Bitcoin Suppliers

Hope no one asked this, I haven'et been around.  I went to electrum this morning and on the bottom next to BTC it says NO FX RATE AVAILABLE.

I closed and synced and get the same thing.

Dr. Google says change Fiat to somethng else ( I was on coinbase) and that fixed it.     Someone else said something about sweeping.

I don't know much about electrum, can anyone help?   Thanks.

I got bitcoin all set up and bought extra etc. (paxful) I had about $97 left. I haven't done anything and now its only $55! It says it fluctuates, but losing half in a few weeks? Am I doing something wrong? thanks
It's been up and down for weeks.  Just ignore it when it's like this.  It went down almost $10K in a month.   Just don't freak and when it's low, buy.

What’s up with coinbase needing an id front and back now?!!! And a picture?!!! I have money on there, wanted to add more and can’t because of this issue.

@Painful heart Are there any Bitcoin ATM's near you? They don't ask for a lot of info when you use them, just a name & phone that's it and you get your coins.

I want to purchase two magazine subscriptions from vendors on here but am having a damn hard time talking myself into this Bitc0!n merry-go-round. I have an account on three major exchanges, including L.B.C. which is a P2P exchange. All the sellers want full I.D. now with a picture of me holding whatever Government I.D. I take a picture of and a note! Even on P4x they want you to send in your passport without altering the pic to wipe certain details like the full passport #'s. I'm trying to order two yearly subscriptions so I won't have to go through this for a long time, or ever again!

I don't know who these exchanges share their data with or if the individual sellers of crypt0 on places like L.B.C. or P4x can be trusted. Supposedly they watermark your I.D. but with the right software a watermark could be easily removed I would imagine...Maybe this is just for citizens in my country? I'm not from the U.S. so maybe it's required now by The Government up north here. I never would of thought P2P exchanges would turn into book keeping services like C0!nbase. I might have to use M-G instead *holds breath* hopefully if I go that route I will get a nice teller because I'm sure not trying to wire donations online anymore...W-R f*cked with me. I told them my wire was for a close friend and not for business and they took my money out of my account and withheld for three days only to reject my transacti0n in the end. I made a bad impression and still can't imagine how pissed I would be if I was on the other side of this and had to run to a bank a few times only for them not to release the funds! All the while they had them out of my bank account and ready for p/u.

I'll let anyone know if I find a P2P or other type of exchange that doesn't require you to sell your soul just to buy some crypt0 😕

I guess what I dont understand,  if I trying to send a vendor $200 in bitcoin, looks like that could easy cost $250-300 just to obtain the bitcoin on paxful after all the BS fees/exchange rate.

That pretty much the way this works?  Just accept it?  Spend $300 in "cash" to pay a vendor $200 in BTC all because i can't just send the vendor $200 via WU/MG because they are shit.

This cover BTC in a nutshell?

If you think that's harsh try using a 81tc01n ATM.

Interesting you say that, at 13% atm seemed like one of the easiest most efficient ways of getting some btc.  Was going to try that later, might not waste my time now

Not sure if anyone can help, but cash app appears to be a 1:1 exchange unless Im missing something?   I know you now need to link a bank with them.   But once you buy, withdraw to your wallet,  all good no?  Send it from your wallet to anyone you want?  Thanks in advance.

All good. I use cash app for my btc purchase and it’s worked flawless for me. You do need to use your drivers license to validate your account to withdraw the coin

Does this supplier or anyone else accept PayPal instead of Credit Card?

Edit Paxful does at least I see, they require ID but doesn't seem too bad.

The mining fee is very low with c@sh app- I would say less than 5%. It’s very simple, too.
But I've read horror stories about c@sh @pp locking people out for no reason after they withdraw money.

Also read stories about people getting locked out before withdrawing $, meaning cash is virtually stolen.

If you ask them why, get some BS standard reply that you can't do anything about.  Not sure how accurate the info i researched is, but its certainly out there and sounds real.

I’m sure it is. I had that happen with Coinb@se- it was a nightmare and they also double dipped each withdrawal from my bank. My bank cancelled my debit card and each time and I was contacted by someone outside my bank- in a position of authority- the second time double funds were withdrawn. I could go on with more Coinb@se problems, but I’m done with them.

People can use whichever they want! I  was just sharing what worked for me, and I learned about it here in the forum.  I have 4 other  bitcoin options I’ve registered for, and of the five, this one has worked best for me with the least hassles and mining fees. Just sharing.

Low-fees and with Instant BTC delivery for some countries:

bitpanda.com

and

btcdirect.eu

are the ones lot of my clients are using and they are very happy with the services they provide.

