People We Have Lost To Aids

There were many I knew of and many I did not. So very sad, so many talented people.

One of my bosses died of Aids and when I lived in the SF area I often did the sponsored Aids Walk to raise money in his memory.

Oh gee Cat! That must have been really tough. Such a horrible disease. My boss was just the sweetest little old guy and was known as Mr Santa Claus in the town where I worked. I remember watching him wither away. Left a lasting impact on me and I can't imagine if he'd been my dad!

I've lost two close relatives to AIDS. First my grandpa in 1993. He was my favorite person in the world and it was horrifying but thankfully pretty quick. And then my uncle, his son, in 1996. It's such an evil disease. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Very sorry to hear that Beachiegirl. When I lived in SF, I used to do the Aids walk every year and try and raise a little $. It was heartwarming to see the thousands that turned out each year. It was a great event.

  13. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: poor indiana jones :(
  14. D @ drdrizzy13: The transfer portal has turned big conferences especially the SEC more like trading players. And they need to fix the NIL deals. Not really fair for one player to get 7 mil and his teammate getting 1k. It's corrupted college football..
  15. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: @Layne_Cobain Lets go boyyyyyy!
  16. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Happy Football Sunday! Leggo Ravens baby.
  17. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Bulldogs take the cake - Kiffin deserves to play in a place called Death Valley - Man how I used to love Saturdays in the fall. But College Football is dead. My prediction? Transfer portal and NIL with million dollar “salaries” mean NCAA Football becomes the defacto NFL D league except they’re all free agents. To compete, Superconfrences are going to continue to consolidate, privatize or go corporate, and the NCAA can go back to worrying about title IXX and Women’s volleyball and such.
  18. D @ drdrizzy13: I think they'll probably win it all.
  19. D @ drdrizzy13: Georgia way too dominate
  20. M @ meepmoopmeep: i think most of us expected it but not how badly it went down
