People We Have Lost To Aids

There were many I knew of and many I did not. So very sad, so many talented people.

One of my bosses died of Aids and when I lived in the SF area I often did the sponsored Aids Walk to raise money in his memory.

Oh gee Cat! That must have been really tough. Such a horrible disease. My boss was just the sweetest little old guy and was known as Mr Santa Claus in the town where I worked. I remember watching him wither away. Left a lasting impact on me and I can't imagine if he'd been my dad!

I've lost two close relatives to AIDS. First my grandpa in 1993. He was my favorite person in the world and it was horrifying but thankfully pretty quick. And then my uncle, his son, in 1996. It's such an evil disease. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Very sorry to hear that Beachiegirl. When I lived in SF, I used to do the Aids walk every year and try and raise a little $. It was heartwarming to see the thousands that turned out each year. It was a great event.

  2. L @ Layne_Cobain: @Hankhill one of the best SB’s ever imo that goal line stance by the Ravens must still be in Jim Harbaughs nightmares considering he’d be a collegiate and pro championship winning coach
  3. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: gone.
  4. L @ lovOFopisndwn: rmp?

  8. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: @Hankhill and everone else. Love the sports talk. Yeah Ray Lewis is GOAT at MLB in my opinion. Both him and Ed Reed are fist ballot hall of famers. But yeah, that last game was painful.
  9. Hankhill @ Hankhill: ravens used to be my favorite team and I still love em, but since I smoved havent watched a game since the superbowl 2013. Ray lewis was a goat fr in my opinion
  10. M @ MCAJB6122: Sorry tiquan I know that must've been frustrating for you but I personally really enjoyed the game 😊
  11. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: @Layne_Cobain Honestly it is one of the worst ravens game I've watched since Lamar started in 2018, taking over for Flacco. Everything that could go wrong on offense did. We were moving the ball, but turning it over on flukey plays.
  12. L @ Layne_Cobain: @tiquanunderwood couldnt believe that bro I knew they’d be better with burrow back but you guys just kept shooting yourselves in the foot 5 turnovers 😬 but you still very alive after that win streak
  13. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Oof that was rough. Know how you feel this past Monday @Layne_Cobain
  14. M @ MCAJB6122: Great games earlier. Not my preferred outcomes but love when primetime games are close
  15. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Let's go ravens babyyyyy
  16. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Already watching!
