Could someone be so kind as to PM me this vendors email contact info.  I am looking for some new vendors at the moment.  I have been a member of this site since it came online, and was a long time member of the old DB board as well.  I was away for about 9 months this year and my account got deleted /default_sad.png  Anyway, some help would be much appreciated!  Thanks all! /default_smile.png
Hi 24, the rules.  I want you & all to read up really well before you start soliciting for anything.  Be careful, please

Hello and welcome back. I hate to sound like I am telling you what to do, because I am not, but if you have been gone for the past nine months, you may want to take a little time to go back through the Mexican threads and read a bit, beginning in mid-December. I only mention this because I saw that you were looking for R's info as well in hprx - and so much has happened in the past four weeks that you really would be doing yourself a favor to have some knowledge of.
Yep, Dorothy knows that which she speaks of.

I see you posted a similar request in another thread, I replied to it.

Bluesman echoed the same, he's a wise gentlemen as well.

Be safe,

Beranda

Welcome back, but I'm a bit confused. Your original account was not deleted, and in fact, it indicates that it was logged into at 11:16 AM Eastern time today, or a little over 2 hours ago.

Hey all -

New here but used to be an active member on the forums years ago - I recognize some familiar names on here and see alot of new ones. I've been reading alot and doing some of my own DD to try to get up to speed.

That said, I was about to pull the trigger with J this evening on a small order until I read some of the recent commentary. So is it safe so say it might be prudent to wait a bit? I've had a couple exchanges with J as recently as this morning, of course he didn't mention having any problems...

Any input would be greatly appreciated - in no hurry and don't want my first trip back to the well to go sideways.

Quoted my own post above for reference as to my situation...

Anyway - still on the sidelines and trying my best to monitor/make sense of the current SY climate. Any encouraging words to help push me off the fence? Not just with J but another good vendor?

As usual, I really appreciate any informed input!

I'll give a strong "maybe" with any SY vendor

Thanks guys...

Figures, as soon as I decide to take the plunge again the shit hits the fan /default_rolleyes.gif

also - are we talking LL's here or delays?
With this particular vendor, I can't say. As a whole, I think it's more along the lines of delays/undeliverable type situations more than anything. I think there's always the risk of LL, and that risk may be increasing soon. Just be careful and protect yourself the best way you know how. It's unpredictable, at best.

Hi Astro,

It is well documented on this thread as well as at least 7 other SY threads that indeed some major fan hitting did occur. Many, if not every DBG posted SY customer WAS greatly affected, For a number of weeks no solid communication was made to any DBG customer, including many long-time customers.

Beginning mid month of Dec. any funds sent were held by vendors without orders being filled and a constant thread of unfulfilled promises were given regarding when operations would resume.

In general it would appear that all orders were eventually filled and customers who have returned to patronize these vendors have no assurances that a similar event could occur again and at any time.

While the S Y vendors offer a wide range of HTF products, other domestic and Intl. sources offer some of the same or similar products.

Due to the unknown nature of this recent halt in service, continuing to carry on in a business as usual manner warrants some considerable thought and to accept the recent past as just a hiccup would mean you would have to be willing to ignore the facts laid out in front of you and hope that the same would not happen once again.

If you were spared the expense that many were forced to withstand, consider yourself lucky.

I hope you take my post as what it is, just one person's thoughts on a matter, and simply a recap of what you can easily piece together with your own eyes.

Much Luck,

Beranda

Just wanted to say ... terrific post Beranda.

Folks looking for information should read this post and heed the warning.

From all evidence, things are not back to "normal."

Good post Beranda. I am newbie to this whole 'new world' with a few months experience. I consider myself pretty level headed with common sense out the wazoo. If a friend told me this way to wire money out of country blindly and receive a product shipped in country..I'd answer...what? you nuts my friend. Don't do it. You f... nuts...DO NOT DO IT!

Situations change and desperate times unfortunately call for desperate measures, in my case anyways. I see the signs up for caution - rip tides..no swimming. but I'm out there.

Beranda -

Understood - very articulate, helpful note!I wish I could thank you directly - in lieu of that an open, wholehearted "thank you" my friend (or hope to be)!

Funny, while all that which is currently being speculated on as of late as to what is going on down there, J still assures to me up and down that other than a move to 2-day, he is all good, aimed and ready!

Tread lightly Astro...I have always loved J...but things seem "different" better to be safe than sorry!

Ditto that - J has been an awesome cat for quite sometime, but as someone said somewhere this evening - these guys are salesmen.  The last bundle I dropped earlier this week that appears lost for good - lots of people are swearing up and down they had great experiences ... last week! There's *a lot* that has changed in a few short days.  I wouldn't send one more cent that way for the foreseeable future.  All of these vendors are saying the same company line, give or take, and it's proven to be bullshit.  That said, you're a grown man (despite your name) /default_wink.png - make your own choices.  But for me  -- no mas!!

Please help me understand.  I consider myself a modestly intelligent, knowledgeable fellow, but I'm just dumbfounded.  Not specific to this vendor, but I've seen TNs created then cancelled today, yet more emails with promises of *everything* going out today, yet as far as I know, nothing.  And specific to this vendor, who I have considered as solid a person as you can find in this business, sends me an unsolicited email as of an hour ago stating "business as usual - let me know what you need!"  Well, sure, I've been living in a cave the last few weeks and haven't noticed one damn thing gone awry!!

Seriously??  Are they trying to squeeze as much out of us - every last dime - before they bite the proverbial dust??  Man, this just stretched the imagination - one can't make this stuff up!!

Dizzingly yours,

Nat
