Roxicodone

Yea it's a fine line when you are in pain . I have found that I do so much better since I have cut mine down. Now when I have a really bad pain day I do have stronger & it works . I am so glad to have found this forum . It is so nice to have others that understand.

I think it has become a disgrace how chronic pain patients are treated now. When I lost my doctor due to an unexpected insurance problem, not only can I not find a dr. to prescribe my pain meds but once I was referred to a pain clinic they would not return my calls. I have never had a problem like multiple scrips from multiple docs. I have medical records but I feel like I have leprosy and no dr. wants to deal with me.

At least once I get my insurance cancelled I can go back to my old dr. And until then I have DBG!

Just seeing the name 'Roxycodone' makes my mouth water.. I have never tried it myself & with the prices I doubt I ever will.. Im a HUGE Codeine fiend so I imagine Roxicodone would be like a hot coffee on a cold winters morning, so to speak.

Tried roxy this week. Normally take par 10 so I cut it in half. Hated it. Made me itch all darn night and no increased pain control. Must have different inactive ingredients.

Tried it for the first time today myself and found it delightful. Like you I cut in half, 30 would've been too much for me. The half is pleasantly kicking my ass. I agree the itch is worse but maybe for me that's only because I didn't take my usual antihistamine potentiator. First time I always just take a thing by itself. I took a little over half because it was small, tough and hard to break. I ended up using a pocket knife and it didn't break even. Of course I took the big half because I'm greedy! *purrrrrrrrrrs*

You can take certainantihistamines to increase the effect of the opiate you take. I know benedryl is a popular one. The great side effect is the elimination of opiate itch. I am not a big opiate user so I am sure someone else can elaborate on this subject.

@wyldepixie. What is an antihist amine potentiator?

I get prescribed hydroxyine for anxiety. It's an old school antihistamine that used to be OTC years ago. When all the new antihistamines came out they made it prescription. Because the side effects are so calming its mostly prescribed for anxiety instead of allergies.
Not entirely sure of the science behind it but the old school antihistamines potentiate 0pi@tes. Increases the oral bioavailability so the med is slightly stronger and lasts longer. It helps cut back on side effects too because you can take less to get the same result and it helps with the itch.

I just received the K9 roxy, 30mg.  I am extremely disappointed.  I was taking hydro/APAP, like 7.5/500 or so, and I would take up to 4 or 5 pills over the course of an evening, so like 45mg of hydrocodone maximum.

So when I got the roxy 30s, I only took 1/2, thinking it would be like 2 hydro 7.5s.  Well, over the course of the evening, I ended up taking 2 1/2 roxy 30s!  That's like 75mg and I almost felt nothing.

Has anyone had this problem with the K9 pills?  Ordered from J, and he said it was a new brand and maybe not what I expected.  He said he would let me place a new order for 1/2 the amount and he would send me extra of the different brand.  Hope I'm not disappointed.

I have searched around here for K9 experience but haven't found anything yet...

I haven't tried this brand.  I am extremely grateful for unknown1212's help when I was just beginning the ordering stage.  He explained to me how all brands are not created equal and if you order with these guys be really specific what you wanted.  I took his advice on the R 30's and it worked out wonderfully.  We're spending quite a bit of money on these orders and we definately want what we paid for.  The ones I ordered were blue with a little M on the front.  They were magnificent.  Maybe on your replacement order you can request those.

The replacement is now in the works.  I'm getting 10 for the price of 5.  What a great guy.  I asked for a shipping discount too, and he agreed!  We didn't discuss what the other brand is, but I will report back the results here /default_smile.png

Ya know my fav has always been either Vikings or perkie dans(been replaced by the other perco_cets).

Man I take two nor cos and I'm laid out. Never did rocksees so I can't judge others who do cause maybe that's all that will do the trick.

I'm just givin my opinion cause vickings are much cheaper but have the big downside - liver killer APAP.

ha, I had to google some of those terms, but now I know what you mean : )

I almost thought to just order the Vicodin 10/325, but I'm hopeful that the replacement is what I originally hoped for...

The rocksies were cheaper per mg than the perksies on the menus I got. I break em in half though. 15mgs seems about the perfect amount for me. I've gotten Vikings from the dentist for tooth pain and it worked well for that but I'd have to eat 3 to get any euphoria which doesn't end up being cheaper and then as you mentioned the super doses of APAP.

Like I said pixie, to each his own, it's just that V's cost 2 for 1 vs R's in my corner of the world but what ever floats your sub conscience is all that matters.

pixie, ya know what? I misspoke about the pricing they seem to be similar. So I was wrong about the cost. First time I was wrong. Today.

lol...

Yeah pixie, that's exactly what I was thinking when I broke my first one in half.  Imagine my disappointment...fingers crossed for a little M on the front I suppose.

They were a little bitch to break though. Tiny and hard. Can't get an even break on em.

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  4. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  5. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
