Something is not right. I am waiting on a 9/29 mailing. I just logged on to check mail status and was told that my account was "pending authorization" to access. I have been a loyal customer with a current outstanding order, but can't log on until my account is "authorized". Proceed with caution folks....

Their website and forums have been up & down for the last few days. I was able to log in to mine and see my orders status late Thursday evening, but have not looked since, so no idea if I'd get the same as you (they are down again as I'm typing, but will likely be up again later in the day). Probably getting a lot more traffic than usual under the circumstances.

And still a no show for my 09/23 (or 09/25 if it was posted then) /default_sad.png

Just to update, the site is back up and have been able to log in and see my orders status with no problem.

Just waiting for the them to arrive now....

Although ultimately optimistic it has been a bit over 3 weeks since my order was marked shipped - Sept. 25. I have guarded confidence that it'll arrive today. Thanks for the update dcaldwell!

Until SA's postal service gets it sh!t straight, I'll rely on alternatives and there seem to be more than enough...
It seems TTM is yet another victim of something completely out of their control. That truly sucks dingleberries!

Yep it's been over 3 weeks for my order. I'm starting to lose hope. Oh well

Ouch. I'm glad I bought insurance for my last order. I hope they can settle the strike soon.

Regardless of all the anti charge back check boxes, if item never left the country because of a strike that was already in process when letter mailed, one week from now I'm starting the process if letters don't start arriving in droves this coming week. Taking orders and shipping during a postal meltdown is not customer friendly at all. It's devious to accept anyone's $$ when at the time there's 0% chance of delivery. If they're still taking orders today, that's fraud since the post can't be dropped off anywhere. Just saying.

The bottom line is, ttm is in a area where a strike is going on. So would I order from them now? No way. But until I see things are right over there, then I will start using them again. I think that's the best thing anyone can do. My order was mailed Sept 29. Still nothing. That's a record for me. I was used to 5 to 9 days. But I get why I didn't get my order. If I do get it then that great, but I have already moved on and took it as a loss. It's the name of the game. All I know is things are moving very slowly so who knows when or if it will come. Just keep reading until things get better. Good luck to everyone.

Like I said, its the name of the game. It's a gamble. I hear what your saying but it's a business and when money is involved , people or vendors, they will do what they have to do to keep it going. They did a small part by letting people know what's happening. So as far as there concerned , they did there job and there hands are clean. They gave people the heads up. Now it's up to you to make your order or not. But of course they will still take your order. Why wouldn't they?? You have to remember, it's not a Walmart. That's the difference. We all know what it is.

As per ttm forum: They are no where near the danger zones, its the various sorting hubs that are short staffed and getting behind. Took my 30 days I had given up all hope then low and behold there it was. Just hang loose it'll show.APohio

Thank you for posting this.

Things do not look good.  This is from a national newspaper yesterday:

THE cash-strapped, strike-hammered SA Post Office (Sapo) is on the brink of collapse, MPs heard on Wednesday.

"The financial situation of the post office is dire. It is seriously dire," Sapo GM of public affairs Andrew Nongogo told Parliament’s communications and public enterprises select committee.

Referring to the strikes that have crippled post office operations over the past 10 weeks, he warned the parastatal was losing customers and money, and suggested there might not be enough to pay salaries at the end of the month.

"The fact that we are not at work right now (due to the strike), and we are losing customers, we are losing the public in general, means that there is no money — that should be coming into Sapo — that would allow us (to) even go and continue to pay salaries on the 25th."

*****************************

I'm not posting this to bring you all down, just to warn you to be aware that serious problems are continuing.  The article mentioned not just burned mail trucks but also vandalised post offices, many of which have been shut down because workers are afraid to enter them.  Maybe a lot of your letters are sitting inside those closed branches.  And if they can't pay the salaries this month that would make things more chaotic.

BUT...there was a mention of a news blackout because "sensitive negotiations" are underway.  Let's hope that's a good sign.  GLTA
Yea sounds bad but just like every other bad situation it will resolve itself, you think the people of SA are going to take this for long? Hell businesses and citizens alike are suffering just like us. May not happen next week but rest assured it will happen, its just inevitable. Till then remain patient and find a back-up vendor there are plenty.

. I remember I told you Apogio you would get yours. I'm glad you did.

Let's all wait and see. I know I keep saying good things happen to those who wait.

I still think that the backup from the beginning was probably overwhelming with a mountain-sized pile of backed up mail.

Now if we get to the end of Nov and only a few letters made it I will of course have to eat a big shit sandwich.

God please I will never ask you again for anything but don't make me eat poop.

Hope so...i'm having w/d now...sucks
I hate to hear that. I was there a few years ago and it's not a fun situation at all! I know it's not easy, but do your best to keep a positive attitude. Wish you all the best and keep your head up.

David I was in your spot last week and it was awful. Then I found another source on here and he saved my life. I would prob be in the hospital right now if i was still counting on ttm (even tho its not their fault) Benzo w/d is no joke. We can have seizures. Keep looking on here in DBG. You will find some venders that are on fire right now. Its so easy to find You can't miss em. Hang in there David.

  18. LW815 @ LW815: Know what’s really going on in somebody else’s head or how much they’re really dealing with and feel like they’re left with no other options. Been a very sad few days but 2 complete (irl anyway) strangers cared enough about what I was going through to talk to me about it, though they owe me nothing and have no reason to help my personal pain other than the kindness in their own hearts. Just shows that this place is a real community, not just a forum of people who only care about themselves.
  19. LW815 @ LW815: Was nodding in/out the entire time writing those shouts and spparently was fully out sending the last one lol. But II find it ‘uplifting’ as two people I’ve never actually met and only know the others online presence through subscriptions, who I have a better chance of getting a handy J from Jesus Christ himself, both were so quick to share their own experience and wise words and assurances that things will look up and not to feel guilty or be mad at somebody for going that route - as you never
  20. xenxra @ xenxra: @hotdog45 meh, same difference. they both got blacklisted on here. wouldn't be the first time a rogue shop sent out unsolicited comms after the fact.