If you need them fast, this is the best one I've found so far where you can buy using MC/Visa, of course fees are not low like the other two I've listed, but still fair especially compared to other portals. The daily/monthly limit is also very high: payments.changelly.com

Stay safe ;)

I am with you @Gracie5! I know all kinds of things can happen with any vendor however I have used the cash app from way back when it was initally called squarcash. Never any issues and after reading through a ton of BC vendors I found cash was the easiest, least expensive vendor. For this "older" who was petrified about "this" it was a dream.

Exactly, @alixjones2018- and people may not realize that not all services are available in the US or if you find a good one, it may not even be available in all US states. I learned all about one and got registered, and then found it’s not available in 7 states- one of which was if course mine!

From your fellow older~ G 💕

You can ultimately buy a prepaid paypal Mastercard at a gas station, register it online with paypal using a fake name and 2nd phone number (apps available that give you a secondary phone number)and in about a week or so you will get a personalized paypal Mastercard with that name on it, with many ways to fund that card/account so you can pay for multitudes of magazines.....but that's a whole different animal. Just try to stay away from Instant Buys and localbitcoin.com where sellers are overpricing their bitcoin by 50-75%....

I ended up signing up for cash app after Coinbase putting a 16 day hold on my funds from a bank transfer which only took about 24 hours to clear my bank. Now, I was able to purchase btc on cash app but can’t do a thing with them unfortunately this app is useless too. The enable withdrawal button is not working and apparently I am not the only one. I found others online having had same issue. Any one?

You have to go thru verification, scan your id to withdraw your coin from the app which took a day or two for me.

  3. xenxra @ xenxra: @3ak mostly, will prob be gone entirely by end of summer imo
  4. F @ frozenSR17: hope everyone has a nice start 2 their weekend. "keep it one hunnid," as someone once said to me

  6. xenxra @ xenxra: pretty sure black also went rogue sometime late last year
  7. Strawhat7 @ Strawhat7: Yo, whatever happened to Mr. Black? Just got a rando email from him after ghosting me like a year and a half ago
  8. LW815 @ LW815: Know what’s really going on in somebody else’s head or how much they’re really dealing with and feel like they’re left with no other options. Been a very sad few days but 2 complete (irl anyway) strangers cared enough about what I was going through to talk to me about it, though they owe me nothing and have no reason to help my personal pain other than the kindness in their own hearts. Just shows that this place is a real community, not just a forum of people who only care about themselves.
  9. LW815 @ LW815: Was nodding in/out the entire time writing those shouts and spparently was fully out sending the last one lol. But II find it ‘uplifting’ as two people I’ve never actually met and only know the others online presence through subscriptions, who I have a better chance of getting a handy J from Jesus Christ himself, both were so quick to share their own experience and wise words and assurances that things will look up and not to feel guilty or be mad at somebody for going that route - as you never
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @hotdog45 meh, same difference. they both got blacklisted on here. wouldn't be the first time a rogue shop sent out unsolicited comms after the fact.
  11. MOD @ MOD: Hello @everyone
  12. LW815 @ LW815: Own personal experience with this kind of this type kind of situation and sympathized with my pain when I really just needed somebody to talk to. Both went out of their way to help a stranger in a time of need when I really needed somebody, and body to talk to. MM
  13. LW815 @ LW815: Sent a simple conf email and I just dropped a ball on them. I really just needed to let it out, didn’t expect them to reply in such a thoughtful way that it drastically changed the rest of my day and mindset for the bette . Above and beyond - and the last night while chatting with another that I knew had at least once one child,, so i wished them a belated happy Father’s Day, which again caused me to spill it all to them and again received the most thoughtful and kind response, as well as their-
  14. LW815 @ LW815: They didn’t need to. They could have just continued on with the nature or the main purpose of what the relationship between us is, I didn’t really have anybody else to let it out to at the time and they both went far beyond what I’d expect. Not that I’d assumed they’re cold/A-holes - it was just a lot from somebody who’s technically a competent stranger. A very close friend of mine committed suicide on Father’s Day and iwas emotionally wrecked witih nobody to talk to, and the first author just
  15. LW815 @ LW815: @Mokachin0 not really uplifting in the normal sense, but two popular authors on here took the time out of their likely very busy days to not only read my massive walls of text, but both also replied with the most kind, thoughtful and positive responses when I randomly dumped my personal problems into their laps
  16. H @ hotdog45: I have never ordered mags from him I meant
  17. H @ hotdog45: @xenxra I thought that too but after digging on the site it is chemical cabinet. Either way I deleted the email. I have ordered mags from him, but I thought you guys should know he's reaching out to people again. After reading the thread if anyone gets an email from him I would suggest doing the same.
  18. xenxra @ xenxra: @hotdog45 isn't that ghost? he threw his rep in the trash and got blacklisted
  19. O @ oh be g: thank you! hopefully this will inpsirw someone!
