Yikes, sounds like a pain in the rear. Hope it gets resolved mimi. Electrum has been my fav so far.
The biggest pain. just sent 3rd email.  I'll ask about electrum when I get this figured out. I'm finding all this have really bad instructions and no way to contact anyone except email.  That annoys the hell out of me.

Anyone know a good btc forum?  It shouldn't take 4 days and not have any confirmations. I don't know if it has to do with my wallet being messed up.

I found a forum but it wanted a wallet address,  uh no.   And some other stuff.

I'm ready to tear my hair out.  I'm sure you all can tell.

This shows it takes 24 hours. I sent the btc on the 20th and I can't get it back till it's confirmed twice

Me too I did with xcoins now my account was hacked any use have to create another. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with Paxful @screamingmimi I can totally relate want to get order in before weekend any help who to use the two I have tried aren't working for me! Thanks

@PTFC   I found a phone number for Multibit!  It's US and of course no one will talk to me but one person I've worked with before is working on my case so I left a message because now it's messed up even more.  Doesn't show my $ amount.

I need to find another wallet or I'll just stick with coinbase and make another wallet and be done with it.

And 4 days and my btc still not confirmed.  Any ideas who to contact for that?

have you seen this?   https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-core/

I'm tempted to try it but I don't know how to tell if it's broadcasting.

BLockchain info.  FYI.    I still can't figure out fees. I paid more than calculated and 5 days later I still have no confirmations.

Hello,

The bitcoin mempool is currently backlogged, which is causing a delay with transaction confirmations. You can follow it live on this chart, which shows all pending bitcoin transactions on the bitcoin network - https://blockchain.info/charts/mempool-count. This is impacting the entire bitcoin network, not just Blockchain.info.

An unconfirmed transaction will eventually be accepted into a block by whichever mining pool mines the block, or the transaction will eventually be rejected by the bitcoin network after an estimated one to seven days. If it eventually is rejected, then the funds would remain at the bitcoin address they were sent from. The only thing you can do at this point is to wait and see if the transaction is accepted into a block. Like all wallet providers, Blockchain.info has absolutely no control over this, and cannot expedite transactions. This is always dependent upon the bitcoin network of miners, which we are not a part of.

Blockchain.info wallets utilize dynamic fees. The following link explains how this works - https://blog.blockchain.com/2016/03/16/introducing-dynamic-fees/.

Thanks for explaining information I have a better understanding dealing with bitcoins I feel so old this is all so new to me. Awesome and helpful post!

@Natty   So is there a way to delete those pending.   The top one will drop off in 6 days but the bottom one I put never.  I wonder if multibit worked if I could just move some money over but it's not working. and oh get this, last I looked coinbase is down so I can't use that to try to empty my wallet.  But my multibit wallet like I said has unconfirmed money which it is not recognizing.

I see what your saying now. Ill check it out when I get off work today and see if we can find something out.

That's rough..  I'm very sorry to hear about all of the hard luck stories listed above in the previous posts.  I have been using LBC for bitcoins for the past 4 years or so and never had a problem.  I also like using the BTC ATM's to buy bitcoins with cash and it sends the BTC right to my LBC wallet.

I'd love to have the ability to have an alternate currency, it was even mentioned before the latest ransom ware on a T.V. Hospital drama. Hackers took all the digital & computer records, testing & x-ray's etc. Some one had to have an operation & one of the M.D's paid 30 Bit Coins to pay the Hospitals "Ransom Demand." I think it was on about a month ago. I have looked into this & it's very scary. RXPRO

what is LBC? Oh local bit coin?    I'm housebound so I can't go out to get coins.  I just want my wallet to work. I ciled with the better business bureau and sent a copy of all my contacts with multibit to Customer servince manager.  I need another number besides C service.   that's just a message line.  probably don't even listen  No ones called me back

Just learned something.  If you get a message cannot decrypt bytes on Multibit your password is wrong.

All my problems gone.  Gonna shut down multibit and give electrum a shot.

Yes.. LBC= Local Bitcoins :)

I am sorry to hear about your experience with multibit.  I have heard a lot of nightmare stories with the exchanges and sites like that.  I hope everything works out for you.

Got my money but then just did an epic F up on Coinbase and accidentally transferred money to my Vault which I know is broken.  They know it's broken and there is a bug but I won't know for 2 days.  I have electrum loaded I just amd so scared now.   I have to say  when I first started using Multibit it really worked great and customer service was good and fast. Now,  not a word.  I closed the  app but will leave it here till all is safe.   Oh wll.

New to bitcoins, and virtual funds and whatnot. Are there still bitcoin "dealers" around(on here?) Forgive me if I'm using wrong terminology.

Can someone help me with coinbase to electrum? I finally got my money in coinbase.  I sent a test amount to electrum but I can't find the tx id.   The transfer is still pending but when I used multibit it would show the details of the transaction and give you a link to block chain so you can keep track of confirmations (I can see the confirmations in coinbase but not the tx id).   I have no way to accelerate the transsaction without the ID.   ANy one help?  From what I"ve seen on dr google, you need a confirmation first. That sort of defeats the purpose if you're trying to accelerate a transfer.

Whats an electrum? And how do i send bitcoins to someone?
Seriously, I am not willing to help someone that will not attempt to help themselves. Your on your own with this one. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and googled Electrum, and I was not surprised to see it at the very top.

Use google as a tool so you don't sound as if you crawled out from under a rock.

@Natty is right.  Also if you read through this thread there's a ton of info.  Learn like the rest of us. @natty and I have posted ton's fo stuff to help newbies which we learned on our own but shared.  @Natty  Got electrum up and running,

I posted a video in here or another thread on bitcoin.  Watch it.  Go to youtube.   Give it a shot then maybe we can help but I sure don't have the energy to teach you stuff you can easily find yourself.

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  4. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  5. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
