I just got linked to a series of articles about testosterone injections and how they can improve the quality of life for older men.  Does anyone know about that therapy.  Thanks ahead

I kno abit, I have used test therapy during my weight lifting endeavors. I have also been interested in the topic of the use of test and HGH to restore youthful levels of these hormones for life extension benefits. It seems that if used in moderation, and with the right lifestyle men are able to keep a youthful vigor into old age. I actually know some men on test therapy, and every one of them swear by the stuff... My advice to you, if you feel that your levels of test are low, go to your Dr. And ask him to test your levels of Test lol. If you have low levels, bam! You have yourself a script. There are many different kinds of test creams, and IV solutions. And for those a little less hardcore, there are plenty of herbal supplements that help to naturally and safely increase the amount of test your body can make on its own.

Only get inj's do NOT get cream or androgel or andriol...it's all over priced BS that doesn't work. It's all about the benjamins for the companies that make that crap. Get Watson testosterone cypionate.

Lots of older people supplement things like HGH, testosterone etc and do fine. Especially if you genuinely need it (lower levels due to age).

One think I'd look into is HCG therapy - it's an alternative to taking exogenous testosterone that doesnt result in your balls shrinking.

With any of these options though, especially HGH, you're looking at spending a good amount of cash.

If you're old it doesn't matter...hcg is merely for cosmetic effects. AAS users run it on long cycles to keep their balls more full so women aren't like "Why the F are your balls raisin size??!?!?"

Human US hgh is extremely expensive. Is it good? Hell yeah, it's the best! but is it worth it (think value wise)...no.

If your insurance covers it or most of it then jump on by all means...if you're paying out of pocket then forget it.

True that .. HRT (hormone replacement therapy) its a common therapy among elders but it has to be done carefully.

Testosterone brands such as Andriol or Androgel are pretty new to the market compared to other testosterone types and I would recommend those instead of some bathtube cooked/microwave sterilised testosterone blends made in some basement as I have seen online.

Regarding HGH , that is expensive as its a brand name product and its not yet released to be produced and marketed by generic companies. Somatropinum its an expensive product! From what I know Pfizer and Novo Nordisk produces HUMAN growth hormone, also a drug that has been faked like crazy!

The HCG seems to be an option. As human chorionic gonadotropine helps your gonads (yeah balls LOL ) to produce testosterone. If one is afraid of injecting there is always the posibility to replace injecting HCG with Clomiphene Citrate tabs. Results are simmilar only HCG is faster.

Oh, and HCG therapy is not that expensive. Making a top ... the most expensive is HGH followed by testosterone and HCG. Clomiphene being the cheapest.

How Clomid Works in Men
With the suspension of Cincinnati Reds pitcher Edinson Volquez for performance enhancing drug use and a swirl of rumors that the agent involved was clomiphene (also known as Clomid,) I thought it timely to write about how clomiphene works and how it’s used. From what I read on the internets, there is an enormous amount of misinformation floating around out there.

To understand how clomiphene works, you need to know how the pituitary controls the making of testosterone in the testis. Testosterone is made by Leydig cells in the testis, which I explained in my last post. The pituitary releases a hormone called luteinizing hormone (“LHâ€) that stimulates the Leydig cells to make testosterone. Testosterone is converted to the female hormone estrogen, (which I also explained in my last post,) and estrogen tells the pituitary to stop making more LH. This kind of negative feedback system is common when it comes to how hormones work. It’s just like a thermostat and heater. As the room gets warmer, the thermostat sends less electricity to the heater. When the room gets colder, the thermostat sends more electricity to the heater.

LH-testosterone.png
Clomiphene works by blocking estrogen at the pituitary. The pituitary sees less estrogen, and makes more LH. More LH means that the Leydig cells in the testis make more testosterone.

As I explained in my last post, giving testosterone to a man does just the opposite. The pituitary thinks that the testis is making plenty of testosterone, and LH falls. As a result, the testis stops making testosterone, and the usually high levels of testosterone in the testis fall to the lower level in the blood.

So clomiphene is a way to increase testosterone in the blood and the testis at the same time. It preserves testis size and function while increasing blood testosterone.

Unfortunately, clomiphene is not FDA approved for use in the male. Like most of the medications that we use to treat male fertility, the pharmaceutical company that originally sought approval by the FDA did it for women. Clomiphene is now generic, and it’s unlikely that anyone will pony up the hundreds of millions of dollars necessary to get it approved for the male. That’s the bad news. The good news is that it means that this medication is fairly inexpensive, cheaper than most forms of prescription testosterone. Can a doctor prescribe clomiphene for a man? Yes. It’s “off labelâ€, meaning that it’s not FDA approved for use in men.

