Why is it that good people almost always seem to get the short end of the stick?  The scumbags, liars, rapists, child molesters, murderers and general a$$hole type people seem to skate freely through life with nary a care in the world.  They remain healthy and just go through life like they are hit with the charmed stick.

Good people, they are the ones usually who get robbed, beaten down, bullied, get the debilitating or terminal illnesses, even screwed out of the sale price at the grocery store.

Pisses me off how many good people suffer the injustice of the bad and are left to deal with the physical / emotional scars while the bad person walks down the street whistling a f'n happy tune.

To tell you the truth I have been wondering that very thing for a long time... I guess those are the cards we are dealt and we need to do the best we can...I totally agree with you......

WTF is wrong with people?
KK, I truly think that people are born with a predisposition towards good / bad.  Other things from infancy to adulthood influence that predisposition and I think one can be swayed from one to the other, but WTF is wrong with people, at least here in the US; IMHO starts with an inherent sense of entitlement.  That combined with the need of newer generations to have immediate gratification, either good or bad, further contributes to a degradation of our society in general.

Combine that with a general lack of respect for what so many have gone through to ensure that we as citizens have the privilege of having a modicum of freedom of choice, speech and our overall freedom, lack of manners and the inability to actually communicate without everything being "be all end all", is sending our country down the toilet.  Root cause #2 is parents.  I have seen far too many parents that should not have children.  They promote the lack of values, work ethic, respect and loyalty to our country.  With each generation, it slides further into the abyss.

Now some good people are turned bad due to traumatic circumstance, horrible occurrences, etc.  I exclude them to an extent because it may be beyond their control to stop themselves from the slide to them being one of the "WTF is wrong with people" crowd.

It troubles me every day what I see our society becoming and the path I foresee it taking due to the "WTF is wrong with people" crowd.

I know that is not a comprehensive answer, but I reckon I have my own personal reason for being up on the soap box shouting this stuff out today.  Time to take this country back from the a-holes.  S-

DGSB,

I'd say this was absolutely comprehensive.

I know a few of these 'folks' and it bums me out every time another thing goes their way even as they lie, backstab, cheat and repeat.

I do believe in karma; but what I am learning with age and experience is that karma only works if everyone believe in it.

Most of the a-holes I know; just think they are innocent victims when their 'entitlements' don't pan out immediately as they feel they somehow are guaranteed (the idea of karma never occurs to them).

Because they are the 'victims'; they never stop to consider changing their own behavior would in turn change their circumstance.

...and therein lies the reason I tend to appreciate the company of animals over humans.

Right On!!!
I could not have had a rant as clear as that /default_smile.png.

I see that things will change after we get back to the point where a lot of people are living in boarding houses due to how things are spiraling down. No one is humble anymore, but circumstances will sooner or later change a lot of self entitled people. That song "How Does it Feel" will be many younger peoples and boomers theme song as their fake worlds crumble and they find they never thought to plan for retirement or life.

Both my wife and my grandparents ran boarding houses and the old pictures we see of large rooms with 20 beds lined up like an army barracks is what I think many boomers who didn't plan for retirement will be in, and their poorly equipped children who were taught nothing but a feeling of self entitlement will be in similar circumstances in their 150 square foot apartments that you see popping up in the suburbs now where real houses once stood.

Spot on. Best post ever! I have always instilled in my children that respect and hard work come first. They have both turned out well and made me proud and weren't given everything they wanted like so many have who don't appreciate it. I was also proud this year when my son chose to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S.Army. I hate when anyone feels entitled. I feel grateful for anything and everything I have been allowed to have in this life, mostly coming from years of hard work. However not many out there that want to put forth the effort that's for sure. Having chosen the profession of counting and controlling people's money, I have an even greater sense of how greed, entitlement, and decline of moral values has impaired our society.

I think I must have truly excellent karma or be the luckiest person alive. I've had so much bad shit happen in the last year and every single event has had an upside that outweighs or equals the bad and happens soon enough that I can appreciate it.

I'm so incredibly lucky that I haven't needed the "long view" to see how all the bad has been balanced by the good. Hopefully I'll remember this when it's tough for a long time with no upside.

If I get on DBG and start bitching y'all remind me of this post please and thank you

Hopefully I'm not one of "those" peop le y'all were referring to /default_smile.png
No not at all.... I think your cool as  shit.....Don't sweat it /default_ohmy.png  P.S I really enjoy your posts !  You need to post more often /default_smile.png

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  4. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  5. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
