What is the most hydro (10/325) you take in a day?

I'm curious as to what the maximum some people will take in a day, considering that the 10mg hydros have 325mg of acetaminophen in them? The bottle I have says not to exceed 4 per day but I'm just curious as to what others are taking and what amount of acetaminophen can really be tolerated. Thanks.

@Kurt Codean  I have taken up to 10.  It is my understanding you should not exceed more than 4,000 mg of acetaminophen in one day.  I think you should take a lot less if you are consuming alcoholic beverages while taking the HyDros as the combo of booze and aceta can be really bad for your liver.   I also take milk thistle to help cleanse my organs while I am taking my meds and I drink a huge amount of water.....

I have never suffered any ill effects from taking that many other than a nice warm mellow feeling :)

The most I've taken is 8 in one day and that amount made me very sick to my stomach.  Needless to say that warm fuzzy feeling was overshadowed by the nausea.   I have been prescribed 6 a day by my doctors but was given blood tests once a year to monitor my kidney function.  I've always been told by these doctors to never exceed 3600 mg of acetaminophen a day.  I think if your monitored it's ok to exceed or doctors wouldn't prescribe more.  @aintnouse I've never tried milk thistle....I will have to check that out.  Thanks!! MC9

Kitty would take about 4 a day 6 on the weekends. Kitty misses her M63seven, but cant ever find any. I have Sciatica from the litter of kittens I have had, and Migraines that completely cause me to almost pass out. After 2013, docs now just give Tram@dol for pain. Kitty hates SNRI. makes my brain feel weird.

newest guidelines are 3000mg max for APAP per day - I always try to stay under 2000 and zero if I can manage it based on stock.

I haven't done hydro in ages, so expensive. But would it be possible to do a cold water extraction on them

yes very possible - same as percs, T3s, etc. you can more or less extract anything with APAP in it. lots of good online resources for the procedure. you'll lose some active ingredient in the process but if you are careful and patient and exacting in your procedure, you'll retain 80% or so and it is well worth it to save the liver

I didn't know I was that bad but I've taken over 30 in one day and almost at the same time. I would go to this pain clinic every 3 weeks and get 6 bottles of 60 each for $110 a bottle. Needless to say I was shocked at the Sy prices! I got booted from the clinic when they started checking the c.u.r.e.s site and saw that I was seeing another doctor for m s contin and Oxycodone. Man I wish I knew how good I had it...

Agreed!  Although I wasn't eating quite that amount of pastries, it was SO nice just to be able to obtain the large ones for around 2 each.. Can't believe they have quintupled in price within ten years, yikes.  Well, at least there's good ole Kody to keep around and he's been around the same for years...not exciting, but not an expensive date either...

I was gonna same the same about 4000 MGS of acetaminophen a day but in my addiction days I took 10 or more 10/500 back when those were still available

I took 300 in 7 days while in Vegas. Along with god knows how much booze. Stupid.

I have had scripts for them for years, but have never really done much clowning around with them so may - be 10 10mg in a day. Once.

It's just not a medication that has any appeal to me to take a lot of. Aside from the obvious pain alleviatiin, they tend to give me energy - up to a point. If I take too many my energy goes in the opposite direction and the worst is I start sweating...alot. ewww

Now oxy on the other hand; let's just say I'm glad we don't have a similar thread for that. I would be embarrassed to say.

Now watch, some trouble maker will have that thread going tomorrow  .

I accidentally took 20 in a day about a year ago. I know it sounds stupid but I got some 5's and 10's mixed up. Not pleasant as I did end up getting sick. Years ago during the height of my using hydro I'd take 12-15 10's per day so when I realized what I'd done - and panicked - I really thought I'd be ok based on my past use - not so!!!

Due to a car accident I receive 150 20mg Oxycodone per month along with 90 30mg Morphine er. After insurance I have to pay $18.50. Great price, but now I wish I did not need them. Took me a long while to find the doc though.

A little late to this topic but I am freaked out BC I take 2 1/2 to 3 --pills 10/325 norco a day rx'd by legitimate pain dr. for my degenerative spine disorder as result of a serious rear-ending in 1989 -by a drunk driver in a massive p/u truck who never stopped for a red light; I was stopped in front of him in my little shit Honda fast back. I had a concussion; car totaled; I was a wreck but for whatever reason I did not get the immediate care a whiplash/concussion pt needed at this place and time. Unfortunately, I was taken to a county hospital (busy, overworked staff) and did not get the first-line of whiplash correctives. I left the hospital with vicodin and nothing else. It took me months of extensive chiropractic and therapeutic deep massage to relieve me of the horrific immediate soft-tissue damage; and I finally found some relief .....my neck/spine calmed downed for a few years; I actually forgot about the accident, but not many years later the damage and the pain related to it would rear its it ugly head several years later. I am in chronic pain from stenosis, arthritis, four bulging discs, bone spurs, and tons of inflammation. I've had so many epi and facet injections; not to mention the radiopathy injections. I have monthly injections in my pain clinic office that help alleviate immediate pain and inflammation.