As a medication, clomiphene is usually well tolerated by men. In my experience, most patients don’t feel anything as their testosterone rises. Those that do feel an increase in energy, sex drive, and muscle mass, especially if they work out. Very rarely I’ve had patients report that they feel too aggressive, or too angry. Very very rarely (twice in the last 20 years) I’ve had patients report visual changes. That’s worrisome, as the pituitary is near the optic nerve in the brain, and visual changes suggests that the pituitary may be changing in size. Because the skull is a closed space, it’s alarming if anything in the brain changes in size. In the last twenty years, I’ve also had two patients who had breast enlargement (called “gynecomastiaâ€) while using clomiphene. Needless to say, for any of these problematic side effects, the clomiphene is discontinued.

So that’s the story with clomiphene. It can be used in the male, either for fertility or low testosterone levels. It’s an off label prescription drug. It works, and is usually well tolerated by men who take it.

If you are on TRT/HRT you don't cycle off testosterone. You are on it for life (meaning= your ball are gonna be small, just accept it).

In terms of guys running steroid cycles yes you are correct it will help restart their hpta and get it back to normal much quicker than without and the testicles will return to full size much much quicker.

I didn't read your post but I just wanna say I absolutely HATE clomid. Turned me into a pre-teen female who was severely emotional, gave me outrageous mood swings. I'm not big into AAS anymore but the best, by far, PCT I've ever used was toremifene. Now days I'm on a very mild cruise so I don't need much PCT now.

Clomid actually does a good job but a lot of people suffer the same side effects I did. Please be very cautious if anyone is using it for the first time, might sound crazy but the moodiness was actually dangerous for me. Not like I would've killed someone but it could easily ruin some relationships.

HCG is legit but I don't like sub-Q injections. It can be taken in a few large doses following your cycle or small frequent doses during the cycle.

Tamoxifen is also worth mentioning...it does a good job too at bringing the "boys" back to life and doesn't cause any of the emotional BS but it can cause prostate cancer along with some other nasty physical sides and it should NEVER be used with or following any nandrolone ester.

Interesting point of view, from a bodybuilder I presume, the idea with the thread was about the best/convenient product to boost the testosterone production. Tamoxifene is a nice addition to this discussion ! Interesting... I will research a little this subject .

I've been on trt for about 3 years now. I did cycles when I was younger for years. My body was barely able to produce test anymore so I went to see a doc for try. It does wonders I have more energy, feel great, and the wife seems to enjoy also! I do every 2 weeks which works well for me. Its nice that I only see the doc every 6 months otherwise it could get quite pricey depending on copay!

No not a bodybuilder but I used to advise a few local athletes and did most my research on BB forums so I'm sure it sounds that way. Another product that's great and I'm sure you're familiar with is proviron. That's the only oral steroid I'd recommend to anyone since it's non-alkylated and doesn't rip your liver to shreds.

Proviron will accelerate hairloss like no other. If you're prone to hairloss I'd personally avoid all oral roids except turinabol and anavar. Proviron is notorious for massive hairloss in about 90% of men. I'm not prone with any compounds except proviron, masteron, and primo (in high doses). Proviron is awesome when paired with testosterone especially for sex drive and attitude (positive).

Gentlemen: If you're over 25 and feel tired or even mildly more of a "woman" go to a trt doc...make sure you get the injections. You will feel 5000% better within weeks. It's night and day. Essentially it is kinda like male birth control if you think about it, it's a little ridiculous how tight/anal some docs are about writing for test inj oil. Anybody who needs cycle help for anything feel free to PM me. I've built cycles for guys (and even a few gals) with all sorts of different goals ranging from an increase of well being, to building endurance, and the good old fashion "I just wanna be yoked".

I remember Proviron. Schering brand... its out of the market in many countries in Europe. I dont know why but I know we, as students, used to take Proviron so we can ejaculate like some crazy horses in big quantities. Anything to impress a chick ...  LOL Crazy times  /default_smile.png

On another note, yes Proviron is working ok but I wouldnt call it a steroid /default_smile.png

Proviron is a strong androgen (steroid) it doesnt really give muscle gains or anything but when taken with testosterone it is incredible.
