It's been 3 weeks since DOP and still no sign that vendor is going to hold up their end of the business agreement as nothing has shown up on ID. I have been patient and understanding, and haven't pried too much on order status. I stated a week ago that I would be reaching out for a refund in a few days if nothing changed. I am still waiting for them to get in touch with me but their business model seems to be very avoidant and unreliable as a communicator. This seems to be a recurring problem with other customers.
I left a positive review not long ago for two orders of ben20fury mags that went seamlessly and arrived in gold standard time, however, I will have to update that review until further action on behalf of the vendor. I would go through with the order as originally planned if vendor was more forthright in communication, but I am currently running out of time, and have settled on just wanting my money back.
I originally rated 10/10 for communication, but the updated score will reflect 6/10; speed I rated 10/10, and the updated score will now reflect 5/10, and reliability which I didn't rate originally, I will now rate as a 5.5/10. I would be very happy to bump these new ratings up if vendor reached out and informed me on the status of my order, or sent me my money back, but until then I would urge potential customers that unless you want or really need more rare magazines, you will be better off, less stressed, and more satisfied going to someone with a more consistent track record.
I will be patiently awaiting their correspondence.
After some chatting and negotiating a good time to make the refund, rhodium kept his word and refunded my money. My advice for others who have orders that have gone awry is, one: don't be an asshole, have some decency, a little patience, and rhodium will come through, and just be flexible. He's not an AI assistant, but he's a reliable trustworthy guy, but a human nonetheless, who is juggling multiple threads at once from dozens of orders, so have some patience and understanding.
Here are my updated service ratings:
Communication I'll bump up to an 8.5/10: Better communication patterns than most other vendors on here, but I do notice some slight avoidant tendencies, which can be a bit anxiety inducing, a little heads up from vendor can go a long way. Some of it is from going on a deserved holiday, but other times one gets the sense one is being ignored.
Speed is 7.75/10: was hard for him to stick to an agreed upon time once a refund was agreed upon, but once we managed to find a time and he had the means to, he got the total sum sent promptly. I was waiting 3+ weeks for some m3sc4l1n3 hcl mags, but apparently, from other sources of information, I heard the publisher had run out of paper so it was through no fault of rhodium that he couldn't get that edition sent.
Reliability I'll make an 8.75/10: Nothing much to say here, most of what I would say regarding reliability comes in the same vein as communication. They kept their word and apologized for any inconvenience.
Talk to him like a human, not as though you were arguing with some imbecile on X/twitter haha.
Judging from the reports of others on here, it would also seem that vendor could use some improvements and general streamlining of his business logistics, so I wish him good luck in that regard.
