Sweet Sweet Soma

Hi, I used sewmah for over 12 years now. I believe it is def the best of its class of meds. IMHO, I think its best on a lightly filled stomach. please be VERY careful as it hits QUICKLY, I can usually expect to feel tight muscles start to relax within 7 minutes even now after 12+ years.

For me, taking ohpea et first then sewmuh about 20 mins later is ideal. I've usually used hidrow, lately was forced to have pirkos instead and I really don't like it as much cuz makes me feel more...sleepy. not productive. But I'm certain its due to the pirkose. Highdrow and sewmah were once nicknamed the "las vegas cocktail."

OOPS! I almost forgot. I would think 2 is a good # to start with NOT 6. In my opinion....

That's 2 350s? I found that one works well already after only a week I feel less tight,  but my doc said that doctors don't write scripts for it any more. Alas I have my vendors here to save the day.

Trudy,

Do you not build up a tolerance to them?

Yes, tolerance can build up quickly, but I alternate with PKs sometimes during the day instead of specifically combining them. I have found that adding 60mgs of regular (NOT instant release) pseudoephidrine to 175mgs of sewmuh can make it feel more like 350mgs and combats afternoon drowsiness.. But don't do it unless you know your body's reaction to pseudoephidrine! Also, I sent u a PM.

The biggest problem for me as others have mentioned is the high tolerance and uncertain dosing that comes after long periods of use.  It's risky for me for that reason,  I try to stay clear of it now.  For a starting dose I would suggest 3.5 350mg tablets for recreational purposes.  For an average sized male.

Tolerance def. builds up quickly, glad you didn't start with 6-8. That could have caused a "s0ma" c0ma", which isn't really dangerous (AFAIK, at least at that level) but would have scared you and even worse people around you. Best to take baby steps with those things.

Soma comas are fucking scary to see, if you don't know if someone has taken them. Start low work up.

This stuff really works for immediate relief and I can see the potential for addiction already. I asked my pain doc about it and she said she's never once prescribed it, and reminded me that Strokes have a song about it, meaning = bad.

I'm keeping it around for emergencies. I am fan of it already.

BTOX - Just wondering if you have found a substantial difference in SDS so-mahh versus DDS so-mah.  I'm considering giving DDS a try, but I've had success with SDS getting to me fairly quickly so am undecided.  SDS no longer has the "W" brand right now though.

Afaik, "Mark" may have been a 1 timer. Next time was "w"again.

Btw, makers of Mark make many many OTC US meds, chain generics mostly.

About 2 years ago someone very close to me ate a bunch of somas (usually 3 or 4 350's) on an empty stomach, then ate as she usually did. Although I had previously begged her to lay down in the bed when she did this cause she had already fallen once while on em, she sat in her chair and spaced out..................

I talked to her on my cell about 11:30 that day and got home from work a few hours later. She was face down in the floor, not breathing, no pulse. I knew she was already gone..........CPR, 911, cops, rescue squad, EMT's........the ambulance took her away, no lights, too late.

She had fallen face first, never tried to break her fall, severly fractured her nose and face and because of the soma coma she never regained consciousness  and basically suffocated on her own blood.

Many drugs can be dangerous but soma is is seriously on my shit list as you might imagine..........

100,000 people a year die from prescription overdoses, no telling how many more are drug related.

Be careful people, its not worth your life.

I knew I shouldnt have read this thread................I still think about it every day so I guess it really didnt matter. /default_mellow.gif

reminds me of a silent film I saw not too long ago, the title eludes me right now. Sorry about your friend

I love my cari's they are the only thing that works for my spasms.. I have bad anxiety too but they also help with that. The days of the DAN's are gone but I found very decent alternatives.. one day I will find the right one that compares a 10 out of 10 but not yet. I actually was prescribed them 10 years ago after my life altering car accident and fell in love with how the muscle pain just disappeared. I had to double the recommend dose from 3 a day to 6 but never went beyond there. Now the doctor I go to would rather feed me PK's than give me a muscle relaxer. Go figure. But little do they know.. or do they /default_smile.png lol

Been off them for about 9 months and back is acting up again and so they are on there way again. Rather eat less PK's...

oh and to the person who passed from them if it was truly from them .. sorry to hear that.. I've been in the shakes on them once or twice but managed to keep a level head.. you would have to consume a hell of alot for something bad to happen IMHO but everyone is different.

Also they work wonderful for a sleep aid IMHO ... I sleep and eat better when taking cari's .. people tell me I am more outgoing and in a good mood.. hmmm I wonder.. until I sit down and nod off to bed that is

Although the somas werent the direct cause it was obviously a contributing factor. In other words if she hadnt eaten them she'd still be alive.

And mikey, you said my post sounded like a silent movie, a critique? If you actually  think about you may realize why.................

I am a recent discoverer of these and have to say I am a big fan. Although I've found the line between the right dose, and too much to be a thin line, I still don't see them as dangerous as other PKs as far as OD goes.

The problems I could see would be things like the friend falling on her face and injuring herself story. This could also turn into stumbling into traffic, or into a subway train- not on purpose.

We all know, don't drink with press meds, blah, blah,…I drink with V all the time so I'm used to it, but I say if you do not have a tolerance for $oma, do not take more than two and drink. I stumbled and fell destroying my closet door after taking three over an entire night with 3 or 4 drinks. I never get like that.

Now a days  I won't take more than two if I have to be in public. The stuff works better than PK for my back muscles tightness, the problem for me is I loose fine motor skills. My hands shake and I can't type. I need to type at work so I can't take 2 full ones at work.

If you are careful, and you want to take a half strip (or a full one for the serious and experienced vet only) do not leave the house, preferably the bed. The danger is not as much with OD as with injury. IMHO.

Our resident expert HighTIde has many great posts about the stuff on here, and knows way more than me.
