Nitrazepam - Not A Potent Sleep Aid?

Nothing to be scared of gallon just use sparingly as is with any benzo....

Peace

Bliss.....

I tried Nitrazepam the other night for the first time and while it worked, it did take a long time to kick in, and certainly I could have stayed awake.

I do like that you still feel it the next day (some people dont like that).

It took around 2-3 (10mg pills) until I felt relaxed enough to sleep. I think it is good, but if your insomnia is hardcore it might be worth considering something that packs more of a punch.

I think the 10mg Indian or similar ones are definitely not twice as strong as the 5mg chemist ones.T€maz@pam does nothing for me but nitraz does, everyone's different I suppose?..

Peace

Bliss....

I have Flormidaaal and Nitrraaz.  F knocks you to sleep but pricier,  N gets you there if you take enough.  ?

Yeah Midazolam packs a punch prob one of the best for sleep along with Halcion.

Edit: in my last post it was 2-3 (5mg) not (10mg) so total was around 15mg to get me to sleep.

I took two 15mg last night,  may have overdone it a bit.  ?
Sounds like you most definitely have a high tolerance ElectroNymph!!!.

That kinda amounts scare me although at a weekend that sounds like a LOVELY combo Midazolam and moggies yum, yum, yum. ..

A blunt and a beer and that sounds like HEAVEN go me??...

Peace

Bliss.....

^^^ I would like this but it won't let me. :(

Not looking forward to the inevitable taper...

Same here, just spent a like on your post :D

Yeah wow 30mg must have been stroong!

I took 20mg and that was a biiiit too strong, but I like them strong.

Why are you worried about tapering if you don't mind me asking? How often do you take benzos?

Also, I didn't know they come in 15 mg pills..I've only ever seen 5 mg.

I use nitr@z just to chill mostly, maybe after I've been using other things that make me a bit more alert...sometimes makes it easier to fall asleep, but I usually need to gorge on a cupboard full of food first. It's not often bennies make me euphoric, but nitr@z does. About an hour after taking them I take one of my daily op!ie doses, and, ahh...so nice. Limit benzo to once a week (or twice, one or two times a month), but it's so nice.

The mid@z you're talking about, I have some kept for emergencies, if my other half's family visits, I can just say 'I don't feel well, I need to go to bed'. Pop pill. Wake up and the house is empty again. Bang on!

My last tapering experience wasn't much fun.  Was tearing at the walls!

But last year,  just stopped and after a few days I was fine and watching snooker -  first sign of madness.

P. S.  Liked you back. ?

Ugh, doesn't sound fun... I haven't ever taken enough benzos for long enough to experience much withdrawals so never had to taper, and try to keep my use down to once or twice a week. Its been working fine for three years now, hope it remains that way.

Good morning! (running on 3 hours of sleep at the moment :/ )

I do a similar regime with benzo use, like this: week one: 20mg nitraaaz. week two: 20mg nitraaz and 2-3 days later, 20mg of di@zz or 2mg of et!izol@m. Week three: 20mg nitraaaz etc. I wonder about diaaaz's long half life and building up a tolerance...

Could I ask, do you use long half life bennies (which do you use?) and have you noticed tolerance building? I'm just very worried about becoming dependent...I have epilepsy as it is and an op!ie addiction, so...yeah...please help! eep... =(

Hi Smoka,

Well, been using this way for three years now, and honestly not much tolerance has built up. I might not notice as strong a sense of relaxation at very low doses, but its enough to help with sleep etc. So nothing much to complain about in that department.

Sometimes I have taken like 2 weeks off completely here and there, but otherwise, like 1-2 times a week is normal for me, and in very stressful situations (visiting my dad lol) maybe three times a week, but only very occasionally.

I rotate between using using very short acting ones like xannies, halci0n, and longer acting onessuch as Di@z or KP1ins. I do this because even though I much prefer longer acting ones, I would worry about taking them 2 times a week in terms of building up in my system, hence, I rotate long with short.

So maybe one week Ill do one long one, then next time I do one or two short ones. I mainly need them for insomnia, so the longer acting ones are a little more "recreational" for me, like a little treat, in that I'm super chilled for the next day, and sometimes a little longer.

Kava kava also helps me deal with anxiety without resorting to addictive medications, and so when I feel like I need a longer break from bennies I drink kava a few times that week.

I think the way you are doing it seems fairly safe in terms of keeping tolerance reasonably low (based on my similar experience) though of course I am not a doctor, so I don't know 100%.

I have read many reports on the internet of people dosing similar to what you are doing (kind of like as per needed basis) or more without noticing too much tolerance buildup over many years, though I am sure others may dissagree.

Out of curiosity how long have you been using at your current regime?

p.s. if you are worried about physical dependency you can try to extend the time between doses and if you feel any withdrawal you will know for sure, but I am fairly certain there wouldn't be much for the time being the way you are doing it.

Firstly, thanks so much for your reply Rishi. =)

You've reassured me quite a bit. I've been using this regime for around two years now. But I don't tend to take a fortnight break from them. I've got a very addictive personality, and feel like I just need them. D!@z freaks me out for its super long half life - it's ridiculous! So I don't take that often. It's n!tr@z that I love. Once a week, my favourite day of the week. I've tried many and nothing comes close to the blissful calm. I know that's a longish half life one, but I think because I only have a two dose week every other week (god, that was hard to word - hope it made sense), it doesn't matter as much. And quite often when I have a second weekly dose, I do keep that to a short half life one. This week I took n!tr@z and D1@z, so...agh...it scares me.

And you're right about kava! I use it every day without a bennie, and it is so useful. Sometimes it genuinely doesn't feel too far off a bennie.

I'm far better than I used to be...I've always left 3-4 day gaps, but there was a time I was taking them twice a week *every* week, and bigger doses, 30-40mg d!'z equivalent. Plus I drank heavily all the time as well. I'm lucky I came out of it okay to be honest. I think after that, I may feel...too scared sometimes? I'm not sure...

Glad my post was somewhat helpful :)

I also used to be less discriminating about how often I used benzos, and actually have cut down over the three years I have been using them to a small extent.

About being scared, well I think it can be good to be scared of addiction, that way we can keep ourselves in check.

Good luck and hope both of us continue at this amount or less and not towards more!

Also I agree Nitr@z is pretty amazing ;)

Thank you, the same to you as well! =)

Yes, that fear of addiction is definitely 'healthy'. I also remind myself 'this is nice, but if I use it every day I'll never get this nice feeling again'. It's good to remind yourself of that a lot, it's how I keep it in check.

It didn't work with op!es, but that was within weeks, I was quite addicted to them, different thing altogether.

I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.

  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.

  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
