Abbreviations?

I've figured out one of the abbreviations since I'm new.  Could someone fill me in on the abbreviations for different things so I am able to post better and ask the questions that I need to ask?  Thanks.

Man, I agree!  Here's my questions so far:

SY? Cannot figure that one out. I think when using "R" that it stands for "A"ddy's cousin?  Any others would be much appreciated!!! /default_wink.png

SY is simply a city in a state ... Some vendors being located close to this city simply became known as the SY vendors.

Kind of like Dallas Texas is known to locals as "D".

No need to get anymore specific since we don't discuss locations on the open forum boards.

Hope that helps clear that one up, tho.

I've found, probably unfortunately, the meaning of some abbreviations used here can be found by surfing with your

search engine.

I can't say for sure but I believe if taken in context it's a person, like L and A.

I started to answer and remembered we have the same sucky sense of humor that doesn't come across in text. In this instance, since hooter and I have similar attitudes, I'm going to guess F**k The World is probably the preferred alternative. 

And I'm afraid FUBAR has became a fairly well known term. My dad was retired military and taught me way back, so I might be wrong. Having heard Early Cuyler say it, on Squidbillies, it may just be more of a redneck thing.

The only abbreviation I ever had trouble figuring out was "SY".  After some research I found out it was simply an abbreviation for the Me.x Ph@rmas.