And I drink wine!!! I know it's crazy but I didn't ask for this!

Can anyone relate??

Yes, can relate - not to the exact circumstances - but long story short was taking 3 10/325s/day, with wine and also klons (2mg/day).  The 10/235s for about 7 years, the klons for over 22 years!  I got off both the norco and klons at the same time two years back.  Dr. told me I could/should have been a statistic.   I suppose I had developed a tolerance?  Anyway, on subs now, and an occasional klon to help maintain a sleep cycle.  The klon w/d was weird, I actually thought it was panic attacks, my Dr. explained that was actually my body crying out for the klons.  Took a year and really was not that bad.  Subz have been a savior for me.  Also spine/neck related, but not an accident.  Epi injections did help, I believe.  I will never stop drinking, and I actually am moderate on that front - IMO!.  Dr. has worked with me, too.

Hope your treatment addresses the underlying pain issues, Poppy.  Saw a great documentary outlining all the benefits of red wine last night, so that's just taking good care of yourself, girl!

Wow! Impressive story (quitting both at once!)  May I ask if you ever considered (or attempted) just "cutting back" on the Norkies instead, or as a first step?  My biggest problem when I've reduced or ran out early is NOT the physical pain (although it isn't fun, and it does make me a bit cranky!!!) but the utter exhaustion.  I remember some time ago when I knew I would be running out early - I tapered off, upped the vitamins, anti-diarreal meds, ibuprofen, etc so my physical pain was somewhat reduced and I had no "stomach" issues of cramping, etc.  But I just could NOT stay awake and out of theta brain waves.  I tookd 300 mg of Modafinal (more than what's considered appropriate), plus 100 mg per day of caffeine, plus 60 mgs of generic Sudafed three times per day and I still COULD NOT keep myself out of dreamland, even when awake, I was in a fog and needed to sleep and couldn't even get up to eat.  I could just sleep and sleep!

Re-reading my owns word above, I was actually on 6 10s/day, not 3!  But, I could not taper, Trudy. - not in my DNA.   Agree on the exhaustion - that was the big life disabler for me when getting off.  So subutex, then subs to the rescue.   Have you considered them?  I was getting the 7-yr meds from multiple doctors so felt I needed to fix what was exposing me (with LE).  Dr. would't let me take the klons after getting off Vs, even though sleep was what I needed most.

Weird thing about klon withdrawal was - I thought the only impact of not taking them would be not being able to sleep - at all really, other than occasionally passing out.  When I complained of a possible heart attack-like symptoms and difficulty breathing, new Dr. explained this was klon withdrawal.  I see it can be different for everybody now.  I do feel that I'm in a better overall place now - subs, melatonin, occasional klons.  I do have a sleep disorder, but should not have stayed with the vics for so long.

  10. R @ Royboy99: Man I really love these misters I make , it takes my day that’s at a 2 and cranks it up to at least a 9… with sustained reups as needed … if only this was fda approved med lol, make my life so much easier
  11. C @ ClintEastwood: Well I got burned on my first buy. It stral sucks the guy has sole things in stock. But definitely what I ordered and I thought he was honest because I asked for something very close to it and i said what about that one. Yeah I got it. And the comms were wired and he was really wanting me to make his forum board look better. Now I know the first thing to look at even before the menu. But I have some business with usps tomorrow and will ask for everything mailed to me especially packages
  12. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: Policies have changed and i would behoove everyone to due their due diligence and go have a look. The guidelines from 5-10 years ago dont apply. And rules, regulations and laws may not either, i mean do you see anyone giving 2 sh1tz about the C0n$tituti@n recently?
  13. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @rasetreydir, yeah those are good af too
  14. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Ross7223, they should boycott pre-paid p0stage
  15. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Gulp2788, no they do not as of sept 25, u cant assume everything is the same, or anything for that matter. Its a brave new A-1 world folks.
  16. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: My milage has differed to yours though, I've found them incredibly reliable with their tracking and 3 day delivery is pretty accurate.
  17. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: I agree but U5PS has to go through a legal process to search packages. Private companies can open your mail at their discretion.
  18. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: @Gulp2788 because they always lose pckgs, track1ng is never right, never is 3 day deliv3ry like they say
  19. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: @Ross7223 From my understanding that's actually counter-productive, but maybe you know something I don't. Why do you say that?
  20. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: Vendor$ should boycott U5P5, they are terrible!
