I'm not here to judge you, but the way you seem to use/abuse benzos is a first-class ticket to heavy addiction. I personally got nothing out of clonazepam, but everybody's different, with me it's alprazolam FTW when it comes to panic attacks, but right now I'm just taking enough diazepam to get by each day.

I wouldn't mix alcohol with benzos if I were doesit if it's avoidable.

Dont know why someone would abuse alcohol with benzos,i would personally take a small dose before going out of alp sometimes, but in most cases whats the point ?

as it takes two drinks and your off your head already not caring or giving any attention.Plus next day is double the pain as benzos like alcohol do drain water out of the body.

anyway back to my topic i suffer with sad, anxiety, blushing and sweating not to mention mood swings. So F in all parts basically, but also im well able to handle benzos the amount i take would make some people OD probably, yet im approaching a point where i should be better chewing tic tacs as xanax wont even make me sleep anymore, just running thoughts, and dizepam kicks in so slow that by the time i need it im over the stress and only thing want to do is just get some sleep. So anyone some good advice out there ?

First things first, I have to advise you not to take advice from cadillak because from his posts it seems he's all about benzo abuse rather than responsible use.

That aside, I feel for you, I'm still addicted to benzos, but to a lesser extent than I was just a month ago. I was finally able to face the fact that I wasn't just using it because I'm an anxious person, I'd developed a real tolerance and addiction to them.

For me, it's hard to explain clearly because the last few years have been such a blur, but lately I attempted to get off of benzos completely by slowly tapering with diazepam. I failed to completely get off of them, but I'm maintaining with a lot less than I used to take.

What has helped me (aside from seriously sweating it out for a little while feeling sick from benzo withdrawal) is my increased physical activity level; yoga to be exact. It may sound stupid to some people, but I feel it honestly has helped me work out some of the anxiety I have pent up and it helps distract my crazy, racing thoughts.

Not the greatest advice in the world, I know, hopefully someone else can give you some additional ideas. All the best to you, I know benzo addiction is horrible.

Vitalis appreciate your advice, these benzos are doing me less favour now then positive,im almost at 20mg dose a day, once or twiece weekly, but couple day break doesnt do anything good just withdrawals are becoming more often instead getting them 3-4 dayls later now i get them almost daily headache and such. :/ only solution i see is relocating and getting a break for at least couple months or so,otherwise ill be sigining myself into detox as dont see other way to battle this S**t with some sort of therapy and break from the world.peace

Is this a 20mg dose of Xanax a day, once or twice weekly? If so, that sounds pretty horrible because the withdrawals must be awful while you're struggling through those couple day breaks. Yeah, if you can't taper the dose down slowly on your own using a longer half-life benzo then perhaps a proper detoxing is in order.

Best of luck to you.

no its like 2mg bar alp then 40mg diaz, in the morning then same around afternoon and xanax bars in between that time like 1 h apart a bar. Then i would finish taking anything around 3 in the day,and by 5 o clock id be functioning like theres a world peace /default_smile.png but only thing i would do is go to sleep and mostly sleep till next day morning. Then again couple days brake, few hard to sleep nights and back on the weekend shift with pills. The WDS do kick in fast and im miserable most of the time, but as i have nothing to do mostly shopping/visiting parents so im ok on such days without any need for meds as i hardly leave my comfort circle. Also good benefits are that although ive been using long now benzos but it gave me confidence in situations where before id had a panic attack even thinking about it,now i approach it as it comes ex speaking on the phone or short conversations, asking for help etc.

I definitely second the tapering, a few years ago when I was a lot more inexperienced and a bit more naive I was popping vals and xans like there was no tomorrow. Felt great (except for the trouble waking up in the morning!) and it never even occurred to me that I might be addicted. Then I went on holiday for 2 weeks with no supplies, because as far as I knew I wasn't addicted to anything. Cue some of the most horrific withdrawals I've ever experienced, a really horrible experience, and a wasted holiday! When I got home I took some more to relieve the symptoms but found a recommended tapering plan and stuck to it (as much as possible) which pretty much did the trick but it takes a while if you stick to the plan.

Benzos are still my favourite and most used drug by far but the key for me is to use when you need them or really want them but seriously try to avoid daily usage as dependence is a bitch and cold turkey withdrawal from heavy Xan usage is the most unpleasant thing I've ever experienced so be sure to taper down if you're thinking of reducing your intake. There are other strategies that can really help with day to day anxiety issues and they're worth investigating 100%.

My Primary Care Physician wouldn't even consider any Benzo's - when I was having terrible anxiety (working a full-time job, a part-time job, taking on temp jobs when I needed more money, and going to school full-time -paying for it myself- and trying to maintain straight A's) I was offered Paxil, or Elavil. Even my Pain Management Doctor would only give me 10 of the 5mg Valium per year (for when my neck was exceptionally bad). He said Valium was way too addictive, and in this regard too dangerous.

In a way, from personal experience, I can agree with your doctor somewhat. Benzos are certainly addictive for many people and should only be used short term, if at all, if one wishes not to become a slave to iop's for the rest of their lives, or at least a 'good' part of it.

In any event, benzos do help people overcome certain ailments if used responsibly.

Excellent post, @trillion.

Have also experienced personally much of what you wrote. I especially like your last sentence. Very true, indeed.

I've battled serious anxiety disorder since 1990, probably earlier and resisted medication for 15 years. I've tried everything from physical solutions (swimming, yoga, etc.) to non-benzo meds like buspar, ssri, snri and other nasty stuff. None have been effective and I can't say why. Speaking strictly about anxiety, benzos have been the only effective solution, and the only one I can take during the day and still function is half a mg of Lora. Over time I discovered the benefits of others (Xan for quick response to panic, or a buzz if I want, Dia for a good sleep or physical relaxation, or Clon to help sleep). I'd have to say my favorite is Xan because I can be in and out in a few hours and it hits quick and hard. But strictly to deal with my chronic condition, Lora does the job as prescribed.

If you're used to xanax, I think youll probably be disappointed if you start taking valium. Strictly from personal experience. Valium works fine, but isnt nearly as strong and abrupt as xanax. Valium will politely ask your anxiety to leave while Xanax will kick it in the nuts. Lol. Just keep a couple xtra xanax in your pocket for the day and you should be cool

  1. S @ scarred14: rift there is people who dont like having to weigh everything and especially compounds where u only need a tiny bit so it would probably sell but i feel its against the nature of what the compound should be for
  2. S @ scarred14: whats this about latsdoodis
  3. RiftChems @ RiftChems: yeah will prob just offer it in powder form
  4. xenxra @ xenxra: @RiftChems i'm sure given the nature of why most people are using that compound they would prefer non-pressed but i don't see it not selling

  6. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: So, it’s capricious and arbitrary to selectively fill some adderall Rx’s but not mine. I told “Jacob” I’d be making a board of pharmacy complaint and he could explain why in my individual case he refused to fill a valid prescription. His store policy can either fill nobody’s and violate contracts with health/drug insurance plans or fill everyone who presents with no clinical suspicion of harm or diversion on an individual basis. Corporate decisions are profit driven; unlawful if medical choice

  14. Ketmaster @ Ketmaster: Pretty sure most pharmacies won't honor a prescription from those kinds of services.
