effect, pain, chronic lack of sleep leads to anxiety, etc, It really affects my mood too. I am in pain, then I don't sleep, don't eat, then it's harder to maintain a positive outlook, things feel or seem more overwhelming. I do not think I have slept more than a 4 hour stretch for the past month, and I think if I could get some actual sleep, it would help tremendously. My PCP prescribed Zolp 5-10 mg, and for whatever reason, it does not work. I took 10mg and slept for 4 hours. :o

Right on Jewy, with the total variety these days there are strains that help a lot for certain specific conditions more then other strains. Until you get exposed its difficult to understand how much things have changed with mmj, and that just like mydol works for specific types of pain and not so well for other types, so does the green and any specific strain.

I by no means am doubled over in pain from my back, but having almost total relief from persistent 5 to 7 level back pain within minutes when needed is vey nice. And minor WD's when you don't have it is much easier to deal with.

Longwaydown, get a handle on your sleep if you can and that will help, even if you need to take something to reset yourself and sleep patterns. Not getting good sleep over years can really mess you up. The jaw clinching is awful and lowering your stress or muscle relaxers will help but usually no ammoint of green, smoked or eaten, will really help. Get a night guard for your teeth/jaw at a pharmacy so you won't end up with nasty head aches/throbs that run from your jaw up to above your ear from all the gritting, Ouch.

Looking forward to the new additions here, variety is always nice.
Hi there, thanks for you input and suggestions! I know I need to get a handle on the sleeping thing very soon. I am going back to my dentist again, and we have been discussing the jaw clenching issue. And as you pointed out- it only makes the headache situation worse.

I hear that, a snowball effect is a great way to put it.

When my insomnia issues were worse, zolps didn't really help me at all either. I later realized that most of the sleep issues I was having were due to anxiety. The zolps only ended up contributing to the next day drowsiness, as they would make me very tired, but do almost nothing for my anxiety, so I still wouldn't really get any sleep.

That's how I was thinking of it one of the many nights when I couldn't sleep. One thing leads to another, or a snowball rolling downhill picks up more shit along its way down.

The Zolps were what she wanted me to try. And I really doubted they would work because the reason I don't sleep is pain, muscle tension, etc. I guess I hoped they might be enough to knock me into a sleep state for a while..

Not "necessarily" my advise, I am not a doctor, just things I find, obviously you must use your own discretion and judgement.

As bills and voter initiatives to legalize medical marijuana spread throughout both the United States and the rest of the world, it's important to focus on the scientific basis underlying the medical benefits of marijuana use instead of the social, political and legal hysteria that have been attached to it. The following video explains how cannabis can be used as an anti-cancer medicine.

To have a useful and well running community, we all should, and some do, contribute what we/they/and you can. Each of us sometimes make asses out of ourselves, and sometimes each of us have a great post. I'm all in the spirit of helping mah maing, and, like my ("brother from another mother") simply put forth what I can.

Thank you for your very kind words, your irreplaceable friendship, and your guidance through my experience here. I also, thank you.

It helps me eliminate pain instead of taking more addictive meds...

Eachstrain should have a different effect on ones body and can help for different things...

In some cases edibles is better to avoid the ingesting smoke part. But they also have vape machines to Also smoke healthy.

For the most part MD MJ..Helpss me with my anxiety and sleep disorder.

Thank you

Be sure to try asecond strain if the first doesn't work, before you give up on it..

Has been nothing but medically helpful for me

It's also been a blessing for appetite but there's so many more uses, I wish it was legal in my state!

  1. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  6. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
