Sounds like my hernia operation many years ago, back when I was a young lad. Nothing like feeling like someone with steel toed boots continuously kicking you in the grapes for about 3 days! Man, those were crazy times. Still haven't got that pin out of my thumb yet but guess what.. The good doctor decided I could go full duty at work! I emailed him and asked if he was "fucking kidding?" Sure, I'll lift that big ass PVC pipe and that 100 mandrel!! The "good doctor" will be hearing from me today when I go in for therapy. Anyway, have a good one my brotha from a different mudda.

Thank you! Well I had the emotional equivalent of being kicked in the nuts right after being kicked in the nuts...good thing I was wearing a cup /default_smile.png

The good news is my recuperation has been amazingly fast...There is nothing the right meds and a positive attitude can't handle!

Thanks for your welcome back!

Cheers!

Better living through chemistry!  Good to have you back sir.

It also doesn't help when some of the peeps on here come out all fucked up looking, take the package, blink to the driver, rip open the envelope, and wolf down the pharmaceuticals right there on the spot. Or even worse, just let the driver know how special their package is ahead of time, because they want him to take extra care of it and are even willing to share some of the pills in it.
Oh Man, me and my driver (her name is Earl) always kick it together when a delivery from J comes.

Please don't tell me I am not supposed to wolf down packages w/Earl? Earl is one of my only friends and if I don't let her know ahead of time about the contents, she might not want to be my friend anymore.

Should I go back and read the forum rules about wolfing?

Are you still on Physical Therapy?

Sometimes Physical Therapists can intervene and succeed with a doctor where a patient cannot.

Get your PT on your side after the thumb worsens.

Take pictures of it, document times/places of problems.

Don't get discouraged or give up, you have rights.

(but a crummy doctor).

When your thumb worsens with work, I'd demand a second opinion.

If denied that, simply switch doctors - that's what I had to do to get another opinion AND find out what was really wrong with me.  Guess who helped me?  My Physical Therapists.  On my side the whole way.

Denise, I love hearing your rants about the trouble with doctors, the Hippocratic oath, prescribing trams, etc. Having your professional knowledge and so being able to justify your opinions, this makes me feel just slightly better- That I am not the only one that docs are shrugging off, prescribing the wrong meds to, and being f'cked over by.

With this vendor, it was less than 24 hours from the time I placed my order to the time it was delivered. I asked for 2-day shipping (which was free of charge) but J. sent it overnight - and I was not charged!!!!! However, this was probably a mistake on their end. Service, communication and product EXCELLENT!!  Like with all off these vendors......prices are on the high side but not too many vendors offer what I was seeking. Also, J. included an extra free 3 tabs as well as a few samples of several other meds. The samples of course, were not meds that are priced individually (like $30-$40 a piece) but they were name brand. This is the first time using J. and will definitely use in the future for hard to find products. I was surprised that J. included samples (along with the free 3 tabs) and for this reason will definitely use again!

Having been on both sides (patient and healthcare provider), I think I have a pretty good picture of how things are and how they should be.

It always irked me when patients weren't receiving the care they should because they looked up to doctors as infallible and never questioned anything the doctor said.

My mother was erroneously diagnosed as having "Cough Asthma" and continued to worsen with medication for asthma.

I kept on her until she went for a second opinion at the St. Louis Asthma clinic (hailed as best in USA  then) and after few days of testing, they diagnosed her with a heart problem.  The meds she was taking were contraindicated for heart patients and that stupid doctor almost killed my mother.  She was dying right in front of our eyes - from the wrong diagnosis.

THAT is why I always encouraged my patients to seek other opinions and options.  I had a joke about God and doctors I always told them, too.

YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOD AND DOCTORS?  GOD DOESN'T THINK HE'S A DOCTOR!

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  4. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  5. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
