I'm sure someone will rip me a new one and pull the "search the board newb" card on me, but is MG the only one that DOES NOT ask for id or is it based upon various factors (i.e. the amount, the location you purchase the MG, etc)? Didn't know if it is well known when you will be prompted to show id versus just throwing down fake info. Thanks for any feedback in advance
They asked for ID at Wally World my last time for MG but WU I have never had to show ID and I have heard that WU only asked if over a certain amount (like over $900.00). I haven't done MG anywhere else so I'm not sure if the others outlets ask for ID or not.

 
MG never asks for ID at my local Wal-Mart. But I have not used them for a good 6 months (was doing the SR thing).

Last I checked, it was all about your location and their polices, and also if the amount was over X ($600 or $900) you get asked.

Either way, if they ask you for ID just say you don't have any on you and either they will hand you the money back, or they won't accept it to begin with. They're not going to keep it or call the police or anything like that...

Just get your form back, and try other MG locations in your area, they are all listed online.

TN came.

For sec reasons (IP logs, etc), I *try* not to check them unless something is really late. But it's always good to have a TN in your email inbox!

I can't tell whether it was not sent sat.del. (but just regular), or if the hub decided not to put it on a truck until next week. But everything looked on time, with no exceptions. Really sucks when everything is so close but you can't get to it.

UPDATE: everything is okay. It showed up. LOL.

Zero- I had that happen to me. The shipper sent it Friday and it arrived at the HUB Saturday but, since they did not pay for Saturday shipping, it did not get unloaded until Monday. It sucked because I knew it was there!!

 
I really, really really want to try this vendor! Going to try and get in touch today with the research I have done in this thread. Wish me luck!

 
As far as I can tell, most of, if not all SY vendors do not do emails on weekends.

I'd hold off until monday because your message might get lost in the queue and/or ignored... In everyones inbox, the last email is always at the top, the first is at the bottom. And it's easier and more productive to work top-down for the vendors. As they would be able to get to the immidiate situations quick, and also be able to ignore multiple emails from the same people (some of the peeps on here like to send 10-20 emails to the vendor about their order, or about some minor thing).

Update: it came on time. Sat.Del.

I think what happened is UPS is experiencing more volume during the holidays, and when it gets to the local hub, some drivers might be saving time by not scanning each package as they place them in the truck, and the customer-facing tracking system ends up thinking it didn't make it on time / will be re-sched for next business day (if that's even how it works).

Flawless transaction. 24h turnaround from payment to product.

Going in I don't know when MG will ask for ID(never happened to me) but if you have sent money and what to change receivers(happened to me) or want to request a refund they will ask for ID. Family correct me if I'm wrong.

 
Thanks H! It's a good thing I didn't have much to do yesterday, well I did, but just have to play catch up today. /default_smile.png. It gets in your blood the reading, kinda like a soap opera! Will the package come on time? Will the TN be there in a timely fashion? Will the issue get resolved? All this and more DGB's Days of our Lives! :)

 
And I am going to plunge myself right into the thick of it and try and contact this vendor!

 
Hi everybody! Sent an email to J and it came back as a failed email. All my reading and I still got it wrong! Shows how much I need to learn! Going to attempt the other method of getting ahold of him, if that doesn't work, I hope someone will help me plz? :)

 
Prices seem fair. Will be placing an order once I can get his contact info. Just went through all 80 pages with no luck finding his contact info....haha

The last time I used MG is was one of those phone things were you order and then go up to the til and pay. They immediately asked for ID but I said I didn't bring any. They just moved on to asking what the senders name was, I paid, and all was good. 

If they ask for ID don't freak out. Just say you don't have any. If they decline your business based on that single hang-up take you business to another MG agent. I know it is sometimes nerve racking but there is never really any reason to pull out an ID, unless it is the high quality back up one of your alter egos who of course looks identical to you, but has a different name, and is from Boise Idaho instead of Miami, your hometown.

 
Ok, I tried on Safari , and I tried on Firefox. Both of them told me I was Forbidden I don't have permission to access/on this server. Additionally a 404 not found error was encountered while trying to use an error document to handle the request. So....can someone give me a little help or another idea how to get in touch? Thanks in advance! Everybody have a happy turkey day!
