Moved to the blacklist and banned.
Too many members waiting on mags and refunds.
We do give ample time before blacklisting vendors to give them the chance to make things right.
Once banned the chances of a refund are very slim.
That makes good sense, is why we (because it wasn't just me) didn't call for banning at first, to leave space for refunds to happen. Trouble is it also effectively leaves space for him to scam some more, and he's made the same offer of a refund to me 3 or 4 times now - and others, 'in a week' he says.
The latest was just last night, right after I posted he should be blacklisted now and you and I msg'd about the security deposit thing -
What I recently started a thread on. If this guy had paid a security deposit he probably wouldn't have gotten away with so much for so long - spilt milk now, I know, but at least some of it could have been prevented.
I do believe there is nothing left for him to milk here, his contact info on the first post has already been deleted over a week ago. And if you read the latest pages of this thread it speaks for itself, I can not stress enough how important it is to read the last pages of a vendor's thread to see if there are no issues before ordering a book.
If he's not milking the thread why's he still saying 'a week' and all will be well, when nobody who's been paying attention believes a word of it, if only for the chance of the incidental and unwary passerby making an order. I'd like to believe he means well with his offers of refunds but that's too close to what you'd expect from a scammer - preying on hope, and especially given the other factors detailed by me and other members in this thread his offers of refund 'in a week' have been beyond incredible for a while now.
So it begs the question, why is he still making (at least up to this point he's been banned) the offer of a refund if it's not going to happen and if there's no upside to it for him. I'd like to understand, what's your understanding? Do you think he kids himself he'll actually do it? Who knows, right.
You know your business better than I do, but I have often searched something here and landed in the middle of a thread where vendors contact details are very often repeatedly posted and the unwary could easily act on them - as they do. But your house, your call. I'd wipe his contact details out.
Anyway, on the bright side, I hope your efforts re the security deposit thing are fruitful.
