Glad you noticed that johnog,

It is interesting what you say, we often tell people to read rather than give them a straight up answer. We do this like Cat said to people who are new to the forum, for example people often join and say where should I start well the advice is always going to be start reading.

Nobody would hold anything against you or anybody else who decided to just give them the answer rather than telling them to go find it themselves. That maybe good as well.

The reason I myself would lean more to "find it yourself" in a lot of circumstances is that I think people will gain much more rewards from going and finding it. If it wasn't for the fact peoples money and other were risks at play here I would be in your camp completely but knowledge really is everything in this game, so if we can get people to gain more of it I feel like we are doing a good job.

If I tell people to read more I hope I do not come across as righteous but as a protector and helper.........? I am probably deluded haha.

hey johnnog,

Those posts simply do not happen anymore.  thank you for noticing.  Obviously some are on a power trip.  you can most certainly successfully mod a board without being an ass.  Of course being an ass to those who deserve it is necessary as well!  lol
