Good luck!!!Have the big, yearly doctor's visit today!
Nervous as hell. Had a preliminary urine sample given which was questionable. They have never said whether they drug test or not. Guess I'm about to find out!
Only a 12 panel. LOL What else(how many more) is there? I know there are other things but I've never heard of test that tests more than a 12 panel and anything beyond that is really a specialty testonce a year for me also for my doctor because of the monitoring program ,its a test that test the levels of each drug in your urine, i think it only test 12 panel but in depth
Even though those may be legal in CA they aren't in the US so they may still say you are violating your contract. It would be no different than if you took someone else's pk's.Good luck 2Earls, my standby response if questioned about opiate in the urine is that I take Canadian aspirin when in pain. They are sold over the counter in Canada and have a little codeine in them. So far I haven't had to use it. My doctor made me sign a contract about a year ago and I had to take a urine test then and once since then. I wasn't expecting it either time but I only take small amounts of p/k's and not every day and maybe a half of a val once a week but to my surprise she never mentioned anything when I went back. You'll do fine.
Yes, but I can always play dumb then. I bought them over the counter... I thought they were just aspirin... I can't believe they contain an opiate... stuff like that.Even though those may be legal in CA they aren't in the US so they may still say you are violating your contract. It would be no different than if you took someone else's pk's.
I got a bent pinky. It is psoriatic arthritis. No surgery, just an injection with a needle the gage of a coat hanger every 2 weeks. (Humira) GL with the surgery. 2nd opinions from another doc can't hurt either. One crappy thing I found out is that I'm going to need surgery on my finger! It has a weird bump on the knuckle and when I wake up, it doesn't want to straighten out. Thought it was just arthritis or something. Apparently not. /default_sad.png
UA can only detect a few opies.Morfeen, Codeen which turns into Morph by your body, and Oksea. Sometimes Hydros will come up because a small metabolite is Morfeen but you would have to take it the day before because it is so littlle an amount. Any others have to have a special test to find them. If the med you are on isn't one of these,(i.e. Phet Mthodonny) then it would never show up in a standard test. You can also just tell them that you weren't in pain for the few days leading up and didn't take your meds before visit and nothing would show either because they are only in your urine for 3-4 days max.I have been lucky as well. Each time I think it's going to be the ONE. It's not.
My only fear is the opiate is not in my system that they prescribe. Low dose. Sometimes I run short or I helped out someone else shorting myself.
Or the wrong opiate showing up.
Nothing more embarrassing finding out a shot is coming, drop drawers and realize I wore a thong. Atleast they stayed on but the tech was like What?
That was a few years back when I needed a emergency shot when my back gave out. And was fit.
Forget what med was injected but ended on the table bottoms up.
