My Options For Back Pain Treatment

Thanks - I took 4 Advil, and that brought down my fever.  I am still in a very grumpy mood however. /default_sad.png

*feeds chicken soup and tucks into bed*

Did they say how long the yucky side effects will last?

Thanks for caring - it's just the house is a mess more than usual and someone is coming tomorrow so I wanted it more presentable. Then my husband tried to feed me moldy blueberries and use a sauce my food that needed to be refrigerated and had been stored outside the refrigerator. The bottle was covered in pet hair and teeth marks from our new puppy no doubt.

I don't think I'm being overly fussy that I don't want to eat in that kind of condition. however, since my husband read that there can be side effects including irritability, he blames anything I am dissatisfied with on a side effect from the treatment.

Then he was saying that he could either clean or make us dinner but not both. The way I took that was that I wouldn't get dinner tonight if I wanted the house to look presentable for tomorrow. I hate that I can't do anything by myself!

Take all the ones in your purse and quarters too. Make a list of things that need done. Label each task wiyh a price then show the kids. After they do a thing on the list they get to mark it off and take that jobs money value.

Thats what I do when my migraines are so bad all o can do is sit in the dark.

My only kids are furry babies lol. Otherwise it's just my husband and I.

But hey that is a great idea!

I am already paying to get the front lawn mowed because he wouldn't do it and I was afraid of getting a ticket. The backyard is completely overgrown taller than me. I keep asking him to spray back there to kill the growth, but he won't and the mowing person doesn't want to do it.

I am the main breadwinner in our household but he is still "the boss".

In that case I reccommend black leather and whips until the husband gets in line. >.>

Hi Shayna! Doesn't it suck to be helpless?

I hate that feeling, even if I'm well taken care of. Hopefully you'll be back in action soon so you can whip that hubby of yours into shape! I have been through what you are going through and it is rough! You'll get through it and things will improve when you find the treatment that helps the most. Moldy blueberries?

Yikes!

Thanks everyone for all your replies - even when laughing makes my back hurt, it is still worth it. :)

I didn't read the whole thread so sorry if I'm repeating someone. Have you tried physical therapy? The reason I ask is I used to get what you described w/the back going out & not being able to walk. I didn't go to PT but I learned the low stress exercises online & started doing them even though it hurts like a biåtch. Since strengthening my muscles I haven't had my back go out on me, it still hurts everyday but I can live w/pain. BTW, I have L1,L2,S1,S2 herniations & lumbar stenosis(the specialist said I had a back of a 70 year old @ 16). It's been over 10 years since I seen a doc for it so there's probably more going on now. Good luck though & hope it gets better.

Thanks everyone -- I have tried PT and got some relief, but right now I am scared to do anything with PT until I get medically cleared.  I have a bulging disc, though the dr said "it's not too bad".

What currently has me concerned is that I have been running a fever since after receiving the epidural on Monday morning.  My husband said this is a normal occurrence since my fever is not too high, and it goes back down when I take some Advil.

If it's not one thing, it's another. /default_smile.png

I have a horror-terror of PT after my last experience. I snapped my bone right above the elbow among other injuries from a really bad car accident. The break was strange (at the sturdiest point instead of the weakest). Cast was useless...ended up needing surgery with plates and pins and a special sling/splint for months. Then when that was over they sent me to pt to try and get range of motion back in it. The therapist keep pushing and pushing on it. First I'd cry but she'd keep going, putting her entire weight on it until I'd start screaming. They kept telling me I had to take the pain to get better. Well at my next x-ray they realized she was just driving one of the pins straight through my elbow. The joint has a gaping hole, she tore through tendons or ligaments or something and most of my elbow ended up a mess of scar tissue. I still require two surgeries to fix it that I have no insurance to pay for.

My advice is to make sure you're ready for physical therapy and don't let them decide how far they can go with it. I knew they were damaging me but I blindly just let them continue because I was 'supposed' to do eight weeks of it.

I am so sorry that you went through that experience. I had PT in 2010 that I quit because they kept hurting me.

At least I had the fun meds through it! Though of course that just helped mask how bad they were fucking me up. The pain was so bad that the doses of pills they had me on were so crazy strong. I remember one night I fell into a big laundry tub and couldn't get out! I called my bf for help. He mostly laughed for three minutes straight before getting me out.

Aaaaaaaaw, I'm sorry that happened WP, it's amazing how incompetent the so called professionals are isn't it!?

However, on a lighter note, I think I would have laughed like your BF if you had fallen into a laundry tub, sorry :-)

Hehehe.

He made up for it by going to the neighbors house, pounding on the door and forcing him to come fold my laundry and carry it home for me. (The laundry bin was like one of those big hospital carts except without wheels and was used as sort of a laundry lost and found for the apartments laundry mat. The guy wanted my dryers so he just took all my clothes out and threw them in the bin. When I tried to fish them out I fell in.) The guy was all meek and apologetic about it afterwards.

I know what you mean about feeling wobbly. I took a shower today and that wore me out physically.
I remember those days well. I hope it passes for you soon. I've never had spine pain but I know bone pain can be the worst! Are you still running a fever?

  8. R @ Royboy99: Man I really love these misters I make , it takes my day that’s at a 2 and cranks it up to at least a 9… with sustained reups as needed … if only this was fda approved med lol, make my life so much easier
  9. C @ ClintEastwood: Well I got burned on my first buy. It stral sucks the guy has sole things in stock. But definitely what I ordered and I thought he was honest because I asked for something very close to it and i said what about that one. Yeah I got it. And the comms were wired and he was really wanting me to make his forum board look better. Now I know the first thing to look at even before the menu. But I have some business with usps tomorrow and will ask for everything mailed to me especially packages
  10. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: Policies have changed and i would behoove everyone to due their due diligence and go have a look. The guidelines from 5-10 years ago dont apply. And rules, regulations and laws may not either, i mean do you see anyone giving 2 sh1tz about the C0n$tituti@n recently?
  11. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @rasetreydir, yeah those are good af too
  12. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Ross7223, they should boycott pre-paid p0stage
  13. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Gulp2788, no they do not as of sept 25, u cant assume everything is the same, or anything for that matter. Its a brave new A-1 world folks.
  14. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: My milage has differed to yours though, I've found them incredibly reliable with their tracking and 3 day delivery is pretty accurate.
  15. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: I agree but U5PS has to go through a legal process to search packages. Private companies can open your mail at their discretion.
  16. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: @Gulp2788 because they always lose pckgs, track1ng is never right, never is 3 day deliv3ry like they say
  17. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: @Ross7223 From my understanding that's actually counter-productive, but maybe you know something I don't. Why do you say that?
  18. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: Vendor$ should boycott U5P5, they are terrible!
