Tylenol PMs

I was thinking about this the other day and it sounds silly but it's true. My p e r c s and a t I v a n, I watch like a neurotic, accountant hawk. I count every mg going in and obsessively monitor my use with days on/off. But I take Tylenol PMs constantly. Without them I don't sleep at all. I know the Tylenol amounts I take are so awful but I keep doing it anyway. There is no feeling of need or w/d symptoms from them but if I don't take it I don't sleep. I try to force myself to use the Otc sleep aids without pain relievers or at least without Tylenol but they never work the same. My poor liver.

I wish I could take any of the PM OTC products, but the Benadryl stuff makes my legs feel like major RLS happening and I am up fighting that feeling, just as regular Benadryl does to me.  I finally gave up trying to take it.

As I have gotten older Vic's affect me now too.  I take one and I am climbing the walls and hanging off the ceiling.   At least I do have a really good Dr who when I told her a few yrs ago  "please do not give me vic's anymore" after explaining why, she listened.  I told her a T3 would be better, itching or not, she trusted me and does script me some better PK's, (p's) but even though I can tolerate them better I have to break them in half as I am a lightweight as I age.  So my refill time is longer than most so that adds to my getting what I need as she knows I am not just visiting her for med scripts.

I did read the most requested awhile ago somewhere was any of the meds, sinus and allergy with pseudoephedrine in them.  This was not taking into account the meth made from them.  Second was Excedirin and the generics with the same compound.

Nearly all (if not totally all) of my medical problems are a direct result of my anxiety disorder (severe migraines, chronic insomnia, panic attacks, IBS, nausea. .) All of them are made worse by lack of sleep. RX sleeping pills I have had bad affects. Trazadone makes me feel Great! It was like I slept 10 hours of perfect sleep. Only I came to find out I was getting out of bed and doing stuff every night while I thought I was sleeping! Scared the beejesus out of me. I'd do really weird stuff like cook huge amounts of food in the dead of night and one night I drove to my exes and went to bed in my old bed! Ack! Shame too I thought thoseTraz worked a miracle until ik found out what my nocturnal self was up to.

Omg, you poor thing! Traz works great for me, but i have recently been on a mission to " get off of everything". Cannot seem to get off of effexor though. I am still hanging after almost three months. I cant seem to sleep through the night though. I have major anxiety as well. I know what you mean about it affecting everythi g alse! Good for you that you closely monitor your other meds. I was on high high doses of tramadol for about two years. It was a bitch to get off of it.

Luckily I've never had to go through any sort of withdrawls from anything. I can't imagine how hard it'd be to come off of everything while coping with an anxiety disorder. Sleep is a huge issue for people like us that I feel isn't really addressed by the medical profession.

No it not. Even my boyfriens says, just go work out. I work out an hour a day!

I realize this thread is a bit old but I do the exact same thing on Ambien! Sleep "doing' I call it. Scary!! Glad you never hurt yourself or got into too much trouble on the Tr@z. I also take Excedrin PM and had been for years until I found an alternative a while back. It has dried up so I suppose I will be back on the PM circuit. Have you tried Advil PM or the like? It does work as well for me as the Excedrin but I'm swapping out the acetaminophen for ibuprofen. I think that's a little better but not positive. We are talking years (decades?) of use by now.

I assume is has to be psychological or something but the Tylenol brand PMs just work best for me. (Or did anyway. Currently having a bout of insomnia and its not helping this time.) The generic pain reliever plus sleep med work better than just the sleep med alone but name brand Tylenol works best. I've done a few days mixing Trazadone with the Tylenol pms. The extra sedation seems to help keep me in bed instead of meandering around town.

Trazodone makes me feel the next day like an out body experience ,only med that helps me sleep is clonazepam,it works on my depression,I`m also a chronic back pain sufferer ,ritalin helps me concentrate ,works as analgesic on my back,Take tramadol like 2 hours before bedtime ,I had been taking the same script, for more than a year without ant tolerance, I take the same amount, but I take it just once at night with the clonazepam <i sleep from 6 yo 9 hours daily, also do some exercise for my stomach careful not to hurt my back  ,

Mine has to be advil and O*yc*d*ne.  I have been off advil for the last year because anti inflammatories are bad for fusions.  I miss my advil but make up for it with Tylenol.  Not the same as my favorite.

I won`t take Tylenol ,advil, none of nsaid ,Worse meds to take ,I did read of man taking Tylenol for the first time ,had a few drinks and die from liver failure, never had liver problems before taking Tylenol, Advil mask the symptoms of ulcers in your stomach ,tried taking melatonin ,it works ,but dreams are so real when I wake up think all day of the dreams as something it happened the day before,Weird

PTFC suggested milk thistle for the liver ,for liver support i been using it for a week , i dont feel sluggish, definitely noticing that effect ,thanks PTFC

Nice one, I do a couple of courses a year. Look after your liver and it will look after you!

Have you tried low doses of quetiapine? It works wonders for difficult insomnia. Benzos (in reasonable amount) can be added as needed.

Unisom is much stronger than benadryl and I like it a lot better, plus its OTC.  You can get phenagrin from Canada and that will KO you..

  2. J @ Jbil75yahoo: What’s TxID ?
  3. xenxra @ xenxra: thanks for being a swell guy, you earned it
  4. R @ rhodium: hello all thanks for being moved to the apporved section!
  5. P @ Poppycock: @Mammasboi123 thank you, I’m still getting the hang of using this platform. Sometimes when I try to search something it will come back with nothing or tell me what I typed in wasn’t long enough or something
  6. M @ Mammasboi123: Also, keep in mind that if a thread topic doesn’t already exist for a particular mag after searching for it, for a particular msg you’ve got questions on, you can always open a new thread under the appropriate section to get member feedback. I only mention doing it this other way due to there being a rule against members/vendors advertising or soliciting mags via the Shout Box. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets removed at some point.
  7. M @ Mammasboi123: @Poppycock, I would encourage you or any other member looking for current options for various mags to first check if an existing thread has already been created on the topic by using the Search bar found on the upper right corner of the site. For example, here’s a recent thread that was posted just a couple months ago that shows up when I type in ‘5APB’ to the search bar: https://drugbuyersguide.info/threads/4-fma-and-6-apb.11276/#post-268359.
